My favorite coffee shop in Canandaigua. Drinks and food are always on point. Just tried a smoothie for the first time. I got the blueberry pomegranate. Really liked it and it's vegan but you can add yogurt. Also they have really good sugar cookies there for the holidays right now. Service is also always quick and good.

When I walked in here I go to the barista "so where's the Dalai Lama?" He goes "we keep him in the back, always with a clean cup of Joe to help him meditate!" Hahahahhhha this place is so bomb. They have a fantastic chill vibe with wicked good coffee and eats and matcha latte and et Al! U gotta stop in and try the wicked good coffee! The Mexican medium dark roast is sooooooo smooth! Git er done!

I've been back a couple times now. Always consistent. Mostly updating with some photos so others can see what it's like inside, or if they're on the fence about bringing their work with them.

We found this little shop driving home one day from Penn Yan and already found a way to make it back. Very large, relaxed space with tables in the front that can accommodate large and small groups as well as couches and comfy seating toward the back. There are some local things for sale as well as their own roasted beans for sale toward the front. Our first stop in we only stayed a few minutes as we got there shortly before closing, but out second visit we had some time to sit and enjoy our coffees. Definitely a comfortable setting if you want to stay a while, the WiFi was good, as was the coffee. Looking forward to bringing some beans home next time as they roast them in house.

This was a pretty nice coffee shop we stopped at while on our way to the DMV. Compared to Geneva, where you basically have just a Dunkin, this was a really nice way to start the day. Unfortunately, the staff wasn't the friendliest and the small shop was quite loud. Despite those hang ups, the coffee my wife and I had, along with our sandwiches, were really tasty. I would definitely say this is more of a grab and go spot than a nice place to sit down. It's kind of cramped and uncomfortable inside, but don't let that hold you back from good coffee. This place is definitely worth checking out. They're a little slow, but good things come to those who wait!

Good service ran by folks who clearly love and have passion for their food. I ordered Jax, a bagel with egg, spinach, tomato and a balsamic glaze. I also got their iced blueberry lavender? tea. Jax exceeded my expectations. I was looking for something lighter without heavy ingredients including onions, bacon, greasy cheeses, smoldering flavors and thus Jax seemed the way to go. I was hesitant at first because balsamic vinegar on a bagel seemed a little ambitious to me. When it came out hot, it was excellent. The egg was perfect cook to where still runny in the middle but the texture and flavor paired nicely with the otherwise tangy vinegrette. It's not too sharp of a vinegar which is nice since that would have overpowered this combo- some spinach and that juicy tomato slab on top really softened the vinegar on the bagel. While this was delicious hot, unfortunately it didn't hold it's flavor later on when I went to eat the other half. it's a large portion btw, it's 2 halves with 2 eggs - could have been one each for a friend. The bagel was now too sweet which then brought out the balsamic's after sweet taste that I had been wary about earlier. this made this dish a little harder to eat. Still good, but now the sweetness from the bagel overpowered what the tomato had rescued earlier. The blueberry tea was also a good quencher on this hot day- highly recommend. Overall a wonderful place, but I made the mistake of not eating both portions immediately. I will be back in the future however, as the vibes were good here and there is good potential for their other dishes.

This coffee shop is a gem on Main Street in Canandaigua, NY. The employees have GREAT personalities! Friendly, happy, and engaging! That set the tone immediately. The atmosphere is chill and very relaxed. The vanilla latte was smooth and delicious- not syrupy sweet, well balanced. The food options are limited unfortunately. I would come here often if I lived here!! UPDATE! My mistake- noticed some had some very good looking and fresh breakfast sandwiches and other sweets. Did not try, but looked great !!

Super high ceilings, local art on the walls, comfortable seats, and friendly folks behind the counter. While I don't drink coffee, I was purchasing nine pounds of coffee (it's a stocking stuffer in our family) for other people. It seems like Union Place typically has an excellent and varied selection of different beans, but it was too close to Christmas and they were running low on it all. My friend came out from behind the counter, and helped my navigate what was still available. I got a lot of beans, they ground them for me for the right filters (while I sat in a very comfortable chair), and I was out of there. If you actually drink coffee, I bet you'll like this place even better than I do.

I did not get any on this visit but they have some really fun flavor options! The best part of my visit was the excellent service. The staff is super friendly and welcoming. After sitting for a while, you could tell that many of the customers (both for the cafe and store) were regulars. During my visit there was a local artist showcase and event fliers for some of the local community organizations. Would recommend for anyone looking for a high quality, local Roastery.

I decided I wanted instead to give my money to a local business and have a more interesting coffee experience this morning. So, I went off the Thruway 15 minutes out of my way to try FLCR. As a resident of the Finger Lakes, I'd had their coffee before but it never really made an impression.. So, I was looking forward to the experience. I walked in and there is country music blasting... Not a hipster vibe.:) There was a crowd of old-timers in a corner having their morning klatch, which was great. I love an inviting neighborhood coffee shop, even though this is in a strip mall. I could read the sign that lists roasts available today but the names don't say much about the product, so I asked the counter person what they have available, hoping it'd be obvious that I'm not familiar with their product. She answered by stepping aside so I could read the signs on the coffee pumps. Great! I asked what their lighter blend is. She replied "Lake Blend". So I ordered that. it wasn't until I got myself back on the Thruway that I took my first sip. I have never had a weaker cup of coffee outside of a diner or a hospital situation. Even (especially) a light blend, when brewed properly, should have a flavorful profile and provide a full coffee experience. That should be the expectation at a coffee roaster, right? If I had taken a sip before I pulled out, I think I would've brought it back and requested another flavor. The service was quite impersonal and businesslike and it was obvious the counter person wasn't really clued in. Do ya even drink this stuff? The one saving grace was the medium 16oz cup only cost $1.95. I might have paid twice that for a really good cup, though. I had hoped to add a scone or muffin to my coffee order but the selection was limited, didn't look appetizing, wrapped in plastic film--never a good sign. I will say that the experience is particularly disappointing to me especially because they do roast and wholesale coffee. Why bother roasting when the coffee is made so weak so that the flavor is imperceptible?
