My review will be lengthy, but for good reason. We're extremely grateful for Harold & Nicole. When we decided to redo our tub and tile, we had many people come out and give estimates. I knew the moment I met Nicole, we'd go through them. She is honest, knowledgable, communicative, and friendly. Harold's team installed a tub and subway tiles in July. Shortly after, we experienced some issues with a few tiles (ceramic tiles just aren't as sturdy as porcelain). I reached out to Nicole with many questions, and I received quick and helpful responses every time. Not only that, but Nicole and Harold came out twice to inspect the issue. Ultimately, we decided to start over with fresh tile, simply because we didn't want to deal with subway tile. I would absolutely recommend Harold White Tile Work to a friend. They have great customer service and they are very skilled at tile work. We loved Nicole. She was very friendly and knowledgeable during her estimate and answered questions and helped me think through some decision making. I was not working through a general contractor and she never seemed annoyed by my extra questions as a result. I was not the easiest customer as I chose terrazzo tiles for one bathroom. They are 12 x 12" in size, almost 1" thick and weigh 10lbs each. The tiles were delayed in production by over 4 weeks and Nicole very graciously accommodated my project and fit me in even though they are booked 12 weeks out. She was quick to respond to my emails or texts and I appreciated that. Harold and Josh installed the terrazzo tiles and they did a beautiful job. Harold took extra care to make sure there tiles were level even though the tiles sometimes varied in thickness and he would have to put one up and take two down to fix it. It was a tedious process but he did an amazing job and did not rush through it. Art was our installer for our other bathroom and he did a fantastic job as well. I'm glad we found this family-owned company on Yelp. Nicole came out to do our estimate. She's very friendly and knowledgeable and gave us a great quote, so we hired them to do our upstairs floor. We got rid of the old laminate and carpet and put had them put in the new laminate and baseboards. The work was done carefully and cleanly. The family works hard and are attentive to detail. We were very pleased with their integrity and work ethic, so we hired them again to do our stairs. Flawless work once again. The only we didn't like was having to sand and paint the old stair trim ourselves because the old carpet left residue. They came out to install the tile in our kitchen. We were happy with the work there. Their tile installer was nice and friendly. I think his name is Art. We appreciated that he laid out the tile to figure out the pattern first before cutting. It took him about a day to lay out the pattern, cut and start installing the tile. The next day he came back to finish it up and the day after he grouted. I had watched some videos on installing tile and I was happy that the tile installers were what they called back buttering the tile when they were installing the tile. According to the videos I watched that's the recommended way to install tile. Not that I'm a tile expert but it made sense. About 2 weeks later Harold came to perform a moisture test on our concrete floor. Test results came back and we were good to go. Harold and his son came to start installing the moisture barrier on Friday. Our floor needed grinding to level it out and I was worried it was going to cost me an arm and a leg. But Harold was very fair on the price. We supplied our own material the bamboo wood flooring, moisture barrier, and glue. Dale and Kevin came on Monday to start installing the glue down wood. They were awesome. They helped move furniture as we did a section at a time. And I was really impressed by how fast they were able to finish our entire downstairs floor 800 sq ft of installing moisture barrier plus installing glue down wood flooring. They started on Monday and were completely done before noon Thursday. Dale and Kevin were very friendly and great with my kids. My kids even wanted them to stay for dinner. Harold came every day to check in on the job and help as needed. Harold and Dale ended up wrapping up the job the last two days. Overall we are very happy with the work they did. We love our floors, they turned out amazing. The price for the tile install, moisture barrier install, and glue down bamboo wood flooring install was very fair and the best price out of all the quotes I got. So for the quality of work and the price we paid we are very happy. We don't feel ripped off. Actually kind of even feel like we got a bargain maybe since the other quotes were more. We had a great experience and would definitely recommended Harold White tile works! Fairly priced, efficient, quality work, and friendly too! We even will have them come back to finish our flooring in our master bedroom floor that we had another installer start but are so happy with Harold's company that we'd rather have Harold's company so the job for us. read more

We used Harold White Tile Work to redo our guest bathroom. We chose them because their quote for labor was very reasonable, another place we got a quote from was over double what they quoted. Nicole came out and measured, and she came back out one more time when we asked her to come look at something prior to us starting construction. Harold, Peter, and Anthony worked on our bathroom. Everybody who came to our house were incredibly friendly, honest, and easy to get along with. The work they did was excellent, we LOVE our new bathroom. They were always on time, early even, cleaned up every day before they left, and made the entire process very easy. They quoted 4 - 6 days to get the job done and it was done in 6. The only reason I knocked them down one star was I think the communication with the office was lacking. We did majority of everything through email, which is how I prefer to communicate so I can have everything in writing. Majority of the emails we sent were only partially answered and we had to ask the same questions over and over. If we sent an email with three questions, one or two would be answered. If we asked "will is cost more to etc..." the response was "yes" instead of "yes, it will cost XX dollars more." So then we would have to ask, "How much more will it cost?" We asked a couple times for the lady we were emailing with to reply to all so that both my husband and I would be in the loop, and that rarely happened. Sometimes emails went unanswered for days, sort of frustrating. At the end of it all though, the work was great, and they definitely deserve five stars for that. We would use them again if we decide to redo another bathroom or any other work in our house, I have already referred them to two people. read more

I am so glad I hired them again to do our master bathroom, and LVP install. Last year we had kitchen remodel due to the first one was horrible and did such bad job. When our kitchen had a water leak, we decided to remodel again. Unfortunately HWT doesn't do kitchens so we hire a local contractor who had good Yelp reviews, but they were just ok. One of their subcontractors is really poor and constantly wanted to charge me extra because he thinks the job is too complicated for him. After finishing the kitchen they were eager to get my 2nd job on upstairs. I said " No thanks." When I called Nicole for estimate for the project, she told me there is over a month long waiting list, but it is ok with me because they are worth the wait. Once they start they do not just finish it on time, but earlier. They came at 7:00 am leaving at 2 or 3 pm, which is great so you can have your house back and turn on your air conditioning during the hottest times. I can't say enough good things about the team: from Nicole, Art, Dale and Nick... They are all very professional and nice to work with. I never dealt with a contractor that has made my life so easy without the stress. I very seldom write reviews on Yelp because I am lazy and don't like to be bothered, but I have twice written good reviews for them. That shows how impressed I feel about their work. read more

We had old tile removed from the entirety of our front porch but you wouldn't be even able to tell because there was hardly any dust or dirt left behind and the porch was left super broom clean. Hello there Yelp, I don't do this often so that means there was a big enough issue to where I feel you should be aware of the possibility of what can happen by hiring this company. Summary: Initial quote of parts needed was incomplete and not helpful for a person who has no experience doing floors, attempt to rectify time poor communication was lackluster, and having my house under construction for over a month was disruptive and unpleasant. Read on for a more in-depth set of reasoning. First off, I will start by saying that the overall work quality is/was fair and that although I am not a floor specialist, I do feel a level of common observation would indicate that it was a fair job, probably 3 stars for just being average. They have a worker that was beyond fantastic, his name is Dale and I was impressed by him. The biggest issue I had was the length of time it took. They started the job on October 23rd of 2018 and completed it at the end of November leaving my house in a state of disarray for over a calendar month. Now, I understand things come up and it wasn't totally their fault. There was a problem with shipping out more supplies that were needed and that was out of their control. We had our price quote done 9/26/18 and it did not incorporate a clear and concise list of parts needed in laypersons terms. So I tried to speak with whom I think is a co-owner of the company about this issue as I am also in customer service (Emergency Department Registered Nurse) and I hate feeling like I didn't do everything to meet a patient's needs. This is where I became really turned off by the company and decided the customer service lowered the score to one star. There was what I feel to be a lack of responsibility in the outcome. The co-owner essentially said that the fact that it took so long was only partially their fault and that their apology was all that they were willing to offer as a compromise. The biggest problem I had was that the supplies had arrived a week and a half before they finished and they did not make our currently under construction job a priority. Instead, they scheduled it to their convenience, which I found to be very distasteful. I was willing to just let bygones be bygones even though I felt like as a customer I was unsatisfied by the way that they handled the situation. But then 2 days ago I received an email from their office staff attempting to set up a quote for the job, which I let push me over the edge because that means their communication is clearly poor as well. I am not trying to dissuade future business, I just want prospective customers to have the information to make a decision that best protects their own interest. If I had to do it all over again, I would have payed more to feel like I was a valued customer. I am willing to share all communications if any prospective customers would like to bear witness to what the customer service entails as I have multiple texts and emails. (Essentially $6,050 for install of 1000 sq ft of hardwood flooring including stairs). I hope this review is helpful in your determination and that all who read it have a pleasant read more
