The project seemed simple, remodel floor, paint, add a some fixtures. But that, as it always does, changed. After 30 years working with other contractors, I have seen how things can get gummed up. So when it came time to do the work, I expected some entanglement, some issue. But there wasn't. Everything went smoothly, even when we ran into scope changes from mold, water damage, needing extra materials, etc. If there were any snags, JV would anticipate and correct them. Once again, JV's Handyworks has done an amazing job painting my house and detached garage. Not just painting but a lot of the wood siding and trim had to be replaced or repaired. Poor workmanship. The glue for the floorboard did not hold the plank in place. It lifted after we removed the 50lb weight that pressed the plank down for 36 hours as recommended by the worker. My biggest complaint is the no response/ return calls/ return messages after multiple attempts when trying to connect with them to return and fix their work. I'm the fool who paid in cash, and now have to find somebody else to come out to fix their work. Otherwise, quick to respond to a job request, reasonably priced, arrived promptly at the agreed upon day/time; the job was completed quickly and cleanly, but not correctly. read more

I have called more than a dozen plumbers and a couple of tile guys but they didn't do both. A few other handyman came and didn't have experience to fix it properly. I had JV handyman service come out to give me a bid on re-doing drywall and replacing a brand new bathroom tub that a license general contractor installed as part of a garage conversion. I got multiple bids and JV was the only one that noticed the tub was installed without a spot or faucet to take a bath. He pointed out that even though there's a tub, there's only a handle for a shower. I also wanted him to confirm if the license contractor that did the work used the required 5/8" drywall in my house. Jv was able to confirm that a cheaper 1/2" drywall was used. The best part of my interaction with JV Handyman was he immediately told me he could do the work, yet, he is not a license contractor. He confirmed he was a licensed handyman. He quoted me an amazing price to fix the license contractors deceitful tactics. Unfortunately. I have to use a license contractor for this project because I am filling a complaint with Contractor Licensing Board I am hiring him to do work on my other rentals units.
