I am usually hesitant about writing a poor review however this contractor shows that he has a valid license on his marketing (# 1074066) and in fact it is suspended, that I didn't find out until we had an issue. My initial conversation with Erik was super friendly and nice, he helped us last minute tarp a roof of my dad's house, which my dad just passed away a few days prior. There was a roof leak and we needed to have the roof covered to stop the water intrusion. Erik was helpful and responsive prior and during the tarp and my husband and him spoke. We paid him $500 after he left the initial day. Unfortunately, when Erik was tarping the roof, he didn't use sand bags to hold the tarp down and the winds blew the tarps all over. Two days later I had reached back out to ask him if he would go back over to make sure the tarps were not blowing everywhere and he did go back. However instead of using sand bags, he used 2 x 4's and an UMBRELLA STAND to hold the tarps down, this did not work, instead the winds picked up the umbrella stand and smashed the roof tiles. We didn't know this happened until we arrived three days later and my husband got on the roof because the tarps were not in place and flying all over. I asked my husband to pull one of the tarps down because it was over a skylight and was whipping it and making an awful sound. That is when my husband discovered the broken tiles and the umbrella stand on the roof with the wood attached. We then texted and called Erik and he initially responded with a text saying "wow". My husband stated he was going to call him the next day, since it was after 5pm. My husband called him and text Erik, but he has since not returned our messages or calls. Today I reached out in one last ditch effort to see how we could rectify the situation and he has not called or texted back. It's a shame because we all make mistakes, however to not even try to fix the situation and refuse to respond is very unprofessional. It's a bummer to have to deal with this in addition to losing my dad within 10 days. read more

I contact Cabral Construction to bid a job for me. Erik was very polite & professional. His crew came out to finish my bathroom my husband started to remodel. My husband hurt his back was unable to finish our project. Erik and his crew was professional, and got the job done. They left everyday with a clean space, nothing left laying around. Took the guy to court lost because I forgot my receipts at home and judge did not want to go through my discovery. The owner Erik denied all wrong doing claimed he didn't know me. Then goes to court saying I pretended to be his employee. I didn't he charged me $7000 for counter tops he paid $1004.79 had it been quality work I would have been okay let's just say I had two different widths on my counter tops. The list of subpar cutting corners is lengthy. Only posting a few pics to make the point and blacking out his personal info out of respect. Seek services elsewhere and don't be fooled by the "good and honest" front. It's been 3.5yrs didn't post because people change but looks like he is still doing the same thing. Zero stars! Do better! Looks like he does great work however he has horrible customer service. I called and asked for an appointment for an estimate on a few projects around the house. He (Eric) scheduled for that same evening, after not hearing from him I send him a message and he said he was busy with another job and asked to meet the following day. I stayed home the next day waiting all morning and he didn't call or show. I left a text message and no response. A few hours later I called and left a message and still no response. Again looks like he does some great work and was really looking forward to having them complete the projects around my house. I had a long list of projects from the past few years. Erik and his crew coordinated together to ensure each crew member was effective. I like good communication, punctuality and quality. Our home is so much nicer with repair, replacement, without shopping. His suggestions for our final decision were very good. The quality of purchased items very good. Example- Master Tub Hot/cold handles were stripped. I needed that replacement but I expected to live with a rubber stopper and no cover on the overflow! He found the right items and installed each! Cabral construction did an amazing job not once but twice! I had them install Ac/Heat split system which was a huge game changer in our house we love it!
