My girlfriend got the Brown Sugar Shaken Espresso - which she thought was fantastic, and I got the cold brew (black) which was not too strong and was very tasty. The drinks even came in 20oz cups for caffeine lovers. To eat, we got a breakfast sandwich and a breakfast burrito which were both offered with a variety of add ons. It was just ok. It was very busy and because you order at the counter and then sit down and wait for your food, it wasn't clear how long it would take for a take out order . We just ordered breakfast sandwiches (2) so we didn't think it would be long. As we waited, atleast 20 min, we barely saw any tables getting food so we inquired on how long it would be for the order and we were told they weren't sure?!!!! unlike I usually do, I got 2 coffees to fuel me for a 6 hour drive back to Boston today. I got the Cadbury latte and the crème brûlée latte, both iced with almond milk. For the Cadbury latte, they were out of toasted marshmallow syrup so we decided to substitute with shortbread syrup (which was still very good). I enjoyed this latte a lot but less than the crème brûlée latte which was SO good. The crème brûlée latte has toasted sugar in it which gives it almost a little bit of a smoky caramelized flavor. It was amazing and definitely worth trying both seasonal flavors. They also had a selection of packaged gluten free snacks so I picked up a rice krispy treat. I didn't order any food but I did overhear one of the baristas on the phone listing off all the gluten free options they have (and let me tell you, that gf English muffin breakfast sandwich sounded so good). A small, cute cafe in the heart of Victor on Main Street. Watch out though, you might miss it if you aren't looking! Nestled in the bottom of the building makes it a little tricky to find it at first but once you do you won't be disappointed! There were two staff members working who were by far the nicest service staff members I have come in contact with for some time. Friendly, excellent service and they know how to cook! My partner had the breakfast bowl and said it was the best he's had! Full of fresh vegetables and a very large serving for only $6.50! Our first trip to Busy Bean will probably be our last trip too. There was a sign on the door saying that we should be prepared to wait 30 minutes for our food because they make everything to order. Most restaurants also do that but okay. It didn't appear to be overly busy. After 52 minutes of trying to ration out coffee, our breakfast finally arrived. My waffle was literally the worst waffle I have ever had. Very very dense, not light or airy or crispy like it should be. And it had a strange odor like plastic or like the waffle iron hadn't been used in months. The home fries were not quite cooked through. I heard a woman apologize to a table and say that she just got there and the cook was new, his second day. Maybe she should have come in earlier? I don't know. It was like 11 at this point and they close at 1:30. I was trying to have some grace but the restaurant was so smoky / hazy, it made the wait that much worse. The place is attractive and very clean, and the food is great (so far I've had a croissant breakfast sandwich and a waffle with fresh blueberries). Unlike some other places where you order at the counter, they offer one free coffee refill--an important feature for us diner crawlers. Only downside, from an elderly lady's perspective, is the background music that requires loud talking in their cavernous space. Wayyyyy over rated. The staff was VERY friendly and it's a nice place to go to have a meeting or to bring kids. Loved the atmosphere. If the actual food and coffee are not a top priority, this is a cozy place to go. To me, a 4.5 star rating is given for homemade food or something amazing. We didn't get that here. The light roast coffee was really bold and bitter tasting. Luckily, they had a nice selection of flavored creamers to add yourself. The Belgian waffle was thin and dry, nothing special other than fresh strawberries. The blueberry muffin tasted like it came from a package. The biscuits were also average. They do have a big menu and lunch offerings. Maybe something else would have been better? In all, not worth going out of your way to find this. You go get your own silverware, etc. just like fast food. The thing that got me though is that I asked if there were refills on coffee and was told yes. I guess I didn't ask if there was a charge. So when we asked for a refill, she said yes for $.54. We had already paid with a credit card and gave a 25% tip which they collect when you order.
