Country style eggs.

I stopped here Saturday morning with my wife. The diner is very clean and has ample parking. It was not too busy and quiet inside. The sign said seat yourself so we sat at a table near the window. We were greeted by a friendly waitress and had hot coffee delivered promptly. My wife ordered the potato pancakes that were made with real potato (not mix). I ordered the country style eggs. The food was delicious and perfect amount. The prices are very reasonable. Very enjoyable breakfast.

Egg-cited to start the day sunny side up! Today's breakfast choice brought us to The Village Cafe in Arkport, NY. It's a quiet town in upstate New York, with a hustling and bustling restaurant that provides excellent service and delicious hearty food for both the locals and the tired travelers that pass through. Their breakfast menu consisted of items that you can find most anywhere, such as: Pancakes, Omelettes, Eggs Benedict, Oat Meal & Cereals, as-well-as Sausage Gravy over Biscuits. Today we ordered the Country Fried Steak, Corned beef Hash, and the Country Classic. I loved the country fried steak. Sometimes the steak is overcooked, or over-battered, or seasoned way too salty. The cooks at the Village Cafe definitely knew what they were doing... and my eggs were cooked to the perfect sunny-side consistency. The corned beef hash was tasty and cooked to my liking, but it definitely not made from scratch. Finally the country classic which was Scrambled eggs, mixed together with onions and home fries, and served with Toast - while it looked good, it had to be returned due to a mix up in the order. I will say that even through the order was messed up (multiple times), the waitresses were super kind and apologetic; and even offered to take care of the bill which was above an beyond in my book. I decently suggest that if you're in the area or just passing through, stop in and enjoy the food from the Village Cafe. Yum! The Village Cafe 7937 State Route 36, Arkport, NY 14807

Stopped in for breakfast after moving back to Hornell after 44 years of being away from the town I grew up in. Delicious food, we will have to make this a regular place to dine in.

Fried home-fries, scrambled eggs, cheese & topped with sausage gravy. I added some hot sauce! English muffin instead of toast.

Great service, great food, clean environment & bathrooms. Breakfast quesadilla is not pictured, but it was yummy also.

We stopped in for lunch today and we're treated to some great homemade foods! The kielbasa hoagie with pepper and onions on a fresh toasted roll was amazing! I tried the homemade potato salad and it was fresh and delicious. My wife had homemade applesauce and tuna noodle casserole and she loved them. This restaurant is clean and a great value. Special shout out to Mike the owner.

The food was great, and the restrooms included changing tables in both the men's and women's room. This was great for changing my daughters diaper. The restrooms and the entire restaurant were extremely clean. The service was so welcoming and friendly. We loved the homey touches throughout the restaurant.

We've driven by many times at night in route to visit our sons at their colleges. We decided today was the day to try it out, since it was open. We walked in and we greeted and told to sit wherever we wanted. I like that because We sat where we felt comfortable. Someone came over and took our drink order. Those came out quickly and then someone took our food order. We got the Turkey club, a bacon cheeseburger and the Reuben. We practically inhaled our food. It was better than we expected. Yes, a basic order, but very good and we were pleasantly surprised. The restaurant was very clean. Service was attentive and friendly, food was good and priced as expected. We will totally go back again.

Any way that macaroni ended up here covered in the same cheese as my home fries is not good.

You know you're close when your phone goes into SOS mode and you fully commit to pancakes & maple syrup as a survival plan! I learned something new on this visit. We were initially shown to a table, but since only 3 of our 4 party members had arrived, we were asked to return to the lobby until everyone was present. The server assured us that once our fourth arrived, we'd be seated with the next available table, and that's exactly what happened. It gave us a few extra moments to watch pancakes methodically and continuously be poured, flipped and served from the griddle. We had the chance to sit in the original dining room, which features beautiful hand-painted murals. The booth cushions are well worn from years of use, adding to the charm and nostalgia of the space. The room itself felt bright, warm, and inviting. Service from Michelle was prompt and friendly, even with the steady pace of the restaurant. We ordered three AYCE pancake and sausage plates, coffees, a kids' pancake, and a maple milkshake. Pro tip: skip sugar and add maple syrup to your coffee. Trust me! Whether you're visiting with a few family members or bringing a large group, the Maple Tree Inn is a place full of memories, tradition, and perfectly maple-infused breakfasts. Remember to bring along cash or a check since digital payment is not an option. After this experience, I wish I chose to give my business to some other place even if it meant going hungry for a little longer. The menu prices here are reasonable - that is their only positive. Service is extremely slow and they are way understaffed. There was the lone unpleasant old man who was very slow in taking the orders. Probably hard of hearing too. I asked for Onion Rings which was on their menu and he retorted that they don't serve Onion Drinks. When I pointed the item on the menu he yelled out "You want Onion REEEEEEEENGS!" Water was never offered. I have never seen that happen in the USA in any sit-down restaurant before. We just had to wait to finish eating and leave and drink water from the bottles in our car. Omelettes and eggs tasted very ordinary. Belgian waffle was expected to be crunchy but it came soft and soggy. Seriously how difficult is it to make a waffle? The batter comes out of a box and you just throw it in the waffle maker. How can they make a mess out of that? There were only a total of 4 other people in the restaurant and our (simple) order took about 45 minutes to arrive. We felt very unwelcome with the whole experience.
