This coffee shop is a new find. It was a house renovated into a coffee shop. The lady at the counter told me their syrups are home made and mochas are the best. I got a coconut mocha which I thought was great! They also have other options like raspberry or cherry mocha. However, the price point is a bit steep. They have a second floor which I believe have books. I didn't venture into yet. I'll be back to explore more.

This place is super cozy--like a warm hug in a mug. I'd heard great things and had to see for myself. Tired of big chains like Tim Hortons and Starbucks, I love finding local gems. Bonus: they've got books. My vanilla-caramel cold brew was smooth, flavorful, and way better than the usual chain stuff. This place is super cozy--like a warm hug in a mug. I love a good coffee shop bookstore combo! There's WiFi, food, and drinks. I ordered the seasonal chaider which tasted more like cider than chai, but I find that's typical for most chaiders. It did take some time to get my drink, but I think I came in at the end of a rush and I had time to wait. There's also seating upstairs along with their book selection. There was a lot next door, but I was unsure if it was for Bookeater or the business next door so I just did street parking

Very cute cafe with great drinks and nice study areas! The first floor is the cafe level, which is a nice place to meet a friend for a coffee. The second floor houses the books. The staircase leading to the second floor is somewhat narrow and not very accessible since this is located in a house. Wheelchair users would need to request books from staff. There are a few separate rooms that are perfect for studying, as well as some comfy chairs in reading areas. The second floor is much quieter than the first floor as well. Bookshelves are arranged by genre and located in the different rooms, and there is a selection of bargain books. Highly recommend checking out this bookstore-coffee shop, particularly if you need a nice place to study!

Such a great find, one of the better cafes and bookstores in the neighborhood. Impressively diverse menu and options for such a small space, with no difficulty ordering with customizations. Lots of side spaces to sit and work, read, be. Clientele was respectful of the space. Strong curation of books and well-thought out displays. A solid used book room. Will return to try more menu items. The biscuit came with the cutest tiny ketchup cup of a couple pieces of fresh fruit, delicious.

The workers are nice, the space is lovely. There were fresh flowers in vases at each table. The food and drink were served quickly and everything was delicious!

Great atmosphere, drinks, and gluten free/dairy free food options! The upstairs bookstore has a comfortable library feel, great for doing homework or reading a book.

Delicious bread, fresh food. The atmosphere is top-tier. My simple order of food though took close to a half hour. The cappuccino was scalding hot. I might consider going again during off hours.

As others have…read morementioned, this bookstore smells like smoke, and of course old books since this is a used bookstore. As someone with severe asthma, I just couldn't stay in this store for very long. Just not my cup of tea, but might be yours. They had a very large selection of a wide range of used books, and it was very well organized and pretty tidy compared to other used bookstores. This was one of my stops on the Rochester Book Crawl, so I might not have otherwise explored this shop. The bookseller was very nice and helpful.

They sell really quality literature on a variety of topics, especially music (fitting, given the nearby Eastman School of Music), and also including religion, fiction, technology and more. There's definitely a theme of rare, old, obscure and intriguing books on all subjects - the main running theme seems to be whatever is genuinely interesting, by any definition. Also, although there's no seating, I do appreciate that the place is not overly stuffed to the brim with books and doesn't feel overwhelming, but rather, pleasantly full of options to peruse and explore. The owner is always very nice; I (at least) once had a great conversation with her. I haven't bought a lot here, but I once purchased a beautiful book of Saul Steinberg's artwork for a relatively good price. It's well worth browsing the shelves here, maybe preceded or followed by a visit to Java's Café on Gibbs. Buy something if you can, and support a local treasure!

They have a great range in book selection, lots of unique bookish merch, and place emphasis on inclusivity. They have mandatory masking on Wednesdays, which I think is a great idea and is a super inclusive way to make book browsing safer. Prices are fair, and the booksellers are helpful and nice. I've had a good time during both of my visits and definitely plan to come back!

The friendly readers behind the counter are going to happily discuss your purchases and help you find what you're looking for. I will be back, much to my wallet's chagrin,
