Generally speaking, I enjoy the vibes in this cute little coffee shop. Maybe it's my appreciation for the plants placed all around, maybe it's the fun of having a piano near the window... I don't know. I appreciate that it feels relaxed though. My friend and I each ordered honey lavender lattes (which aren't large at all), while my friend ordered a berry muffin and I got a bacon, egg, and cheese breakfast sandwich. Those four items together + tip (20%) came to $30.10... which was far too expensive for lattes that lacked in flavor, a rather small breakfast sandwich, and a muffin that was more "meh" in comparison to something my friend or I could have just picked up from Wegmans up the road. In terms of service, it was just... lacking? Nobody was rude or anything, but they weren't warm or inviting either. For what I'd typically consider to be a nice little neighborhood coffee shop, nobody working there seemed engaged or mindful of the "community" aspect of the service experience. Coffee was good, although service was a little rough. We had ordered 3 coffees and one sandwich. We had gotten our two coffees and our sandwich. After not receiving the third coffee I had told the woman working. She had said the ticket didn't print, which I understand things happen. But then she proceeded to make 4 other drinks before getting to ours, and was on her phone showing text messages to the other woman working. There was a tiny bit of hot sauce but the potatoes seemed like they were microwaved and it just overall did not have a very good flavor. I came here with my partner and we ordered two Iced lattes one caramel and one brown sugar cardamom. This total came to 14$ and the drinks aren't very large. They also don't taste very good. I thought mine was caramel and his lacked almost all flavor all together. We came home and added more to our drinks to improve the taste but agreed we wouldn't return. The service was mid at best they weren't rude but also weren't very warm either especially the barista. The ambiance was nice atleast. This is a rather nice little surprise that was about a minute from our Airbnb. The inside is pretty large with all sorts of plants, tables a few leather couches a chessboard and more. They offer different breakfast sandwiches and different coffee drinks you can get hot or iced. We went on a Monday granted it was a holiday but it was busy. My friend and I both got the breakfast sandwich and I added bacon to mine. It's made with XL English Muffins toasted (made by Amazing Grains it's in Fairport, NY) it has egg, goat cheese and sprouts it was really tasty and hit the spot. I got a seasonal coffee drink and my friend an iced coffee. They also have outdoor seating which was lovely on this early summer morning. Staff is friendly but slightly harried as they are busy. If your in the area give them a whirl. It's in a girly residential area they have minimal parking. read more

Was in the area and craving a breakfast sandwich, this place came up, so I dropped in. Tons of snobby, hipster vibes going on in here, looks of staring. Changed my mind to their breakfast burrito once I took a look at the menu - almost everyone in here was eating breakfast sandwiches instead. It wasn't great, and it wasn't horrendous either. The scrambled eggs were cubed for some reason, which felt strange. The home fries weren't home fries at all, they were more like very mushy strings - maybe Geneva has a different idea of what home fries are supposed to be? They added minimal bacon and cheddar. The chipotle sauce was yummy, but also very sparse. Idk what hot sauce they had on the condiment counter, but it was great and saved this burrito. Also to note, I was turned on to adding honey and lavender as a sweetener for my matcha latte by the barista (bless her soul) + oat milk for creamy goodness. This is a wonderful little coffee shop in Geneva. We don't have many options for coffee in the area other than Dunkin', so it's extremely nice to have a good quality cafe to get you caffeine fix. On top of that, every time we've been here, the ladies behind the counter have been very friendly and helpful toward me and my wife. I've even purchased beans from them to make my coffee at home and it's always come out excellent. Along with their great drinks, the food they make is quite good as well. I'm a huge fan of their goat cheese and honey toast and my wife absolutely loves their breakfast sandwich. I love the goat cheese toast's light, cream texture with that signature tang, which pairs perfectly with the sweetness and unique flavor profile of honey. The walnuts on top are an excellent addition for a soft crunch texture, as well. It's a nice, light way to start my day. With all that being said, the only things keeping this from being a 5-star review are the lack of regular coffee options and the fact they seem to run out of ingredients quite often. This place does a lot of espresso and tea based drinks, which are awesome, but I wish they offered more options than just drip coffee. If they offered a French press or a pour-over option, I'd be way more inclined to come here in the mornings. They seem to have access to quality beans, I just wish they offered more than just drip coffee to express the nuances in their flavor. I use their beans to do a French press in the morning at home and I love it, I'd like to see similar options when I go out. Then, when I order my food and drinks here, I always have to make sure to have a back up option for both because every time I've come here, they've been out of some component of what I initially want. Again, I haven't had a bad experience here, the food and drinks are fantastic, but there are some minor setbacks for this place that can be pretty easily fixed. Overall, it's my personal favorite coffee spot in Geneva and it's definitely worth checking out. read more

Unfortunately in the US a lot of places do not care enough about matching the grinding grad with the coffee machine - even when they have good quality coffee (beans). But they do it right here. Visited this coffee shop several times while visiting Geneva. While I was rooting for it, especially given the fact it's really the only one in town it fell pretty short. Beside the coffee being brewed and/or roasted to death and the pastry tasting like it'd been sitting out for several days the service was rough. The first time I'd stopped for two small cups of black coffee it took 15 minutes, which is not something I've experienced at the many coffee shops I've frequented. In an effort to give the place a fair shake, I went back for another small, black cup of coffee to go. This time things were looking up as I placed my order and the person who took it grabbed a cup and turned around to fulfill my order. Unfortunately, after trying three different coffee urns she turned and said they were out of coffee and it'd 10 minutes before more would be ready. That turned to more than 15 minutes before I was called up to get my coffee. The staff was friendly the whole time, but they just need to work through a better order process or something. read more

I was visiting the area during the vacation with my family, and found this coffee shop for an afternoon wake-up espresso, and it was delicious! I saw many mixed review about this place, and majorly the con is the understaffing situation. We came at around 1PM on a Tuesday so we had no problem with the waiting time. I can tell though, because there was only one kid working and there were customers walking in pretty frequently. I feel bad for him but his coffee was smooth and delicious! He was also very friendly and nice. The interior was nice and playful. The atmosphere was good. The parking was convenient. I wish this place well and improve their service condition. Among the three coffee houses in Geneva, Monaco's is the worst. They could learn much from the other two, namely, Grounded and Empire Coffee. Those 2 places are so far superior to Monaco's that I'll never be back. I had been wanting to check out this coffee shop for a minute now and finally got the time to do it today. So glad I did, the ambiance is very chill and relaxed with a boho/rustic/modern green feel to it. Lots of ample space to sit with your choice of seating. I absolutely adored my iced lavender honey latte. My mother came with me and had a maple latte and Omg like the best cup a joe I've had in a long time. Food is also available as is WiFi and a bathroom. Lots of books and mags to read and the staff was super friendly and helpful. This is for the Monaco's Bakery next to the Monaco's Coffee Shop in Geneva, NY. Yikes! Paid $8 for a small loaf of sourdough bread. Which is over twice the price of a better loaf from the last big grocer in Geneva. Paid $4 for a dinner roll...which is half the price of a whole loaf! That makes the Monaco rolls 5 times more expensive than the last big grocer in Geneva. And make no mistake...the bread from the big grocer is superb. I just don't get it. 'Bread is the staff of life...' yet here in Geneva bakeries like 'Monaco's' and the defunct 'Normal Bread' are pricing their bread out of the reach of 99% of the citizenry of Geneva. I can't figure out if they are battling the horrible property taxes of Geneva...or pandering to the over-wealthy students from HWS. A loaf of bread has about $0.25 worth of raw product in it (flour, water, salt, yeast). How can you justify an additional 32 times the material cost for each loaf? You can't. Monaco's is turning white privilege cachet into cold hard cash and leaving behind most of the resident citizenry. When told that the citizenry of Paris could not afford bread Marie Antoinette is purported to have said "Well, then, let them eat cake!" At Monaco's in Geneva....I can't afford the bread....so I likely can't afford the cake either. I will go to the the last big grocer left in Geneva instead. read more

The atmosphere was nice they had a little compost and had a large plant on the wall. All their flavors were homemade which I love. I got honey lavender latte it was just okay. As I watched my drink getting made the espresso machine was leaking more like spraying hot water out of it which was watering down espresso.
