We made an appointment this April and picked out our new flooring. We picked out the best quality material and Robbie was very knowledgeable. We used the contractor he recommended and we started a group chat to coordinate so his contractor could come over to get measurements, material drop off and scheduling. The overall cost was actually less than we were expecting. The work was completed in May while we were out of town and they were done by the time we returned home. Everything looked amazing but there were some areas that needed to be fixed/redone. Robbie continued to assist us in answering questions on how to clean our new flooring and helped us coordinate the final corrections that needed to be done since the contractor was slow at getting back to us. I honestly don't have a reason for not leaving "the hardwood floor guy" a well deserved review from our original home improvement in 2015. Of course, I found the business using Yelp and inquired on visiting showroom which used to be located on 2nd st in old town Upland. We met Robbie and taken by surprise how much he carries as samples from different suppliers in the floor covering business. "Floor Covering" sums that up really simple. A vast amount of what is currently in style with new additions being updated periodically. Having the flexibility to act as a 3rd party supplier when you can't buy direct from manufacturer, I challenge you to compare prices from major Home Centers selling the same product. I honestly doubt you're going find a better price. If you still think you're getting a better price, check with Robbie on replacement availability. He could spare you some misery when you realize you might be considering something that is no longer in production. Material -underlayment -laminate floor -berber carpet -baseboard We had no doubt when it came down to price comparison and felt really good about having 'the wood floor guy" furnish material to do the entire 2nd floor. Material to include 4 bedrooms with closets, Hallway, Master bath, Hallway bath and stairs. Robbie did a complete take-off and delivered materials safely. Ask about deliveries, ours was included. Labor -remove floor covering and discard -prep floors -layout -installation -clean Robbie can offer a list of qualified installers that he recommends or you can choose to hire your own. I will add, the installation crew recommended did our second floor in a methodical phase. It's not easy and I emphasizes, it's not easy doing floor covering in a fully occupied home. The approach was to do master bedroom, bath and walk-in closet first. Move furniture to hallway and repeat as the work progressed into other bedrooms eventually ending at stairs. The end result is a beautiful finish product that will last years on. Why the review now, I called Robbie to inquire on matching a bedroom downstairs to match upstairs. Of course, my approved proposal went MIA and Robbie was able to confirm manufacturer, model and color. We're all looking to save money when it comes down to purchasing power and if labor is involved, we're seeking that, too. You have to draw the line between good and bad. Lot's of horror stories out there with so called installation companies not doing "finish work". As I write this, I can hear cutting, scraping, sanding etc . . . .
