Called to get my pilot lit. Was told over the phone I need a new unit without anyone coming to look. Got yelled at and hung up on. Same service as NexGen. They don't want to help you just sell you a unit. How can you tell me my unit is unfixable without looking. Absolutely ridiculous. Got my pilot to light 20 min later. We are new homeowners and recently our hot water stopped working. We called this number because it had somewhat of good reviews. We called and as soon as the lady answers the phone she seemed irritated. We explain the problem and she is asking us for the sticker with a start and a barcode. We go to the water heater and inform her that there is no sticker with a star or barcode that we can see. She proceeds to ask us for the name of the heater and we give it to her. She stops and says "LG is not a name." so then I tell her that that's the sticker and name that it has. She then says that we need to give her the right information or she can't help. First of all we are trying to seek help. We were not giving her attitude or anything. She should be more professional and not talk to us like we are stupid. We ended up calling another company and all they asked us what the year of the house was and if we knew how old the heater was. After that they just told us that they would send someone right away to inspect it. It should have been that simple with her as well. There was no need for her to speak to us in that manner. I understand we all have bad days but if she did not want to help us she could have she told us and we would have gone somewhere else. I hope they are able to retrain that employee or monitor the call so they can see how rude she was. read more

On 1/9/2019 we had a new water heater installed by Bradley from Water Heaters Only. We just recently purchased a home and the water heater that came with our house looked like it was installed by Mickey Mouse himself. They obviously did not understand basic principles of plumbing let alone ensuring everything was mounted "to code". I was really concerned with the platform it sat on because it just seemed sketchy. I spoke to David over the phone to schedule the install and he assured me that everything would be looked at and his technician would do whatever they could to make sure everything would be done properly. When Bradley arrived he was nice and very patient with me as I pointed everything out to him that I didn't like about the existing water heater. When we finished looking over everything he said "Don't worry, I'll make it look pretty." After a couple of hours he called us into the garage to show us our new water heater. It was one of the most professional looking water heater installs I have ever seen. He not only installed the new tank but redid all the other hardware from scratch. He put in a new water valve, gas valve, gas hose, earthquake straps, flex pipes and copper overflow drain pipe. Last but not least he even reinforced the top of the platform using some plywood. The icing on the cake? Their price was $350 less than the estimate I got the day before from some big plumbing company which did not include all of the new hardware or anything regarding the platform. Really disappointed. I contacted them on Yelp to request a quote for service call hours and prices because they had good reviews here. I sent an inquiry with a description that my pilot light was out and needed a service call. Nobody ever got back to me. 24 hours is a long time to go with only ice cold shower water. The only reason this business is getting two stars is because of the excellent work by The repairman/installer they sent out. He was outstanding. When I called I merely explained that my water heater stopped working and the pilot light won't light. It was apparent the person on the phone wanted to sell me a new $2,000 water heater, not fix my current one. I asked him if they could fix the pilot and he told me my water heater was so old (2005 model) they probably couldn't find parts for it anymore. Because if the reviews on yelp I asked them to come out. The repairman came out, spent about 2 mins looking at the water heater, went to his truck and brought back the parts to fix my water heater. He was done in about 10 mins. Although I think they over-charged me for the repair ($350 for 30 mins and the pilot light), because they couldn't get a new one out iI was grateful for the repairman for having the integrity to identify it was worthy of a repair and not replacement. Yana, I read your response and it was a little different than my recollection of our discussion on the phone.. Firstly, thank you for calling me the same day I provided this review. I appreciated your interest in providing good customer service. To that end; as I mentioned on the phone, the decision to fix or replace should be left with the consumer. I felt the decision was being made for me. At no time was there a mention of the technician evaluating my water heater for replace or fix, nor was there a mention of a minimum response fee. By your own technician's standards, my water heater is in pretty good shape. Came home after a night out with the family and sure enough our water heater had failed and leaked everywhere. We called Water Heaters Only INC in the morning they quickly set up an appointment for the following morning. Derek showed up ontime and was very professional and very knowledgeable. What sets him and this company apart from others is when he installed the new water heater he noticed the ventilation pipe seemed very loose. He proceeded to ask to go up into the attick to check something out. Sure enough the ventilation pipe that carries the fumes outside was never correctly put on from previous installers.
