SOME PLUMMERS JUST WANNA RIP YOU OFF Called up this plumming company back in mid June this year to get an automatic water shutoff valve installed on my main water line. You know, one of those fancy wireless valves that homeowners insurance companies want their customer's to install on their homes? Yeah, one of those. Anyways, I called and spoke to a man, who didn't give his name, but he was nice enough to get all the info and give a time and date for a plummer to come out, inspect the work requested, give an estimate, and go from there. The day of the appointment, no one showed up at the date and time discussed. I called and spoke to someone named Alma. She was nice enough to have a plummer come on out that same afternoon. In the afternoon, some guy named Vincent shows up. We spoke about the worked I wanted to have completed. The job was simple. I was supplying all the parts. The copper pipe, fittings, the soldier and flux... Oh, and the fancy water shutoff valve that already cost me $550. For a "simple install" Vincent quoted me $1550!! The $1550 was for labor alone!Ridiculous! Ha! Moreover, Vincent's recommended install of the automatic shutoff valve would have replaced the physical brass ball valve functioning as my current main water shutoff, and be placed before the water pressure regulator! Ha! Some plummer this guy was! What a quack! The instructions of the auto-shut off valve directs installers to install the valve AFTER the water pressure regulator, and to be installed as a backup water emergency shut off (NOT to replace or be used as the home's main water shut off). I was happy to have educated myself before calling these useless people to my home - not knowing beforehand that they were useless crooks to begin with, of course. I kindly escorted them off my property instead of accepting their far fetched estimate. I was not about to allow them to rip me off. Beware of these plummers from Anthony's Plumming. Some just want to rip you off and create future plumming problems for homeowners... just so their victims can call them back for a solution to the problems they create under the false premise that they put in honest and professional work to help a customer out. Water company of Fontana did not do their job had two different employees come out and could not identify the problem sadly and gave my wife false information of the problem . Anthony's plumbing came out and informed me there was no pressure gage problem or did not need replacement and he fixed the problem by checking valves and such and said no charge . I asked him to replace the old existing valves as I'm sure were installed when house was built so asked him to please change things out and now I don't gotta worry about future problems . We had an overflow with no obvious cause and Anthony's Plumbing was able to come out soonest and with no fee for assessing the situation. The plumber they sent was polite and respectful, and he did help us figure out exactly what our issue was, which we appreciated. I'm giving them 5 stars because I do believe the quality, courtesy, and timeliness was there, but my one sticking point was price. They were a touch expensive for what ultimately resulted in us having our drain snaked. The quote they provided for a more long-term solution to our problem was also a bit high, but to be fair plumbing is expensive so I won't take away any stars for that. To get to the point. Marcus came out, was super helpful, communicative, knowledgeable, etc. Ended up putting a new toilet, plumbing, fittings, etc. Project was a little technical due to new parts vs old parts compatibility, but he handled it in a clean and efficient way. We recently contacted Anthony's plumbing because we had an outside faucet that was leaking and couldn't be turned off. We had seen good reviews and recommendations on the Nextdoor app. The plumber wasn't able to come out until the 2nd day after we contacted them, but we decided to wait. When the plumber arrived he was friendly, professional and efficient. It took about 20 -30 min to repair & replace our faucet. Everything seems to have gone well with the repair, however, we were very shocked at the price! Had it not been an urgent problem, we would have shopped around to save some $$. Anthony's plumbing came out to investigate our guest bathroom toilet. Since we had bought our brand new home we have had issues with this toilet, not flushing properly. Our home warranty sent out three separate plumbing companies to investigate. Not one of them could figure out what was wrong with it causing our home warranty to drop our claim until we purchased a new toilet, claiming that it was a faulty toilet. Anthony's Plumbing came out to investigate. After multiple attempts to snake the drains it was discovered that a broken flange cover that was hidden deep within the pipe was the cause of the constant slow flow of our flushing toilet. Anthony's Plumbing has done it again! I had a clogged kitchen sink. It ended up there was grease built up! Yuck! As a man of a household and to save a few bucks I attempted to unclog the drain. The conclusion: 1. I have brought up more cr*p that was stuck in the drain 2. Made the clogging more worse 3. Wasted money on buying a 'snake' that almost ruined the pipes 4. Wife screaming behind my hindsight 5. Mess everywhere. I dropped everything and called Anthony's for SOS! Thankfully they knew the urgency and was kind enought to squeeze me between their tight schedules. Tony and Titus came, worked their magic and walla! They don't stand behind there work...they give you a warranty that doesn't mean anything....I called them back after 11 months and 2 weeks for the same problem they fixed... under warranty lol ya right they told me that they couldn't come out for at least 2 weeks that they are busy so when they finally came out they told me the warranty was only for one year and I needed to pay again. I told them I called you guys back two weeks ago and you guys scheduled this two weeks later.he said well it's out of warranty do I have to pay or he's not doing it....so had to call a different company there was not way I'm paying this company again and in one year be back in tat same boat with the cheap parts they use.. I has some plumbing issues with my tub and toilet being backed up, I called in the morning around 10am and not even an hour later Anthony (business owner) pulled up. Before coming his wife, who answered the call, explained that they would give us a quote for free and once they came and looked at the issue would give us options on what they could do. The owner came and stated it would be a 2-person job and about 20 minutes later his son and another employee pulled up. They gave us 3 options and we chose what was best for us. My kitchen sink broke where it meets the pipe on Thanksgiving weekend. I decided to just get a new sink as the old one was very chipped and banged up. I got 10 quotes and Anthony's tied for cheapest. However, he was significantly more responsive and nicer. He came on short notice, was prompt and friendly.
