One of the best decisions of my life! We wanted to remodel our 2 bathrooms. My buddy was using Cova Construction Services to remodel his baths. He referred us to Martin and Cova Construction. We were quoted a very fair price and reasonably quick timeframe. Let's begin! Once the project was started we were so impressed with the first bathroom, we asked if we could add a few more projects. We added new flooring(which looks amazing) painted the living room, kitchen and hallway (very nice) also painted the kitchen cabinets an amazing sage green(HGTV inspired) painted the fireplace mantel and distressed it, after all that we replaced our 60+ year old 10' slider door and added shades for privacy. All this in a relatively short time, about 6-7 weeks. Martin and his squad are all super good people and were a pleasure to have around the house. At the end of every workday all construction debris was swept up and clean. I would hire these gents again and again, you should too Thanks Cova!!! read more

First thing first thank you Martin and his team for a great job and wonderful experience given such a large scope of work. We appreciate your expertise. We've done so many things that I couldn't attach all the photos as it's reached Yelp's limit.. Our shower valve bursted so we needed a restoration for the kitchen (right down below) and the master bathroom. Overall they renovated our kitchen, master bathroom, second-floor flooring, stairs, and replaced our water regulator and some water boxes. The results exceeded our expectations. I still remember after installing the cabinets, I noticed the pantry and one more cabinet's doors were very slightly not aligned and was planning to tell Martin about it. However before I had the chance it was already fixed. We really appreciate such details. The crew was very professional and kept the space as clean as possible during construction. Our home feels completely transformed, and we couldn't be happier with the final outcome. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for renovation work. read more

I cannot say enough good things about COVA Construction. From start to finish, this kitchen project exceeded every expectation I had. Their pricing was fair, transparent, and refreshingly honest--no surprises, no games. Communication was effortless, and the entire team (especially Martin, Mike & Jr) were professional, respectful, and a pleasure to work with. They showed up on time every single day, kept the work area clean, and treated my home with care and respect throughout the process. The quality of workmanship is outstanding. Every detail was executed with precision, and it's clear they take real pride in their craft. What truly sets COVA Construction apart, though, is that they consistently went above and beyond--doing things the right way, not the easy way. It's rare to find a construction company that delivers elite detail, integrity, and reliability all at once. COVA Construction did exactly that. I'm absolutely pleased and thankful with my new kitchen and would recommend them without hesitation to anyone looking for top-tier work. If you're considering COVA Construction--stop considering and hire them. read more

We had such a fantastic experience working with COVA Construction! From start to finish, Martin was incredibly communicative, professional, and--most importantly--patient. He took the time to understand my vision and was always receptive to my ideas, no matter how detailed or specific. The team's timelines were spot on, and their estimates were accurate and very fair, which made planning and budgeting so much easier. They exceeded our expectations in every way--especially when they repainted our entire home on a tight schedule so we could move in on time. Despite the quick turnaround, the quality of work was excellent. Martin and his crew also tackled several additional fixes, including lighting fixtures and wall patches, all of which were handled smoothly and efficiently. One of my favorite transformations was the fireplace--updated with stone and now such a beautiful focal point in our home. And the custom window nook and built-in cabinets they installed brought in so much natural light; it completely elevated the space and was completed impressively fast. Martin was incredibly accommodating and communicated when there were any issues during this process and he was so understanding when I decided to change my idea midway through from a door to a window nook for the space. We're beyond happy with the results and will definitely be turning to COVA again for future projects like bathroom renovations and other home upgrades. Well worth the time, money, and anticipation. Highly recommend! read more

We found Cova Construction back in 2019 right before Covid for a project renovating our two guest bathrooms. They took out both fiber glass shower/tub inserts and refinished them with nice tile, low step entry and nice rolling glass shower doors. We were extremely happy with how both bathrooms came out that we ended up replacing one of the vanities, counter tops and accessories to really showcase the bathroom. We finally decided it was time to do a full renovation in our master bathroom. Our stand up shower had a very large bath tub next to it. The tub was so big that my wife quit taking nice baths because it seemed like it took 15 minutes or so to fill up and when she sat in it she would just slide down into the water. You could do an entire reenactment of the Battle of Midway from WW2 in there. We did not hesitate to call Martin back for a bid to do a total tear out, make some cosmetic changes to the walls and take out that gigantic mirror that came with the house. We accepted his bid and set up a start date. Martin, Mike and the rest of the guys show up for demo right on time. They show up every day right at 0730 and get to work. Martin is a great communicator. He lets you know what's going to be happening from day to day and they completed the job in just under three weeks. Tile guys Joel and Juan are perfectionists at their craft and you can see the craftsmanship in how they cut and lay the tile. If Martin sees something or is not completely happy with how something came out, he calls his guys back and has them alter it to his satisfaction. He caught things that I didn't see and at this point, he had my full trust that he has our best interests in mind. He even replaced the old low voltage lights over the shower and tub with nice lower profile LED lights that highlight what was once a pretty dark side of the bathroom. I guess you look at it as if he is and artist and he wants to showcase his work. None of this was part of the bid, he just thought it would look better and did it on his own. Trying to pick a contractor for a large project is tuff, trusting them is even tougher. I would use them again and not even get other bids from other contractors. That's how much I trust he and his guys work. read more

Our project involved a remodel of master bath. And the estimated two and a half week project was exactly as estimated. Martin the owner was great throughout the project. Kept us well I formed and had great ideas. I believe he and his crew went over and beyond. Just as another customer put it they became like family. Martin Jr and Mike were great to talk to and very professional. I was impressed on how they taped off the room and cleaned up daily and after the project was completed. Overall, I was very happy with everything from the time Martin came for the estimate to project completion. His contracted plumbers, tile, and glass guys were all great. We have several other projects that we will have completed in the near future and definitely looking forward to working with them again! Price was reasonable and stayed with estimate. Martin was willing to work extra things out without extra costs. Martin you and your crew were awesome and glad we chose your company! read more

(reposting with pictures) I highly recommend Cova Construction! My wife and I needed a complete bathroom remodel and entertained several contractor's quotes. Cova's quote was right in the neighborhood with the others. But discussing the job with Martin gave me confidence that he was the person I wanted to do business with. Martin assisted with suggestions on our basic idea for the bathroom and we ended up delighted with the results! The service Cova provided during the bathroom remodel inspired us to have them do the bedroom remodel my wife had been hounding me about forever! This included flooring and a changeout of the sliding closet door. Martin is very communicative about every aspect of the project and his team (family) is top notch! We'll be doing a renovation of the master bedroom soon. And we have Cova on speed dial! read more

We would like to think the COVA CONSTRUCTION TEAM of Martin Covarrubias, his son-in-law Mike, Martin Jr., Josh and Ivan for the OUTSTANDING JOB in the renovations from the water damaged first floor of our home. We met with several contractors for our reconstruction project. All made promises even though we had seen their reviews before hand, but only COVA Construction gave us the peace of mind when it came to honesty and knowledge of all the procedures working with insurance companies. From the moment we met Martin, it was a match. He was honest up front, greatly respectful, very knowledgeable in every step of the project, a super great guy and a gentleman. They're professionalism showed in every aspect of the project from the start to the finish. They paid great attention to details in every way. They advised us in every step and proceeding with their expertise. The outcome and finished project was fantastic, we've attached photos of the beginning and finished product. This review has been a long time coming! We had a slab leak that caused significant water damage in our bathroom and part of our kitchen, and after living in our home for about 27 years, we knew it was time for some updates. Remodeling felt like a big, intimidating decision, especially finding a team we could truly trust with our home. After vetting many contractors, I'm so glad we chose Cova Construction. Martin and Mike were incredibly patient with us through the entire process. They provided a reasonable price, stayed reliable and communicative, and always took the time to understand our vision. They didn't just meet our expectations--they brought our ideas to life in a way we couldn't have imagined. Now, four months after moving back in, I can honestly say the quality of their work has exceeded our expectations. They've given us a 'new old house' that we absolutely love! I highly recommend Cova Construction to anyone considering a remodel. This team is trustworthy, skilled, and a pleasure to work with! Can't thank you guys enough for all you hard work! read more

We had an amazing experience with Cova Construction from beginning to end, and would highly recommend them for any remodeling needs. I found Cova Construction via Yelp, and decided to reach out to at least get a quote. I was already in several talks with other contractors, but I wasn't completely sold on hiring any of them. We were looking to do a complete remodel of the home, and were also interested in quotes for the roof, plumbing, and exterior items. Martin came by promptly at the appointed time, and I was able to show him all of the rooms and what I was hoping to transform. He took measurements, asked several questions to get an idea of what I'd like, and provided suggestions that I never would have thought of. Not only did Martin turn around an estimated quote for me when he said he would (I think he visited on a Friday and delivered a quote on a Tuesday), but the quote fit into my budget, and was very reasonable for the amount of work we needed on the house. He was also able to provide timelines on which pieces they'd be able to start, and estimated timeframes for each stage of the project. From signing to completion, it took a little under 3 months. We weren't living there at the time, so it was an empty house to go through a full remodel. I was most concerned if there would be any delays in materials (thanks, COVID), but Martin had reliable suppliers where this wouldn't be an issue. In truth, the biggest delay I had was with appliances, and I had already pre-ordered those back in July 2022 (for eventual late delivery in October 2022); I preordered through Pacific Sales, not Cova Construction, so this issue wouldn't have been able to be avoided. For the most part, if there was something very specific I had requested for the home, Martin was able to get it delivered in some way, or had it constructed. This included a wrought iron side yard door, a very large barnyard door in the master, a cute barnyard door in an office, and a specific tub. To emphasize, this was a full-house remodel, inside and out. No part of the house was untouched. New paint in and out, completely remodeled bathrooms and kitchen, new doors, new fixtures, relayering of the roof, porch lights (hands-down, one of my favorite notes of the home), fixed/replaced gutters, new flooring, new kitchen island (the kitchen in itself is a work of art), demoed kitchen pantry, etc. It was a HUGE project, and Martin confirmed that it's one of the largest he's had to do due to the sheer amount of work. And, of course, everything had to be demoed before the building back up could be started. Martin's teams were able to multitask, and it sounded like there were multiple crews of his that were at the house at any time. For example, while demoing was occurring in the inside, the garage was getting insulated, repainted, and epoxied. Similarly, while the roof was being worked on, the interior was also being done. I am also very thankful that Martin's teams were able to work with some of the side contractors that I hired for specific work (e.g., hard-wiring the home and a new HVAC). We also didn't live in the area, and there were occasions where packages for the remodeling (e.g., toilets, vanity mirrors, mantel, etc.) would get delivered after the teams had left, and Martin patiently had Mike come by to get the packages inside. Something that I also appreciated was that Martin's team wouldn't just let anyone in the house during the remodeling process. If a neighbor came by to want to peek inside, they would politely tell them "no", or that "the owners requested no one to come in". I wholeheartedly appreciated that, as hubby and I are fairly private people. Yes, it's an empty home, but I wouldn't have felt comfortable with strangers visiting. The final result of the approximate 3 months of work (honestly, a good chunk of the work was completed by around 2 months) was a home that the hubby, myself, and the pup, have been able to enjoy and really make it our own. The neighbors and family that have seen the previous condition of the home and the current appearance has had nothing but compliments. We also hired Martin to assist with our previous home so that we can get it on the market. Like before, he was able to make a visit, create a quote after a few days, and work was started fairly quickly. I think some of my neighbors have also reached out to him to complete work for them, too! Overall, this was the least stressful project I had to deal with in 2022, and I was honestly excited on the progress I could easily see each week. Communication with Martin and his team was clear and quick, and I would highly recommend Cova Construction! read more

We had our home remodeled completely by Martin and his crew in late Jan to early Feb., all of them are extremely nice and professional. We replace downstairs flooring, replace upstairs carpet, replaced all 3 bathroom vanities, whole house painted, and also some small projects like changing out lighting fixtures ? Bathroom accessories and light switches. My husband and I are beyond happy with the results and most importantly, these guys works hard and always stay on top of communication. I consider myself as a picky Designer, but everything went smoothly because they always ask me for approval like if I'm happy with this and that, how does it look.. etc. and if I have something that needed to be changed, they were super helpful! Martin Covarrubias is the GOAT of general contractors. Unsurpassed. Period. In a business where horror stories are common, COVA Construction sets the bar for professionalism, communication, scope-of-work assessment, materials and craftsmanship, work completion on time and on budget, and providing clients peace of mind. We interviewed three different contractors and requested quotes from each. When Martin came out, I immediately had a really good feeling about him. I was right. We had a fairly extensive remodel that included kitchen, master bath, guest bath, and substantial improvements made to another bath and the laundry room. COVA also installed luxury vinyl plank flooring throughout the entire house, upgraded all built-in lighting, and painted the entire interior. This required us to move out and completely empty the house so that demoing and renovation could occur. Martin estimated the job would take six weeks. Of course and true to any extensive project like ours , an unexpected hiccup occurred. We discovered termites upon removing a hallway linen cabinet upstairs. Martin was able to recommend the pest control company that tented the house causing a delay and revision to the timeline to seven weeks. Remarkably and true to his word, COVA was able to complete the entire job in seven weeks and transformed our home. It is beautiful! Martin is a second generation general contractor and COVA is a family business. Martin, Martin Jr., son-in-law Mike, Ivan, and Josh all are friendly, genuine, and truly customer service oriented. First off, hope my photos hook up with review. There're some duplicates and 1 or 2 I could delete, but no way to edit/delete. Anyway... Martin and his team are a muti-generational family business who work together like a well oiled machine. They are friendly, respectful, considerate and efficient. They listen carefully and make sure you get exactly what you want: Great work ethic! Martin meticulously examines everything every step of the way to ensure everything is done right (I could say "perfectly"). No corners are cut. We were impressed by how knowledgeable they were and they helped me with a few design decisions, for which I'm very grateful. BTW, did you know that lighting is now adjustable from warm to cool bright? I like warm lighting, as in my pictures, though I know a brighter, "cleaner" light is popular. Guess I'd just adjust it if we were ever to sell The price was reasonable and there was a thing or 2 that he unexpectedly included. Another great thing?
