This place was busy on a weekday and still when I walked in felt truly welcomed. The front counter person was knowledgeable and suggested getting the pistachio latte!! Both the latte and pistachio chocolate cake were A-maze-ing!! The vibe was very chill, a little loud but very comfortable.. Next time I'll plan to sit outside- but make sure to visit Zaman Coffee House!!

This is a beautiful authentic middle eastern cafe. The ambiance is inviting and I love the decor that is focused on middle eastern culture. The menu is robust with a variety of delicious beverage options. They also have a decedent showcase of desserts and pastries. My favorite is the pistachio latte. The Spanish latte is good as well. Service is excellent.

Back for a second round! I have to say that one of my favorite things about this place is that they brew their drinks to order. No premade drinks that have been sitting around all day, No loads of sugar that are forced on you. I order the Saudi coffee which was perfect and a festival cake which was heavenly. Staff was generally nice but I interacted the most with Alyssa (I hope I spelled the name right). She was accommodating and patient, which I really appreciated.

This coffee house is absolutely stunning! From the moment I entered I was in awe of the beautiful aesthetics that reflects the owners culture, simply beautiful! My coffee date and I ordered their biscoff latte, bubble cake and lotus tres leche cake. The pastries were simply delicious, rich but not overly sweet, portion sizes were perfect! While I did not get to try their coffee my date stated the ice coffee was delightful. Staff were all very courteous & helpful. I am looking forward to my next visit and tasting my way through their pastry menu.

Got to try this place during my quick visit home and it was wonderful. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Place itself is small yet had extensive seating. They have a large booth reserved for groups 4+. -My best friend and I got iced Nutella lattes: 10/10 -My mom wanted a hot Dubai chocolate latte but the staff explained it would have melted so they made her a pistachio latte with chocolate drizzle and she loved it, 10/10 -We all shared the Turkish caramel cake, 10/10 -Brought my 93yo grandma the Dubai chocolate cake which she loved! 10/10 -I picked out some sort of chocolate strawberry dessert (not entirely sure what it was): cake was kind of dry and I wasn't crazy about the filling, 4/10. We will be back!

Overall, a nice additional to Syracuse! I rank coffee shops based, in part, on if they make their syrups or not. Zaman uses Monin, so minus a star there. It was really busy but I didn't feel I waited too long for my drink. There is a reward system that seems easy enough to accrue points. It's nice to still see some places rewarding loyalty.

Returned to try new items! I got their berry matcha, which was good but I, personally, prefer their traditional coffees. Last time I went, they had sold out of their baklava, so I thought I'd try again. This time, I came early enough to try their baklava. There were two different types to choose from - walnut filling and pistachio filling; I got the pistachio filling. The phyllo dough was wonderfully flaky and crispy and there was a good amount of pistachio in the filling. I really enjoyed it!

Love this place! A unique place to grab a treat in Syracuse. They have several types of coffee, American and Jordanian. I've tried both types of Chai and a pistachio matcha. Chai is more authentic and less sweet than what many Americans are use to but has a great depth of flavor and so comforting. Pistachio matcha was great, nutty, just a bit sweet, with matcha coming through. I sampled a variety of pastries, all were delicious but the Dubai cheesecake remains my favorite. Decent amount of parking for the coffee house and Walgreens next door and lots of seating inside, all low tops. Inside is cozy and so clean.

I know they just open so I'll adjust my review rating the more I visit. So I decided to stop here for the first time because I saw a few good reviews so far. First impressions walking in the place was bright and love the gold accents. Mocha Brownie Iced Coffee : it was delicious, a tad bit sweet for me but obviously mixed together it wasn't too bad. Strawberry Açaí Refresher : This was also good perfect sweetness, and much needed on a hot day. Red Velvet Cake : My little one picked this out, it was delicious, not overly sweet. We loved the strawberries in it as well. We can't wait to go back and try more menu items, the service was welcoming and friendly.

This used to be a Kubal coffee shop and they did a great job transforming the inside with improved seating, signage, and gold themed Arabic-inspired decor. I really liked the ambiance. I don't like super decadent and creamy coffees so I don't see myself coming here for a daily drink, but they offer many different styles of coffee. I'll be coming back to try the unique offerings over time, or when I want a sweet treat. You can customize drinks based on sweetness and milk preference. They also offer pastries and cakes, we got the baklava. This is a newly opened shop so drink prep was slow and there was some confusion at the pickup counter as drinks were being given out. The staff were very friendly tho! As the staff gets trained up and more organized I'm sure it'll be a 5 star spot. Check it out!

I was super excited to try out a new coffee shop and Zaman was great! They definitely had a long line and full seating area for a reason. The interior is beautiful too, well designed, nice seating, comfortable which is all appreciated. I got the iced pistachio latte with oat milk and i've never drank a coffee so fast in my life - it was SO good! The wait was not good and the employees were definitely working super hard. I also have a sesame allergy (which I know is popular among middle eastern dishes) and really appreciate when the employees know the answer to allergy items very quickly, which they did. They also have multiple bowls of small chocolates on the counter that are up for grabs which I think is very generous. My boyfriend and I each tried one and I really enjoyed both. They were both dark chocolate, one with nuts inside and another with a rich dark chocolate mousse inside. I can't wait to go here more often and try more items on their menu! Their pastries also looked delicious so I will have to go a bit hungry next time to give those a try. This is a great new addition to Syracuse!

Very cute but spacious spot. All the regular coffee items but so many more middle eastern choices too and lots of pastries. Very friendly and fast service. I don't like super sweet pastries and ask for a recommendation, they said the pistachio cream cake wasn't overly sweet. It was light and delicious. Turkish coffee was very dark, nutty and rich. The pistachio latte with chocolate drizzle was amazing!

I had a Drs appointment close by checked the Toast app wait time was low so I ordered. Caramel latte and a Lotus cake. I went inside it was very cute and clean well lit. No signs on where to go for pickups so I didn't realize I needed to go through the drive thru for those. Anyway after some confusion on the staff behalf I received my order and left. The latte was terrific! Very enjoyable. The cake was pretty disappointing. It's mousse not actually cake. There was no description when ordering so probably won't order sight unseen desserts there but will definitely come grab a latte in the drive thru!

    Turkish cake, so delicious

Overall, I enjoyed my visit. The vibe was relaxed and low-key, making it a good place to sit down and get some work done. I spent some time working while I was there and appreciated having a space where I could focus without feeling rushed. The staff was pleasant, and one of the employees was kind enough to take a picture for me when I asked, which I appreciated. The only thing that stood out to me was that there wasn't much of a greeting or acknowledgment when I walked in, but it wasn't a huge issue. The seating was okay. The chair I chose wasn't the most comfortable for an extended stay, but it got the job done. There was also some rock music playing during my visit, which helped create a casual atmosphere. I didn't order any coffee or food this time around, so I can't speak to the menu yet. This visit was more about finding a place to work and unwind for a bit. Would I come back? Yes. While I'm still searching for my go-to coffee lounge in Syracuse, Recess is definitely a spot I'd visit again. It has a chill, unpretentious vibe that makes it easy to settle in and spend some time there. I forgot to take more pictures will do when I go back.
