Avocado toast and pumpkin spice oat milk latte
Jen P.

I visited WCC today after an appt in downtown Canandaigua. I had read about them on social media and was curious about the location and menu. My timing was perfect as I was between the morning and lunchtime traffic, which allowed me to take in the space without too many people around, take my time reviewing the menu, and walk right up to the counter, order, and receive my food and coffee pretty quickly. The staff were friendly and engaging, with one person taking orders, one on the coffee machine and one in the kitchen. They seemed to be 'well oiled' and I had my coffee and food within 5 min of my order. The menu for 'eats' (food) is great, with a focus on local and seasonal. I was torn between the pumpkin toast and the avocado toast, both which sounded delicious. I went with the latter, which was a slice of sourdough toast of average thickness with mashed, fresh but unseasoned avocado, topped with lots of savories: black sesame seeds, sliced radishes, microgreens, pickled red onions and feta cheese. Leave off the feta and it's a satisfying vegan dish. I felt it was priced right at $8 and a nice portion. I also had a decaf coffee with pumpkin spice flavoring added and oat milk (had to get my sweater-weather, pumpkin-spice fix, even though it wasn't actually sweater weather today....). It was creamy and perfectly spicy. Another great value at $6 ($5 plus 50 cents for flavoring and 50 cents for alt milk). I appreciated that for eat-in customers, my coffee was served in a real coffee cup with saucer and my toast was on a tray. Minimal waste! While I was there I also observed a lot of folks just stopping in to grab to-go coffees and snacks. There's also a variety of WCC branded items for purchase including bags of coffee beans. All in all, I liked this coffee experience a lot more than the 'other' coffee shop in downtown Canandaigua, especially due to their great menu, and I will visit again. WCC is located in a kind of converted industrial plaza that is tucked into a residential neighborhood just north of downtown Canandaigua. As you enter the plaza their building is prominent and it's very easy to find, though you might have to wind through some side streets to get to them, since the entrance to Gorham Street off of Main Street is currently closed. The parking lot is plenty big with lots of spots including two handicapped accessible spots. Inside there is a long counter-top seating area that looks out to the parking lot through big windows that let in lots of light, along with several 4-seater high-top tables. There's also outside seating, weather permitting. (Today was around 70F but cloudy, and I opted to sit inside.) Restrooms are gender inclusive with communal sinks and plenty of supplies; it was around 11 am when I was there and the whole area was clean and tidy.

Cute shop in Canandaigua for your coffee needs. Quick stop in on a lovely Friday summer morning. Staff was friendly and she was proud of the design she made in my husband's latte. Very refreshing to see someone so enthusiastic about their work. Good coffee as well.

Lovely addition to the neighborhood - food is fantastic, hearty, healthy options and exciting alternative for a morning routine if you're local to the area. I chose the oat-milk chia seed breakfast bowl. My sister-in-law and I found this place while visiting from Pittsburgh, PA and enjoyed both of our choices. Neighbors are friendly too! Saved for when we make a trip back ‍‍

Birthday cake latte and Crunchwrap

My husband and I visit coffee shops all over, wherever we visit and this is by far one of the top ones we've been too! Instantly a favorite. We went the first day we arrived in Canandaguia and went back every day after. The barista gave us her personal recommendations which exceeded our expectations! Can't sing this places praises enough, if you're in the area it's a must visit! A very welcoming atmosphere that had seating for someone dropping in for a cup, sitting down to eat, dogs, and infants a like!

Wow wow wow! It's about freaking time! Lol this legit has to be the best coffee house I have been to in the finger lakes thus far. The food is 5 stars worthy delicious, fresh and visually appealing. Props to the chef! The drinks are delicious crisp and quench your thirst for sure. Full of flavor and depth. The space is super cute and has lots of room to sit indoors or outdoors. I had the Chai-Der drink (chai and apple cider mixed) soooo good! And the lox toast, legit the best I've ever had! Prices are fair and the baristas are super friendly and knowledgeable about their products. Great music too! I will absolutely be coming here again! Just wish it was in a more noticeable area, as I only found it because I typed in coffee near me on Yelp.

there was supposed to be bacon on my sandwich so we went back inside and asked where the bacon was they said "we do things different around here the bacon is inside of the egg" there was no bacon instead of bacon they put sasauge on the bread not "cut up and put inside the egg" then he said do you really want me to take a big bite and prove it to you. the whole place was also smoky when we came back outside we smelt like the place.

Service was fast and easy and love the ambiance with the backdrop of a restored old factory complex. Great Nitro Coffee!

My mom and my brother had an appointment in downtown Canandaigua when I was home visiting a couple…read moreweeks ago. My mom said "walk around downtown and take some pics" I did that. as I was doing that I came across this little bakery. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE LOVE LOVE local bakeries vs buying the processed crap at the stores or buying things at Wegmans, Albertsons, etc bakeries where they no longer bake at the actual stores anymore. Thats just sad. Anyway, I walked in here. The lady was nice. She seemed a little sketched out though for some reason, but super kick back at the same time if that makes sense? lol Anyway, told her I was just checking things out and I would let her know if I needed anything. She came back out from the front and asked again if I needed anything. So, I got a blueberry muffin. I LOVE blueberry muffins, but I never buy them anymore bc I no longer eat most things like that. It's a sad, lonely choice I made....to cut out all the tasty treats in the world lol NOT THIS DAY THO!! haha! I could not resist. The looked incredible and for $2 a piece being as big as they were...I had to. UNBELIEVABLY delicious. I was so happy I got it. Was so tempted to get a few other things, but Ive been so good with my diet...I had to refrain from doing so and just accept my boring, no sugar treats, kind of life lol I absolutely recommend this place. Prices are decent, the lady is nice, but she should realize that not all of us are bad :) The place itself is super cute, very homey, lots to look at and HEY! its a local bakery! You should always support places like this...over Wegmans and certainly over....ugh Walmart! Thanks for reading, Yelpers! Cheers!

I am a cake connoisseur. I test cakes from many bakeries and compare the taste and texture…read more I am not as concerned with decoration or presentation, although an attractive cake is nice to have. It is very unfortunate that the old ethnic bakeries have gone away and replaced primarily by grocery stores. It appears that the children of the old ethnic bakeries saw how hard their parents worked and decided to become doctors and lawyers and such. The delicious cakes of our long ago memories are gone. I visit a lot of new bakeries trying to relive my past memories. It appears that most of these new bakeries utilize standard cake mixes available from a variety of sources. They may add an ingredient of two to try to make it taste more homemade, but they all fail my taste and texture tests. Most are light and fluffy cake with average icing. They do look good however, but that is not what I look for. I look for taste and texture. I was very pleasantly surprised with our recent visit to Sweet Solutions on Main Street in Canandaigua. I ordered two large cakes for a corporate event. One was Vanilla/Vanilla and the other was Triple Chocolate. WOW ! Both cakes were exceptional in both taste and texture. They looked great too. Both cakes were devoured by the 45 people in attendance. Sweet Solutions mentioned that each cake would serve about 40 people. They must serve small slices. Our guests had two and three helpings apiece. Everyone raved on how great the cakes were. I personally had three pieces (large by the way) and would have had more the next day if any were available. The visit to Sweet Solutions took me back to the 60's and 70's when Shreck's and Vecchi's bakeries in Canandaigua when I was a child. Both were exceptional bakeries that were local institutions. There are a few bakeries in Rochester, NY who make some nice cakes but they are not as good as Sweet Solutions in Canandaigua, NY. My wife is ordering another today ! I am overjoyed to finally find a bakery that can meet my high standards. I can honestly say that Sweet Solutions is the best in the greater Rochester area. Thanks for reading.
