I'm in town visiting from Philadelphia and was excited to try all of the local coffee shops out. my husband and i are vegan and we found this shop on our second day in town and i had a nice latte and he had a nice hot chocolate, the staff was super friendly and answered all of our questions without hesitation. my only gripe was that we ordered the avocado toast without the egg and the feta and we got two pieces of pretty bland bread with roasted tomatoes and micro-greens for about $11 a piece. i think it being such a small town, there should be at least one vegan item on the menu. the shop itself is spacious with plenty of seating and overall a good vibe, we ended up going to visit twice on our trip but it wouldn't be my first choice in the area. read more

The food was good too, but pricey for the portion size. They have gluten free bread available, as well as a chia pudding menu option for those with gluten allergies. Definitely a place to patronize if you like small business and good coffee. We were heading to Sonnenberg Gardens also in Canandaigua opening at 0930AM. So we had a little time. I grab a medium drip coffee and a breakfast sandwich ( bread, bacon and an egg). She grabs a latte and breakfast scone. It was a nice morning so we sat outside. Looking around is new apartments (townhouses ?). The coffee shop is new as well. I'm thinking new development... The food is ready disc vibrates and lights up and I pick up my coffee and breakfast sandwich. She already had her latte and scone. Coffee smells divine. The sandwich is hot so I'm waiting a few. After a bit it's tasty and good. Coffee is going down great, the scone is basically gone and latte ending to wash it down. A place to definitely try if you're local. As someone who reviews coffee establishments, this place was HIGHLY recommended to me on a visit to Rochester. My boyfriend and I recently tried out Working Class Coffee and loved the rustic vibe of the location as well as the choice in decor, music, and food. I have Celiac Disease so I was unable to try any of their food - but my boyfriend who is NOT celiac was able to try one of their breakfast sandwiches. Even upon returning home to Boston, he still thoroughly misses this breakfast sandwich and recommends it to friends who still live in Rochester, For coffee, I had a coconut latte with housemade syrups, which was incredible. My boyfriend got a mocha which he also enjoyed and rated a 7/10. I would rate my latte a 9/10. If you're in Canandaigua or Rochester, this place is worth a visit. I visited WCC today after an appt in downtown Canandaigua. I had read about them on social media and was curious about the location and menu. My timing was perfect as I was between the morning and lunchtime traffic, which allowed me to take in the space without too many people around, take my time reviewing the menu, and walk right up to the counter, order, and receive my food and coffee pretty quickly. The staff were friendly and engaging, with one person taking orders, one on the coffee machine and one in the kitchen. They seemed to be 'well oiled' and I had my coffee and food within 5 min of my order. The menu for 'eats' (food) is great, with a focus on local and seasonal. I was torn between the pumpkin toast and the avocado toast, both which sounded delicious. I went with the latter, which was a slice of sourdough toast of average thickness with mashed, fresh but unseasoned avocado, topped with lots of savories: black sesame seeds, sliced radishes, microgreens, pickled red onions and feta cheese. Leave off the feta and it's a satisfying vegan dish. I felt it was priced right at $8 and a nice portion. I also had a decaf coffee with pumpkin spice flavoring added and oat milk (had to get my sweater-weather, pumpkin-spice fix, even though it wasn't actually sweater weather today....). It was creamy and perfectly spicy. Another great value at $6 ($5 plus 50 cents for flavoring and 50 cents for alt milk). I appreciated that for eat-in customers, my coffee was served in a real coffee cup with saucer and my toast was on a tray. Minimal waste! While I was there I also observed a lot of folks just stopping in to grab to-go coffees and snacks. There's also a variety of WCC branded items for purchase including bags of coffee beans. All in all, I liked this coffee experience a lot more than the 'other' coffee shop in downtown Canandaigua, especially due to their great menu, and I will visit again. WCC is located in a kind of converted industrial plaza that is tucked into a residential neighborhood just north of downtown Canandaigua. As you enter the plaza their building is prominent and it's very easy to find, though you might have to wind through some side streets to get to them, since the entrance to Gorham Street off of Main Street is currently closed. The parking lot is plenty big with lots of spots including two handicapped accessible spots. Inside there is a long counter-top seating area that looks out to the parking lot through big windows that let in lots of light, along with several 4-seater high-top tables. There's also outside seating, weather permitting. (Today was around 70F but cloudy, and I opted to sit inside.) Restrooms are gender inclusive with communal sinks and plenty of supplies; it was around 11 am when I was there and the whole area was clean and tidy. read more
