I love coming here and getting my Lavender Latte! It's so good! Sometimes there is a long line, but it always moves fast. I've tried a few of their breakfast items and they were all delicious! read more

I've been to Monaco's many times, and I want to like it so badly. It's the cutest coffee shop, I love the decor, and they always have fun and interesting menu options (today it was a honey lavender latte and a charcoal latte). I also really hate leaving bad Yelp reviews... but to echo a lot of reviews here, the service here is SO BAD. When I say bad service, I don't mean that I came here once and someone was "rude" to me... the service here is consistently horrible. I almost feel bad complaining because it's not the employees faults at all. Today, on a Monday morning at 9am, they had ONE employee working. This kid was taking orders, making drinks, and making food. Alone. This is a common theme as they usually have one poor employee working at all times. It took me about 10 minutes to get my latte... but it literally took 48 minutes for me to get my breakfast sandwich. I was catching up with a friend so I didn't really mind too much, but it was absolutely insane. This poor kid that was working CALLED HIS FRIEND who wasn't on the schedule today to come in and help him out. I couldn't even complain about the 48 minute wait or ask for my money back because I felt so bad for this kid and I honestly think if I asked him for anything else that he would have dropped dead on the spot from stress. Their employees don't have amazing customer service skills, but I can't really blame them for being stressed and not apologizing for my wait when they're running around like chickens with their heads cut off. There is literally never an owner/manager around. It's chaos and I've never seen any restaurant run like this in my life. I really wish they had someone around that I could complain to instead of posting this on a public forum, yet here we are. I will say my charcoal latte was really good... but honestly unless you want to wait an ungodly amount of time and get an overpriced drink, I would really skip this place. read more

Monaco's Coffee - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Geneva, New York

Best coffee in Geneva. Great atmosphere. Excellent baked goods made on the premises. A definite must. We stop here every day when we are in town read more

Cool little coffee shop. Be patient standing in a long line for good coffee and breakfast bites. Excellent service for us by a great person. We got Americano, Latte, Bagle/CreamCheese, and breakfast bagle. Very good stop in the morning. read more

Was excited to visit this coffee shop! Love the atmosphere. The baristas were very friendly. I ordered an iced mocha and a berry scone. The scone tasted like it may have been in the case a few days. The coffee was never made and I had to ask the (very friendly!) barista about it. They made it promptly. It is forgettable. I left hungry and unsatisfied. I will not return. read more

I am a grump in the morning and need my coffee. The barrister was upbeat and singing Creedence Clearwater Revival. Nice start to the day. (I've been thinking all day... Was she even born when CCR first szng that song.) read more

Great baked goods included the croissants and blueberry muffin. The cappuccino is fine too. The coffee shop is near the Hobart campus and in a nice space. It is probably the best coffee shop in Geneva. read more

Coffee is really good. But they are under staffed or they have left a new person alone when they shouldn't have. It took 25 min to get a latte to go. Four customers were also complaining about how long it took to get a coffee. The young man working only does one order at a time. He unfortunately can not multi task. I believe he should be retrained. The coffee is really good but dont come here So disappointed. Update: Came back. Two on staff. Still took 15 minutes to get a coffee. Only two orders in front of me. The college aged staff prefers talking and being sully over finishing orders in a timely manner. Never returning. read more

Disappointing. Americano tasted weak and watery. Teenagers who work there don't seem to put any effort into serving a top notch product, which it should be at those prices. Honestly I've had better at Dunkin. read more

It's good to see a business thriving as well as Monaco's Coffee. The coffee is delicious and the danish are perfect. Give them a try!

You really want to like this place. Their coffee blend is really good and their pastries are good as well. But at 8:30AM on a Monday - you can't only have one kid working. Ordered cortados, got two cappuccinos that were cold because the barista was rushed. It's not his fault - he's by himself. Where are the owners or managers? The place is cute but also messy. It feels neglected. The bathroom was not recently cleaned. read more

Definitely the best coffee option in town! Got the cold brew and it was easily one of the best I've had. Otherwise so many different options you can get. read more

This place is reliably terrific year after year during our one week stay in the area. The merch is adorable and high quality. The decor and plants are pretty and peaceful. Coffee etc is excellent. Service is friendly, accurate, prompt and the place is always well staffed. Super clean. Nice bathroom. read more

I got an iced chai tea and it was really good... better than Starbucks good. Really clean, and neat. The decorations are nice and the employees were nice too! I wish I lived in this town because it would become my regular! read more

Really enjoyed this place when it first opened. The last few times I got my coffee, it tasted awful. It was burnt and didn't taste right. Then I watched the woman that made my coffee use windex and a dirty rag to clean the metal cup she was going to make my coffee in! I also ordered a breakfast sandwich that had goat cheese on it. The cheese tasted sour, it was spoiled. I think a couple employees need to find another job bc they are ruining this place. read more

Both harvest cookie and iced latte were superb. Guy barista is good. Girl is not. If you are into espresso drinks go for a guy read more

After staying in Geneva for a year, I think this is probably the best coffee shop in town. Opus has nice pizza and the orange juice, but this place is more suitable for coffee and work. They make my favorite cortado in the area. And their decor is my apartment goal! read more

Honey lavender latte was delish, and they are me a honey lavender chai (off menu) that was even better. Would definitely return.

Always delicious coffee & the baristas are cool! Get the Lavender honey latte with oat milk if you haven't They make their own syrups too!

Great coffee and atmosphere!! The brown sugar latte and vanilla lattes were a hit! The owner, Josh, could not have been nicer and more accommodating. He made us feel at home as we are traveling from afar! read more

During the last 3 weeks (Aug/Sept '22), I visited this quaint coffee shop and casual eatery twice. I found the exorbitantly expensive food & drinks to be delicious and fresh. The website indicates that the market was established in 1917 (with the current coffee shop in place since 2017) and it seems as though this joint hasn't been cleaned in over 100 years. My first visit was quick, getting an order to-go. While waiting in line, I first noticed the accumulation of dust on every visible surface. Then I began to notice countless crumbs, discarded wrappers and other miscellaneous detritus scattered over the floor. I didn't make much of it, thinking that maybe they were just a bit behind on the housekeeping (who among us isn't periodically guilty of that). A few weeks later, my partner decided to pick up food and drinks there again. This time, our wait was longer and I wandered around as they prepped our order; I love looking at a well-appointed restaurant and this place has some truly appealing art, some incredibly cool wall-hangings and some amazingly unique planters. It is a very soulful, warm & stylishly-hip dining area. Unfortunately around every corner I kept seeing dust, dirt and debris. Just a nasty build-up of crap that accumulates over time with abject neglect (this includes those carcasses of flys in the window sills). It was disconcerting. Was the food prep area this unkept I wondered? We got our order, which was $30 for a breakfast sandwich, 2 slices of gourmet toast, a small cafe drink and a bottle of tea from their cooler; again, pricey for what we had in hand. That annoyance was minor compared to how badly in need of a deep cleaning this place requires. Monaco's Coffee is probably a 5-star place for some of its customers; I'm just not that into dining in a place where it's clear there's such little regard for cleanliness. I'm hopeful that this review is a wake-up call to management; I encourage them to take the time necessary to clean up their establishment. read more

Very happy to find it. Mellow coffee but with a lot of flavor. Reasonable price. Server with enthusiasm and humor. And though we took coffee and tea to go, it looks like a great place to hang out, too. read more

Coffee has good flavor. The anticipation was building for me while waiting for it to cool as the milk was insanely hot. Barista wasn't really pleasant, but I assume most college-age baristas fit a moody mold. I was happy to get a proper cortado while visiting my mom who lives in the area. I hope to come again. read more

LOVE this place! #yum. Best coffee in Geneva. Their baked goods are great too. Woohoo

Best coffee in the fingerlakes!! So many options for coffee flavors, breakfast, drinks, etc. The iced coffee with maple was so delicious and I'm going to keep going the rest of my time here!!! read more

Nice little cafe; college hang out. The coffee (latte) was hot & had a full flavor. They offer a few baked goods & selection of bottled drinks. I'd come back again . My only issue was the heat/cooling vent dumps out right above a couch. Staff turned on a/c & froze me off the couch to a table. Why do these places do that? I know they are hot behind the counter but customers are freezing. read more

Love this coffee shop. I'm a coffee lover so this place was perfect. The latte is on point staff is nice as well. Breakfast burrito was sooo good! read more

Omg so totally rude. Ordered a red eye and wasn't even warm. Asked to have another and literally the 'barista' rolled her eyes and shrugged her shoulders. Not one word just a look of disgust. Just because you are young doesn't give you the right to be so openly ride to people. By the time you are in college haven't you gotten over "all old people are stupid phase?" I hope the owner reads this. read more

I ordered a hot cocoa and it tasted like watered down steamed milk. Did they forget to put chocolate in it? I also took a peek at the avocado toast the couple next to me ordered...it did not look appetizing at all and def not worth the price they charged...I would've expected that quality from a cafeteria. Note that one order of avocado toast was thrown away almost entirely so the guest who ordered it must've felt the same way. What a shame because the menu did look very promising. I gave two stars for the benefit of the doubt...maybe it was an off day for the employee who made the food and drink. read more

We ordered a scone, a croissant, and breakfast sandwich on croissant. Went to pickup, they said wait in line, waited like a good boy. My turn, the order had been sitting on side the whole time and lm thinking cold! This was nearly the case, but worse, the croissants were under baked and mostly dough on the bottom which made sandwich oohey gooey and the plain croissant nearly inedible. The scone was mediocre at best. Come on guys, you can do better. We may or may not come back but we're old and not of the hipster crowd, maybe less is ok for them. read more

Cool vibe, loved the minimalistic decor. Excellent coffee and nice location on a quiet side street.

We had coffee at this shop this week, which was the site of the produce market my mom used when I was a child. In a town completely lacking in good quality coffee shops, this is a treat. The interior is perfectly suited for casual hanging out with ample space, and things to pass the time. Try their breakfast sandwich but the avocado toast is best- though I recommend adding a fried egg. Their food is understated and should be tried. Coffee is good, but food is better. read more

They have the loveliest staff and the best coffee in the area! I can't sing their praises enough :) go here if you're in the area !
