If you're here then you are just like me, wondering if this review is a "bot" or purchased or repeated under several names. It's none of those and just like you I wanted to fix up my house with an improvement to my kitchen with some random picture I found on IG. I contacted several people; one company from Angie gave me some ridiculous $8k-$10k estimate based on a picture I sent (no measuring or on-site job walk). The other was Falcone who gave me an appointment time and never showed up. It got frustrating but I kept at it and saw all these reviews for Jayrock Tile. Jason from Jayrock Tile showed up early and I showed him my IG photo telling him, "I really want this". He helped me so much with educating me on what I now call "Tile 101". I learned a great deal, and I made a few changes with the new knowledge he helped me with. His crew arrived early and I already knew it was the beginning of what turned out to be the best decision I've made for my home improvement. The Jayrock Tile crew walked in, they set up outside and just began what looked like a focused nonstop task of knocking out my kitchen. I walked by to peak each time, and the two-man crew were just moving! In the few seconds I saw them go from left to right then inside & out. I know nothing of tile work, but I can tell you that they didn't skip a beat and were making progress each time I looked in to see how it was looking. I was rather impressed at their progress and speed. I heard the saw constantly cutting away at the tile and never realized how much was required to make each piece fit. I knew the picture I had showed a much larger backsplash and kept thinking "did I make a mistake", "will it even look the same"... After they finished, I walked in and saw my kitchen. It was beyond what I expected, and I couldn't stop thanking his crew. It's wild that I saw a picture, asked if it could be done and now, I have that same design in my house too! Sadly, I see other reviews here about "horrible customer service" and I wasn't there so I don't know why that encounter ended up that way? What I can tell you about my experience is that Jason is a super cool dude that's down to earth. He helped me with what I wanted and gave me so much information to make what I wanted look amazing. His crew which sadly I never got their names because they were just "Hi" and straight to work!! Those two guys were awesome!!! I am beyond happy with how everything turned out! I've heard of some companies where not everything turns out as great. I can tell you that the quotation was perfect and within my budget. The crew was amazing, they didn't break anything, they were professional (I have toddlers), and they did the most amazing level of work in my home. My experience with this contractor was inconsistent. The initial quote on Yelp was $650, but once we moved to text, the price increased to $1,200. I accepted the higher price and purchased materials. After that, new rules were introduced, including a requirement to pay a deposit a week before the job just to be placed on the schedule. When I asked to keep communication on Yelp for transparency, the contractor's tone changed and he ultimately canceled the project. I'm leaving this review so others know to keep everything documented and confirm all terms before buying materials. read more

Horrible customer service! Refused to keep all communications in writing! I have the emails where Jason said if I did not call he would no longer respond to email! Always keep correspondence between both party's in writing. Protects everyone. Wow! See attached picture. He also wanted to cancel the project when I asked him who gets the tile. I never said or implied the tile cost was included in the bid. Very unprofessional. Run away! read more

We called Jayrock on a Friday with a nightmare of a problem with our mountain cabin floors. He showed up on Saturday morning to take a look and after offering a very reasonable bid we hired him to do the job. We made it clear to him that we were on a very short time crunch. His crew showed up the next day, Sunday morning right on time with all the equipment and tools needed for the job. They worked through the day into the evening until it was completely done. More than 10 hours. The work was done professionally and they cleaned up before, during and afterwards. What started out as just a new shower/tile ended up turning into a complete bathroom remodel. Once we saw how beautiful our new shower was, we just had to continue with new tile flooring to match, new toilet, new vanity, new mirrors/medicine cabinet, and paint! I was looking to have a backsplash added to my kitchen & two bathrooms tiled in the shower & shower doors added. It started with the free estimate that he came & gave. He 1st made me feel confident that his company could do the job & out lined everything that they would do. Also stating that it could be a little more if they ran into major problems like water damage. What he provided & what I was responsible for. Also how long the job would take. His experience & taking the time to just sit & throughly explain his steps made me choose him. I had already gotten 3 other estimates & he wasn't the cheapest but the attitude & knowledge sold me. I paid deposit to hold a start date & 2 weeks later the project started. They showed up on time & made sure to protect the areas they were in. His entire crew was great. They know what they are doing. They even did extra things that weren't in the contract for me. Jason advised me on colors & picked up the tile I needed. Among other things I needed. The work was completed in the time he stated as they stay to schedule everyday. The work is outstanding. I'm very happy. Jason & his crew do excellent work. I had a little problem with the shower door & they came in a day to take care of it. Any problems with there work they will handle. I like the fact that his company does it all. The white grout in our white tile in the kitchen is almost 25 years old. The grout had worn away in some places and got discolored. Jayrock scraped out the old grout and replaced it all. Wow! Dan and Evan did an amazing job laying four different tiles in my downstairs. They laid black granite and white marble in a diamond checkerboard in my living room. The two different tiles were different heights, but they made it work and the precision of their grid is impressive. As if that wasn't a big enough task, next they laid hexagonal tiles in my kitchen- another precise layout. Too much Geometry to get right for DIYers. Just call these guys, you won't regret it. They even worked on weekends to accommodate my family's upcoming vacation. read more
