Best food I've had since moving here in three years! Eric had the Salmon eggs benedict and I had the Korean chicken and waffle. The coffee is ground by the cup and local coffee company in Canandaigua. Mmmmm... It was an hour drive but worth every mile! The owner was fantastic! Great energy and very friendly. This was one of the spots at the top of my list to try in Naples when visiting for the grape fest. I had heard that this was an iconic cafe with some cool history and great food. They had a different setup for the festival so I ordered at their order window and took the pastry to go. I got the grape poptart, which was delicious. They had music out front and a large open space where some people were hanging out. The entire town was very busy for the festival, but we were able to find parking near the cafe. This was a cool experience, but I'd love to visit again when the Naples grape festival isn't happening. read more

This charming spot was a real treat! I picked this place for my birthday breakfast and was not disappointed. The old school house is of course delightful and the inside is nicely decorated. They have inside and outdoor seating as well as a bar area. You order at the counter and then they bring the food out to you whenever it's ready. I ordered the sunshine French toast and it was superb. I've never had anything like it and enjoyed every bite. It was very delicious and filling. Finally got to have breakfast here in my last stop home. There was a line of 8 other people waiting for them to open the door on a Sunday. After having their Korean chicken and waffles, I understand why. Not a huge diner-sized list of breakfast options, but the carefully crafted dishes they offer are hard to decide amongst. They do also have some freshly baked goods to offer and coffee, lattes, and more to offer for drinking. What is diner-sized are the portions. My waffles were huge and the amount of chicken was insane. I was stuffed when I walked out, but I just could not let those tasty bits go to waste. It is a fairly small, but unique place. There are a few small tables and a nice, compact bar. It was a nice day out, so quite a few groups chose to bring their food outside on the picnic tables. It makes my heart so happy to see what they have done to this place. I cannot wait to come back! read more

Stopped in for a quick lunch while passing through and I am so happy we did! I have celiac and got the Smoked Salmon Benedict on gluten free bread. It was divine! I also got a latte and the top shelf of their sweets were GF so you already know I HAD to try one. I got the Raspberrry Almond Oat and I'll be dreaming about it tonight. Stopped in after kayaking this morning and glad we did! We each had the breakfast sandwich. The egg was cooked to perfection in the roll toasted nicely. The bacon was the star of the show with its candied sweetness. For drinks we have a bottled lemonade, coffee and chai. The drinks were tasty. We stopped here on a pretty last minute decision when we determined the route by it was more efficient. What great fortune to have stumbled upon the Old School Cafe. First impressions - a cute breakfast / brunch place in a repurposed old school house. Great aura, great curb appeal, and the owner was very pleasant and eager to please, but what about the rest? Well the cover accurately reflected the book, as the coffee was good, and the food was great! I had the korean chicken and waffles (delicious!), and our table also had pretty rave reviews about the breakfast sandwich, cinnamon bun and grain bowl. Everyone present left full, happy, and eager to return. Some other comments and details - Very easy to find, plenty of parking (it's just past the parallel-parking areas on the street, giving it enough space for it's own parking lot. There's seating both inside and outside, and the menu is small, creative, adaptable and suitable for different tastes. There's also a full bar if you're feeling brunchy. This place is just what it sounds like. Cute little restaurant in an old school house. When you first walk in there is a counter to place your order. In addition to some pastries the menu is written on chalkboards on the walls. Once you order you can sit outside at some tables out front or there are some in the back of the building. There is also a small bar in the back where you can order alcoholic drinks. The food was amazing and it is obviously a hit with the locals as we didn't go until almost noon on Sunday and it was very busy. The waffle was the lightest I have ever had and it was so good. I don't normally get waffles as they are so dense but this one was amazing. We also got a breakfast sandwich with pepper sauce which I wasn't sure about but it was also amazing. This place is just fantastic and deserves ALL-STAR status from exterior/interior atmosphere, menu options, food quality, uniqueness of food options, cleanliness, service and really anything else you would consider important. Old schoolhouse renovated but definitely maintains the character of its history. Beautiful wood interior- warm and cozy. They sit in a small town park like area so outside options when weather is nice. Delicious breakfast and brunch options and exceptional coffee/chai/espresso drinks. They had some amazing looking baked goods as well.... I eyed some incredible looking cinnamon rolls but did not get one. The food and drinks were tasty, the service was kind but the guy who takes the orders seemed to be more focused on presenting charisma rather than actually taking a moment to listen. Rushed through the ordering and didn't ask about the milk we wanted and rushed away to make the drinks, it was busy and when we asked a food runner if we could get our chai without lactose due to intolerance, we were told that he wanted customers to directly approach him about mishaps with the drinks, which is something we could have done but this seems like a very strange rule with a possible negative intention behind it. read more

We pulled in for a quick bite on a cold afternoon not knowing what to expect. The space is remarkable, a natural wood conversion into a cozy intimate space which even includes a bar. The menu short but everything on it is superior, reflecting the attention to detail that pervades the whole establishment. What a delightful find! We were leaving Hammondsport on our way back to Rochester and tried to find a breakfast place and stumbled across the Old School Cafe! I really don't have any "cons" other than it's a "cozy" spot, so don't expect endless seating. Very small town and mom and pop! Now to all the "pros!" The design is very unique in that it is a an old school house! Completely redone of course, but the essence and spirit is still there! Thoughtfully decorated with a classroom in mind, you feel like you're in science class. It's totally cool! The owners also seem earth conscious and use very nice biodegradable plates and flatware. The presentation of the food is beautiful. You will really take a moment to visually savor before eating. Everting tasted delicious. It took everything for my husband and son to NOT order doubles! If you're looking for a place for a great breakfast/brunch in Naples, look no further than the Old School Cafe! It is located in a renovated schoolhouse and has ample parking. When you enter the cafe, the menu is written in chalkboard on the left. They have some great selections including waffles, a unique take on chicken and waffles with Korean bbq chicken that looked divine, egg sandwiches, grain bowl, salmon egg Benedict, and many other options along with a delightful French toast stuffed with lemon curd! All this plus great coffee as well! I went to the counter and placed my order. I was handed my coffee and advised by the nicest man to find a table (inside or outside (when the weather is nice)) or sit at the bar (yes you can get mimosas, bloody Marys, or whatever else may strike your fancy. My stuffed French toast was delivered to my table promptly and it was so good I could barely speak, savoring the sour bite of the creamy lemon curd against the sweet, real maple syrup. Yum! This was my first visit to Old School Cafe. Immediately upon entering, I received a warm welcome, and a quick explanation of the menus posted on the walls. After ordering at the counter, I took a seat and waited for my order to come up at the window in the seating area. I had the Green Goddess Wrap which is their (delicious) take on a chicken salad wrap. The people seated around me were mostly locals. One couple told me that they really enjoyed their breakfast sandwich and salmon toast. I would add that the coffee is also excellent (a big plus anywhere, but especially here where they also have a variety of baked goods available.) I plan to come back to sample more of the menu.
