Baklava ala mode. Fresh made in house
    Vu N.

Yes, the ratings are legit. You might question it when you pull up to it on Wednesday evening and park in the dimly lit lot. Yelp shows late hours but if you're going for food, I suggest calling ahead to make sure kitchen will be open when you arrive. Once you step inside the alternative bar lobby and seemingly simple dining room you'll still wonder if you made the right decision. You'll be greeted by the super friendly and attentive staff (ask for Frank if possible). You'll peruse the menu and find the offerings tempting and moderately priced. I suggest the spicy fried pickels to start. We had a party of 8 and EVERYONES dinner was delicious with generous portions. Light eaters might consider splitting a main. Two stars of the main courses were the chicken and alfredo pasta "one of the best I've ever had" from several in our party and the correctly prepared NY strip with your choice of sides. Tater tots, lemon butter pasta, waffle fries, heck all the sides were delicious. Turns out everything is homemade, and you can especially tell in the desserts. We sampled apple crumble ala mode and the baklava ala mode. Both were incredible and each was only $3.00! One disclaimer, the mens bathroom decor might be a bit overwhelming for one who isn't prepared. You'll see what I mean. It's harmless and fun. Eat here in full confidence. What an incredible local find. Again kudos to the staff and chef! Sorry for the lack of photos, we crushed the food as soon as it landed on the table.

Based off of the reviews, decided to stop in for a bite before my flight. I was welcomed by the bartender as soon as I came in and seated in the dining area. He was very friendly, and attentive, took my order right away. I ordered wings and spicy fried pickles. The wings came with blue cheese dressing carrots and celery, large portion of wings. The spicy fried pickles were tasty and were served with ranch dressing. Both arrived piping hot. My only complaint is that even though I was the only person there, my food took an extremely long time to arrive. The bartender expressed concern and checked on my order multiple times. Definitely don't go here if you're in a hurry.

Another outstanding brunch with a great group of people. Service is great, it seems all the servers work the floor. They are refreshing water and drinks, clearing dishes and just being friendly and helpful. Brunch comes with 2 drinks... Mimosa or Bloody Marys. The list of homemade food is extensive. Scrambled eggs, sausage, creme brulee french toast, blintzes, danish, salads, waffles, omelettes, lasagna and a table full of incredible desserts. My favorite today was the Expresso chocolate pot du creme and the butterscotch budino. (Creamy custard with butterscotch topping)

Tried to famous wolf's den Sunday brunch! They post what they are making weekly, so check it out before making your reservation. It's all prepared and ready to go as soon as you walk in, including your 2 brunch cocktails. It's clean, neat and organized. I loved the Crème Brûlée French toast & getting to try a few different salads, like the tabouli, and different desserts in a much more relaxed atmosphere. The servers were super kind - bonus, the bathroom had two open toilets which my sisters and I loved, LOL.

Another phenomenal meal here. I rated the brunch last year but this is my first time for dinner. It was a group of 6 of us. When we arrived early at 6:00 the dining room was empty but several people at the bar. I started with an old fashioned ordered at the bar. The bartender was extremely friendly and made a very good drink. Our bartender ended up being our server also (that is happening so much these days). He was very attentive but when the bar filled up later during our dinner he was stretched pretty thin. We ordered some appetizers to split: coconut shrimp, onion rings and potato skins. All were excellent. For my dinner I ordered the steak with baked potato and brussell sprouts. The steak was cooked perfectly and delicious the sides were also delicious. It was a good size steak and I took half home. The price was amazing at 19.00!!!! Two of us shared the baklava and it was very good. A couple at our table got the apple cobbler and they enjoyed it also. I have to say all the food prices were reasonable and everyone loved their food. I can't wait to go back and try something else for dinner.

Amazing Sunday brunch!!!! Cannot say enough good things...food tastes just as good (better even) than it looks. Service is fantastic and all of the servers are attentive, refilling drinks and taking away dirty plates. Brunch is a steal for $30 and includes two drinks per person (mimosa, Bloody Mary, or a peach Bellini on the particular Sunday we went). Will absolutely be back...run don't walk here!!

    Brunch with lemon champagne drink

I first heard about this place several years ago at a Yelp event from a couple who raves about it. Procrastination then COVID and more procrastination as it is Sunday after all, finally I made it! Warm and cozy ambiance diner style tables and chairs with 5 star cuisine. Dress up or wear your jeans, you can do you and feel comfortable. Something for everyone young to old. Cuisine is 5 star no exaggeration! I almost want to not review and keep this diamond in the rough to myself, but alas i am kind and so will share. Every week the 3 chefs choose a theme for the menu and put it together. Read on Facebook usually late week for the Sunday brunch menu. The week before we went it was Polish and our week was French. The fresh salads (yes plural), bar had Caesar, fresh fruit all of which was sweet as if in season and we know that is not the case right now in CNY. I love tabouli but this made from scratch beats anything I've ever had, there were others tempting me but I had to get in to the main brunch items and leave room for the desserts I spotted in the other table looking like they just came out of a French pastry shoppe. Ok fluffy eggs, crispy bacon, hand made sausage patties, crème brûlée crepes ( mouth melting), cherry cheese blintzes, stuffed waffles I know not with what because I saw the rare roast being carved and off I went! So tender juicy and flavorful it was. I never made it to the waffle and omelette cook to order station but that's a good excuse to return. So desserts oh my! The lemon tart with fresh blueberries was epic. I can say it rivals my favorite key lime pie in the Keys but then the waitress told us they made that the week before so now I have to keep an eye on the menu for that is sufficient reason to do brunch again. The hot apple crisp was tart but sweet and only missing a dollop of vanilla ice cream. Shall I return? Let me count the reasons.... Oh and before I forget we chose for our 2 included cocktails each, the special, which was a lemon and champagne refreshing drink that paired well with the entire meal.

Went to Wolf's Den for dinner last night. Had the fish dinner!

The food was fantastic! The service impeccable. I had the fish dinner, a friend got the Strip Steak and said it was perfect. Another got the blackened chicken Alfredo and the portion size was unbelievable. And lastly the other got the chicken caprese sandwich and said it was great. We ordered chicken wings and loaded fries as appetizers and all I can say is they were great!

What a hidden gem! I was looking for great local food near my hotel (the awesome Embassy Suites Destiny USA, Syracuse) and this popped up less than a mile away. Wolf's Den happens to be a fun, quaint gay friendly bar with a deliciously diverse dinner menu. At first glance on here and FB it appears they only offer a sought after neighborhood brunch option, but don't be fooled! There's a 3, dare I say 4-star chef/sous duo back there making magic on a plate. I'm just a work traveler so passed on a bunch of delicious regular, extensive menu options and went for one of the neon lit board 'specials' - NY Strip. I subbed one of several side/veggie options (super yummy homemade mac n chz) for the baked potato since I got the freshly scooped potato skins as an app. It also came with perfectly (yes, perfectly) cooked broccoli. The steak was cooked to order, mid-rare as requested, and contained very little gristle. Yummy! The drinks are strong and inexpensive. The crowd is chill and friendly and the music and decor give a nice vibe. Oh, and I got talked into 2 different to-go homemade delicious desserts. The owner is super friendly and has had the place for over a decade. Support this place, people! Newsflash...they allow str8 people too!!

Take their menu, full of fusion into dishes like their garbage plate and flatbreads that feel unique in this area and still fit the expectation of the originals. Then there is the occasional misfire, like the vindaloo cheesesteak that looks like some premade microwaved slices on a bad roll. This has been pretty good, but if you find something like the cheesesteak, try something else. That's the weird part, for a place with excellent service, an amazing selection of beers, and an experience which places it well above other Destiny locations like Bullfinch and other generic options in the new expansion (it should always be a bad sign for a site when Cheesecake Factory is in the short list of better options to eat at like Karma and the wildly overrated Bullfinch); it needs to have a solid menu top to bottom, don't make us find out what things are crap. It's tough enough to handle the noise in there even when it isn't busy. Overall, really good spot, but a few changes to remove the dead matter will make this the only option in Destiny worth anything. ANYTHING. I booked a reservation for 5:15pm as we had an appt at the theatre but we were running a little late due to weather and arrived around 5:35. I did call ahead to let the restaurant know and they were fine. We arrived and were promptly seated. The restaurant was quite busy. Our server greeted us and was lovely. We put our drink order in and then apps and food a bit later. We expressly told the server that our show was at 7:30 and her response was "good to know!". Then things went sideways. The drinks were very late to the table but the server apologized. They were rather tasty though and she convinced me to try a new Roku gin which I did! Good choice! The mozzarella app came promptly, it was tasty though pretty common. Then...we waited...and waited..and waited. 20min- 30min- 1 hour. We had been told that their new menu premiered today, and the server was also running around like a chicken with her head cut off. We later were told that they had cut a server earlier because they had not anticipated being as busy. Ooooops!! No bueno! The other issue was that our server, had tables all over the restaurant. Not in a specific area but like all over. Being that our show was at 7:30, at around 6:50 after speaking with the manager the food arrived. Here is the good part- The manager was AMAZING. She knew that the restaurant was in the wrong, she knew they were unprepared and she took action. She along with our server got the food to us with copious apologies and she made it right. I will leave that there- SHE MADE IT RIGHT. My brother was in the restaurant business for many years and explained where the failures happened - a new menu and lack of staff and why the mixture was not a good combination when unprepared. I asked if the owner happened to be in the restaurant at the same time and I was told yes, but that they were in a meeting discussing sauces. Lord have mercy! That bothered me, considering that there were problems in the dining room and the owner was nowhere to be found, but at the end of the day, the manager and our server really rose to the occasion, took care of the issue, apologized profusely, and we left feeling as though we were taken care of even though we had to shove our food down our faces in order to get to the theatre. Will we go back? Yes, of course - we will give them another chance but more over the owner needs to recognize that there was a problem that likely there will continue to be a problem unless they learn from the mistakes with his or her management team so that these things do not continue to happen. One thing our server did say to us is "we really enjoy and appreciate the feedback that we get so that we can pass that along in the hopes that management and ownership will listen to us, and these things won't happen again; she was embarrassed. We told her not to be. We tipped her highly because we felt that this was not her fault at all; that this was the fault of ownership and management not properly juggling all of the balls in the air to make a smooth evening for everyone. As we left we noticed that the restaurant was even more jam packed than when we arrived- I do hope that things got a bit smoother!
