There's a coffee counter at the end of the Salt City Bar, and it's attached to a small food court featuring international cuisine. I ordered a vanilla latte, which was delicious, and another in our group had a pour-over that was clearly made with care. Salt City Bar does a lot for the community. It is a cozy place, and the drinks are nearly always amazing. The people working are a bit hit or miss, my friends and I go a lot and in the beginning were treated strangely. Sometimes they close early and encourage you to leave no matter how big your party is. That said. The drinks are very good, and the more we go the better they get each time and get more used to seeing us as regulars. I love how each location of Salt City Coffee has its own distinct personality, and the SCM one is certainly a vibe. During the day it's a coffee shop, and at night it transitions into a bar. I've only been to the cafe part, though the fun events and the gorgeous cocktails in the bar certainly catch my eye on social and it's definitely on my to do list. There's a good amount of tables inside and more outside on the patio. Drinks are good. The atmosphere is buzzy. Lots of folks working or meeting or just hanging out and catching up. I love that the coffee bar opens earlier than the market. There were lots of people in getting coffee, tea and pastries. Today was just a coffee day for me so I wanted to try their cold draft Ube and Oat milk. It was amazing with a slightly nutty and vanilla flavor which was enhanced with oat milk. The day was perfect, so sunny but not real hot, and the outside seating area is beautiful. What a great experience! Located downtown, within the Salt City Market, the Salt City Coffee and Bar has an extensive and unique list of drinks (both alcoholic and a variety of coffee drinks). I have plenty of beans at home but I missed the partnership with Brewery Ardennes (one of my favorite breweries in CNY) last year...I ran all around trying to find it and no luck. Im really not trying to be a jerk. You can see though my posts that this is rare to say. But the bartender here at salt city coffee might be the most pretentious and unwelcoming person I have ever been around in my 7000 mile food tour last year and now 2000 miles this year. The person with the hat and mustache yelled at anyone who sat at the chair that was too close to his register (first me who he told to move down then the next person who tried to approach the bar...just move the chair the ‍). . And while ordering with the super nice guy at the bar, he cut us off and berated me that my phone notes weren't in good enough view for him while I was showing the guy who was taking care of me. This isn't a bar for beer lovers, many selections are for juicy ipa fans and dessert sour lovers. If you seek complexity, find a real beer bar. Tucked adjacent/in to the Market, it's often empty, but the staff still seems busy. If you are looking to converse, they leave you alone, maybe too much. It just feels odd. A vibe that says "this is a gig" in a space that has the potential to be warm and inviting but feels cold and technical. Nice feel and good music. It was cozy and the atmosphere was fantastic. The service and bartender was great. I have to admit I was misled by the post on IG made by Sinbun. They had a sampler box posted saying stop down between 9p-11pm a few people asked about but wasn't on the late night menu? We're here now and it's 9:11 so unfortunately it never was it just appeared as such. We tried the buffalo popcorn chicken and I ordered a Cinnamon Toast Crunch potato chip contraption lol. We also had their drink menu choices of course! I had a Straw Hat which was basically an old fashion with a leaf inside and my hubby got a Fire Walker which he seemed to really enjoy! Came here on a Sunday morning as I was looking for my salt city coffee fix and realized their main location is closed on Sunday's, this location however is open 7 days a week. It's located in the new salt city market which is super cute and fun venue. The atmosphere here is very trendy and everything looks great. Located downtown, they have a really nice patio area with tables and chairs. We were able to snag a chair in the shade on the patio and enjoy our Sunday morning coffee. Extremely good coffee (probably the best in Syracuse area in my opinion.) The baked goods looked amazing although I did not indulge.
