Even upon returning home to Boston, he still thoroughly misses this breakfast sandwich and recommends it to friends who still live in Rochester, For coffee, I had a coconut latte with housemade syrups, which was incredible. The drink was decent, but a bit too sweet with an artificially sweetened syrupy taste which superior coffee places generally do not have in their drinks. While I'd rate the drink a 3.5/5 at best and probably wouldn't return, don't mind rounding up for the friendly service from this small business.

She came back out from the front and asked again if I needed anything. So, I got a blueberry muffin. I LOVE blueberry muffins, but I never buy them anymore bc I no longer eat most things like that. It is very unfortunate that the old ethnic bakeries have gone away and replaced primarily by grocery stores. It appears that the children of the old ethnic bakeries saw how hard their parents worked and decided to become doctors and lawyers and such. The delicious cakes of our long ago memories are gone. I visit a lot of new bakeries trying to relive my past memories. It appears that most of these new bakeries utilize standard cake mixes available from a variety of sources. They may add an ingredient of two to try to make it taste more homemade, but they all fail my taste and texture tests. Most are light and fluffy cake with average icing. They do look good however, but that is not what I look for. I look for taste and texture. I was very pleasantly surprised with our recent visit to Sweet Solutions on Main Street in Canandaigua. I ordered two large cakes for a corporate event. One was Vanilla/Vanilla and the other was Triple Chocolate. WOW ! Both cakes were exceptional in both taste and texture. They looked great too. Both cakes were devoured by the 45 people in attendance. Sweet Solutions mentioned that each cake would serve about 40 people. They must serve small slices. Our guests had two and three helpings apiece. Everyone raved on how great the cakes were. I personally had three pieces (large by the way) and would have had more the next day if any were available. The visit to Sweet Solutions took me back to the 60's and 70's when Shreck's and Vecchi's bakeries in Canandaigua when I was a child. Both were exceptional bakeries that were local institutions. There are a few bakeries in Rochester, NY who make some nice cakes but they are not as good as Sweet Solutions in Canandaigua, NY. My wife is ordering another today ! I said "hey this isn't right, I ordered..." and she just goes "that'll be 1.50" and i said "no you gave me the wrong order" and she was like "okay thatll be 1.5". I didn't realize you could just do that, but I guess you get what you get and you don't throw a fit even if its not what you ordered. She looked exhausted giving me the fakest smile and I just told her I wasn't gonna argue with her but she did mess up my order. She needs to be managed better or fix her attitude, or else she should just be fired because that customer service was horrendous.
