We needed help the day before Christmas Eve, but the earliest Arturo could send someone was 8:00 am Christmas Eve. That was still good enough. It was a quick job, installing a bidet for a toilet. (My mother-in-law needed some help after spending the month in rehab for a broken hip. She was due to return home that morning.) Esequiel was the plumber that showed up at the residence at 7:50 am. He inspected the job, checked for leaks, and didn't leave until he was satisfied that it was working properly. He even sat on the bidet with his work pants on to make sure it was working! I hired Lightning Plumbing for installing a recirculation pump. Since then we have had weird showering experience. We started with water with proper temperature. But a few minutes later it turns colder. We then noticed the cold water faucet became warm when not using for a while. Recently I finally find time to figure it out by hiring another contractor after going through all possibilities. It was found out that the pump was installed upside down. So instead of pulling water from the pipe to the tank, it pulls hot water from the tank and push it to the pipe. Therefore, the hot water was pushed to the pipe to keep it warm. This causes the hot water entering the cold water pipe with its higher pressure. When I contacted the Lightning plumbing to fix the problem, they declined to correct it. I find that they are active in soliciting business but not taking responsibility for their actions. It is a disappointing experience with them. read more

Horrible experience! Art installed new Rheem water heater Dec 2021. Water heater is still fairly new and is now leaking and has flooded water heater closet causing damage to closet door, floor and drywall. I spoke to Art and initially he stated he didn't install or work with Rheem brand, however my receipt clearly states Rheem water heater installation. Then his response was "there's really nothing I can help you with" what an outrageous and pathetic response from a business owner. Regret is an understatement. Arturo, I appreciate your response but I feel that you are missing the point. Yes, we did allow you to cut a hole in our master bedroom wall but you should not have even suggested it in the first place. We didn't know the risks or consequences of cutting that hole (releasing asbestos into our indoor air, needing to patch the hole, etc.) because we're not the experts or professionals. You are. That's why we hired you. This is why I am typing this review. I also am more upset with your response. I feel that not only do you show a lack of concern or understanding for our plight but it seems to me that you are gloating at our pain and suffering. As I already stated in my original review, I did not sleep well AT ALL after patching the hole. Patching the hole does not restore the original look and condition of the wall. Now my wife is experiencing pain and discomfort in her chest and throat, which I strongly suspect to be from the asbestos released from cutting the hole in the wall. I do not want others to make the same mistake that we did. The other plumber that we hired, the one who actually completed the repair, also questioned why Arturo cut the hole in the master bedroom wall. Please hire an experienced, knowledgeable, and licensed plumber who knows where to cut, how to detect the leak, and how to properly access and repair it. Just to note, it is illegal for an unlicensed contractor to perform a job exceeding $500 but your final quote ($1,100) and even your initial quote ($550) exceeded those limits. read more

Art and his team was the first to respond and he gave me the cheapest quote out of the 5 different plumbing companies! He quoted me $2,600 for the job while others quoted me $7,000, $6,000, $5,500 and $$3,650. As soon as I informed the other companies that he quoted me a lot less everybody else dropped their prices which made me suspicious of them trying to rip me off. So I went with lightning plumbing!
