We heard this place was a long wait but tried it anyways. It's designed beautifully. It feels sorta out of place w the modern details in Skaneateles but having a water view w seating for coffee could be really nice here. Unfortunately they had one barista working at 10 am on a Sunday and it took about 40 minutes to get a late. And there was maybe a line of 3 people. I hope the ownership tries to figure out a staffing solution because I wouldn't do that wait for coffee again. Giving this 3 stars because the late was okay and ambiance was cool....they just need to staff better. read more

New Year, new coffee house! Located in the heart of Skaneatles this establishment offers great promise. Smoothe, suttle music in the background and modern decor fill the mid sized room. The service is quick. The written menu only offers tea selections at this time but espresso options are verbally offered. The food menu only offers bagels at this time but they do offer ice cream. Seating ranges from bar top to four tables to couch seating which overlooks Skaneateles lake. There are also benches along the entrance hallway is you wish to watch the passerby sidewalk traffic. This offers a good alternative to notoriously busier bakeries. A quaint startup that i plan to revisit! read more

I really wanted to like this place. I've been there twice. The first time I had no issues. The second time I was disappointed. The only menu is printed and placed on the counter right next to where you order. Very inconvenient! I had thought that was temporary the first time, but I guess not. I ordered an iced drink. The ice cubes were melted together and I couldn't get my straw into the drink without removing a big chunk of ice cubes first! The person I was with just wanted a regular hot cup of coffee. They were told that the coffee was old and almost gone! They passed. I wouldn't go back. The candy/coffee shop up the street is much better with better service and a more varied menu (and they always have fresh coffee ready to go!) They aren't open as late, but I'd rather go without than come back here. I've never had the ice cream, but the flavors are written on the glass with marker and half of them were rubbed off and illegible. Just go to Doug's for ice cream! read more

Location is beautiful service is terrible. The two girls behind the counter were extremely slow and seemed like they didn't know what they were doing. There were no menus anywhere other than right at the cash register which people were standing at so you didn't have any idea what they served. Their ice cream case was empty with buckets that had nothing left in them very unimpressed. read more

Absolutely unacceptable experience. We came in as a group of six, simply to check out the menu since some of us love coffee. While we were looking, one person in our group briefly used the restroom--there was no signage anywhere indicating it wasn't for public use. Instead of addressing the situation politely, the owner confronted us in a rude and confrontational way, saying we couldn't use the bathroom without buying something. When I calmly checked for a sign (since policies like that should be clearly posted), she actually laughed and mocked me, which was incredibly unprofessional. She then claimed she "just printed" a sign but hadn't put it up yet--which is not the customer's responsibility. To make matters worse, when one of us felt uncomfortable and tried to make a purchase anyway, the owner said they didn't even have what she wanted to order. The entire interaction felt hostile, disorganized, and poorly managed. That said, the location itself is beautiful--right by Skaneateles Lake--with a great view, and the interior is modern and inviting. It's unfortunate that the service didn't match the setting. Customer service matters just as much as the product, and this was a complete failure on both ends. I would not recommend this place to anyone based on how we were treated. read more

The coffee is very tasty! I tried their ice cream too which is made local and delicious too! The ambiance of the cafe is really something else with the lighting, interior styling, cool couches in the back and view of the lake. Employees here from my experiences have been very friendly and helpful. Definitely a hidden gem I wouldn't sleep on! read more

Phenomenal spot that unexpectedly lands the balance of tradition-steeped town with the flourishes and breathability of Scandinavian architecture. The views and the espresso are similarly eye-popping, and the proprietor is a kind and knowledgeable fixture in the community. I felt as comfortable needling her about cold weather wear (newly-transplanted Floridian) as I did blindly ordering my coffee...which she was sipping. The setting overlooking SKANEATELES lake was wonderful. My friend enjoyed her coffee w/ flavored syrup. I was not impressed with the latte I was served. It was served in a regular coffee cup not wide mouth mug with a very small amount of flat steamed milk on top. I thought the coffee was strong and bitter. I would totally recommend The other shops in town that offer lattes. Though they only serve coffees in to go cups the coffee is smoother and the lattes milk is foamed well. read more
