I go to Serendipity Cafe an unhealthy amount- at least twice a week for the past year. I'm a former barista, so I can be pretty snobby about lattes and they have the best lattes hands down. Every season they have a rotating latte menu and they never miss. I've attached pictures of two March specials I had- it's a shame these are the only photos I have, but the lattes are so good I chug them before I can get an aesthetically pleasing photo. Aside from the coffee, the pastries are excellent and their breakfast sandwiches are cheap, hearty, delicious. No other cafe compares in CNY. read more

This little cafe was difficult to find but delicious once we found it - it is attached to the ice cream stand with a small sign on the front! I was intrigued by their small loaves of home made sourdough and had to get one and I don't regret it. I tried the cookie dough cold brew and my friend tried the matcha with cold foam on top and we were both very impressed. Their menu has many options that I would love to go back and try them all! They also have a little gift shop area with merch, candles, etc and also all very cute. The place is very open and clean and lots of potential for some cute decor. The service was great and very friendly first off. When you walk in it is very vibrant and clean looking with the amount of windows and bright white aesthetic. The sandwich was delicious lots of eggs, 2 sausage patties, and cheese. I chose a croissant and added spicy aioli which both were an up charge but overall still reasonably priced. The flights my friend and I weren't as impressed with this one. I think it was just how different each one was. The maple was potent and you could see the syrup at the bottom. I enjoyed it but my friend did not, you gotta be a pure ny maple lover for that one. The orange vanilla was potent as a hot beverage but wasn't easily detectable as a cold latte (my friend got hot and I got cold). Tiramisu was by far the best one the flavor was light and not overpowering just the right amount. Overall we had fun trying the 4, I'm looking forward to the fall flight!! read more

Great little local coffee shop and bakery! Very bright and clean inside and we always feel welcome when we stop in for a coffee or tea. My wife loves the specialty coffees and I'm a fan of some of their iced tea/lemonades I've had on several occasions. Baked goods are always fun and rotate - on our most recent visit we grabbed a St Patrick's Day cupcake (check out the pic). Prices are what you'd expect at a boutique coffeeshop and service has always been friendly. Highly recommend if you're driving through Chittenango! read more

Be careful going to this place..... they claim they only put Halloween decorations but black crows, pentagrams and other demonic figurines are not just "Halloween" decorations. It's evil! But the coffee wasn't good either sooo won't be back anyway. read more

This was one of the best lattes I've had. I tried their samoas latte and do not regret it! You could taste the toasted coconut vividly without that artificial aftertaste. They also offer coffee flights I noticed. I wanted to try a half moon but they were out, so I'll have to stop back. It's quaint but cute inside with some seating. A very relaxed boho vibe. read more

Nice little place, that's unfortunately hard to find. They need a sign out on the main drag. Anyway, they have a decent selection of seasonal beverages and a smattering of baked goods. My absolute favorite coffee. The Valencia cold brew is a must but you can't go wrong with anything else. Staff is always pleasant. They work hard to make it cute and festive for upcoming holidays. I recommend this place to almost everyone I talk to. read more

Love this cafe. I have been here a couple times now and will continue to go back. I have tried the Nutella latte, which is fantastic and the coffee flight which was fun and obviously picture worthy. The cafe is spacious. The baristas are so sweet. The pastries are delicious and are made right in house! I only wish there was a changing table in the bathroom as I often bring my baby, but that definitely doesn't stop us from going! read more

I am a very frequent customer of Serendipity Cafe. Service is always friendly and prompt. Often patience is a virtue as it does take time to make espresso drinks. The beans are ground fresh, measured, packed and then extracted for a great espresso. If not exactly to their standards, they WILL redo the process. I primarily drink their drip coffee, but also enjoy their Americano, Cortado, Cold Brew and tea. Their Cold Brew is on tap and the best I have had. The facility is clean, accommodating and has plenty of parking. I ride motorcycles during the warmer months and seek out coffee shops. This is one of the best!!! Their baked goods are also very good and I was glad when they started offering a breakfast sandwich. Remember, although the coffee and pastries are good, it is more about the people, new and old.....!!! read more

Very unfriendly staff, walked in and it was awkward because no one said hello or acknowledged that I walked in. I ordered a Nutella latte and it tastes like beef broth. The most un-hazelnutty gross drink I've ever had. Very gross was not worth the $6 I paid for it. Also customer service goes a long way I could forgive the crappy latte if the service was good but that wasn't. If you want to stay in business I would suggest teaching your employees how to smile! The owner wasn't very polite either nor did she acknowledge our presence with a simple hello. I don't expect the red carpet to be rolled out but it's not hard to just say "hi" when people walk into your business. The environment in the coffee shopping is giving sterile hospital as well. Waste of time. Spent 30 minutes waiting for an iced vanilla chai and still never got it. I understand being busy on a Sunday but waiting that long for something premade, that all you need to do is add ice too? Wow. This place will not last if they do not pick up the pace. Serendipity Cafe is every coffee shop lover's dream. To start, the whole space is crisp and minimalist - everything is picture worthy. Everything is picture-worthy. Unlike most local cafes, it's spacious and there is plenty of seating - you don't have to feel bad about taking up a table for a couple hours. The homemade baked goods are delectable (I have tried the orange scone and the apple danish so far and they were incredible). The drinks are not only fun and delicious: it's evident that the baristas making them know what they are doing. They currently use Salt City coffee which is a local Syracuse-based coffee roaster. I had the pistachio milk latte which was both unique and the perfect balance of sweet but not too sweet.
