We hired Casa Valenzuela for a laundry room remodel. Everything was pretty smooth with regard to the project. Communication was pretty easy. Texting worked well for me and their willingness to communicate in my preferred style was helpful as someone who's busy all day everyday. During the extreme January winds, a section of our 23 year old wood fence was blown over. Time to find a fence contractor. When looking for a company on Yelp for a project, I always check reviews first. I never use the default "recommended" sorting, and I never use "highest rated" because a company can have a single 5-star review and show up as highest rated. Instead, I always go for the "most reviewed" and look for the companies with lots of reviews and a high overall star level. I then start reading the reviews, but I first concentrate on the 1 and 2-star reviews to see if there are patterns or red flags. With Casa Valenzuela, I saw some poor reviews as expected (afterall, can you really trust a company that has hundreds of only 4 and 5 star reviews -- it almost seems like they were paid for), but didn't really see any red flags, so decided to check out their photos, which looked good. I first reached out to Casa Valenzuela on a Friday afternoon, and got a reply early Saturday morning to set up an appointment to go over the project. Ironically, shortly after setting the appointment, I saw one of their trucks at my neighbor's house across the street. Turns out the guys were changing out another section of his fence (they previously did some work there on one of his fences). I asked my neighbor if he was happy with the work, and he had absolutely no complaints at all, so I felt good about working with them. Jeremy came over on time and we discussed some details. He worked up a preliminary quote and sent it over right away. The fence around our property is shared by all of our adjacent neighbors (both sides and two in back). The quote took this into consideration and the various segments were individually priced on the quote so I could share this information with my neighbors. My wife and I really dislike the "plastic" look of the typical white or tan vinyl fences, so after discussing it over a day or two, we opted to spend a little more for a material that closely resembles real wood. of course, this necessitated a new quote, which Jeremy provided quickly. During my chats with my neighbors, some of them decided to also have work done (one had a gate added to the new fence, and another had the remainder of their entire property replaced also). Jeremy came back one more time to take accurate measurements (some of the measurements on the previous quotes were estimations), and wrote up the final contract, and once we signed it, we were able to schedule an install date that worked for all neighbors involved. I then had a last minute request for Jeremy -- my wife didn't want vinyl for the front gate -- so we needed to design a custom iron gate and front section of fence. No problem -- we were able to knock this out via text messages and photos. His iron guy, Carlos came to take measurements, and kept me up to date with progress photos of the gate and iron portion of the fence during fabrication. (this was also quote #3 -- Jeremy is very patient). Install day came and I must say -- the crew did an amazing job. They were incredibly efficient, and had the side and back wood fence removed and loaded in their truck in about 2 hours. By lunch, they had the post holes dug and the posts in place. There was a lot of fence to do overall (total project was about 275' of fence), so they did it over several days. By the end of day one, the back and one side (roughly 145') were complete. Day two saw the other side and one side of the front complete (this day took longer, because a large section of this side was a custom picket fence), and on day three the iron portion on the other side of the front went in without a snag. The vinyl fence looks amazing (all of my neighbors involved loved the outcome), and the iron portion looks incredible as well. I would not hesitate to use Casa Valenzuela again and will definitely keep Jeremy's number handy. read more

Unfortunately Casa Valenzuela didn't live up to expectations on the fence rebuild my neighbor and I agreed upon. First thing that was wrong was that the original design of the fence quoted wasn't installed as expected. We requested a corrugated top on the fence due to high winds in our area at times. They installed a solid fence instead. Looks like a prison wall now. Second was they didn't clean up properly. They left plastic shavings all over the yard and outside . My dog is tracking it into the house and eating some of them. Third they rubbed a tire of a work truck across my outside wall leaving a mark.. Also left sawdust all over.. Fourth they left a gap under the fence. Now the gravel in my side will be cascading into my neighbors yard. In addition all water in my yard drains into my neighbors.. The previous fence diverted it to the alley behind the houses. Anyway kinda disappointed.. The pictures tell the story.. Not one thing is inaccurate. And my neighbor agrees with my review. read more

I needed a new kitchen because, (if you follow me, you'll remember that I had someone named Jason "The Loser" Lambrose steal $18,900.00 from me three years ago) my kitchen was literally falling apart even worse than it was 3 years ago! So I saved up enough money to hire a new contractor. I got three bids for my kitchen. Casa Valenzuela seemed the most reputable, and also the best value for the money. I always read all the reviews on Yelp as I take all of my Yelp reviews very seriously!! So here we go: I was first met by a tall gentleman by the last name of Smith who came to my home and took a really good look at everything and measured and asked me a few questions. He told me it would be somewhere between $7000-$9000.for the upgrade and the remodel. I thanked him and said I would let him know. Casa Valenzuela was definitely the best price and seemed very reputable, so I hired them. Using my " the good, the bad and ugly" scale, let's go down the list: THE GOOD! 1. THIS IS TRULY A FAMILY OWNED BUSINESS! So all of the people from Mr. (Jeremy?) Smith (the gentleman who first walked in my home and gave me the evaluation) to his wife Marissa Valenzuela-Smith (who never complained even when I emailed or texted on the weekends!), and the man who was always there for me: Adrian Valenzuela (Who might want to consider going into politics someday because he truly cares and knows how to handle and serve people!)...EVERYONE was courteous and professional! 2. Neighbors finally agreed to have back fence fixed got three estimates CV Construction was the cheapest, my neighbor only agreed to that quote! I wasn't thrilled to go with the cheapest quote (old saying you get what you pay for). Gabriel came out gave us a quote and we communicated with him via text and email to get the contract signed. I was very clear on what I expected and what I wanted since I had an existing vinyl fence I wanted everything to match as close as possible and be flush to the existing fence. On day one of install I had to call and ask what time they were coming I was not told what time to expect the crew. So when I text Gabriel and asked him what time they were coming he stated oh they should be there already which they were not they showed up about 45 minutes to an hour later. Towards the end of the day I noticed one panel was left undone at 5:00pm my backyard was cleaned up and the crew was gone but my fence was unfinished nobody told me what the issue was or what was going on. I made it very clear that I needed The Back Fence to be done in one day because I have dogs that needed to be locked up in order for the fence to be installed. Gabriel was contacted and he had to find out what happened again a lack of communication between his crew between us unacceptable. The second day of install the fence was completed I was not asked to do a walk-through nor did anybody come ask to do a walk-through with us and the gate is not flush one side is lower and the other side is higher to the existing fences! I would never refer them to anybody ever again I was promised that it was going to be flush. Only after the fact was it explained to me that the existing fence may have not been installed correctly, ironically, but if that was explained to me(maybe during the quote which it was not) I would have expected that but having to ask after it was already installed is unprofessional.Any changes should of been my choice or atleast explained before install. Once you sign the contact they do whatever they want! Also nobody came to collect payment I called to make sure that we would not be charged anything additional because the contract I signed does have some type of verbage that it needs to be paid within 10 days my husband happened to be in the area of Corona so he drove to make the payment rather than they come to us to do a final inspection. As a owner of a small business myself I would never conduct business this way. read more

I was incredibly impressed with the service and craftsmanship provided by Casa Valenzuela. Our fence got blown down during a wind storm and most of the estimates we got were set for 2-4 months out due to COVID, Casa Valenzuela was able to schedule me within 2 weeks. Not only were they quick to respond, but the estimate itself was fairly priced and everyone I spoke to was friendly and helpful. The work itself is gorgeous. The pictures don't do it justice. I wish I could have gotten a vinyl fence but due to vandalism I chose a wooden one. The gate itself I was able to get vinyl. They left a wood block while the cement set with instructions to remove it in a day and a half. They completed the project in a day and did a neat and amazing job! I didn't expect them to build the wooden fence from scratch, I expected them to use pre-made panels. I was surprised and incredibly pleased with the quality of wood that was chosen. We couldn't be happier. The original gate never worked properly and, after fighting it for 12 years, we decided to replace it. We got 4 bids and decided on Casa Valenzuela because they had the color that was closest to the existing fence. There was no hard sell, no broken promises, no B.S.
