After a major sewer line broke in our 51 year old house we had to do a major repair. They ultimately had to dig up a large section of the travertine floor in the master bathroom. We had a good feeling about JM Custom Tile & Stone almost immediately upon sitting down with Jody to discuss our project. He asked what we were looking for and my wife and I explained our vision for our master bathroom shower. Jody took his time and explained how he would turn our vision into a reality. We had such a great experience with this company. We wanted to retile a small bathroom and Jody was able to provide a quick preliminary quote through yelp on a Wednesday, came out to measure on Thursday, and was finished by Saturday! Yesterday, JM Custom Tile and Stone completed a three bathroom renovation at our home. When we decided to completely renovate the bathrooms, finding an experienced and reliable contractor, who is meticulous, was our priority. We found that contractor and more in JM Custom Tile & Stone. For most of the last three months, Jody and Tommy renovated our three bathrooms, one bathroom at a time. They arrived between 8 AM and 9 AM every morning and worked till late in the evening. They put down drop cloth along the entry way every morning and pick it up, as they clean up every evening. I will let these photos do the talking as to the craftsmanship and quality of their work. As a Licensed Civil Engineer, who knows a thing or two about construction, Jody and Tommy did an amazing job. Please note - painting the walls is not included in the contract with JM Custom Tile and Stone. What we appreciated the most is Jody's temperament, his ability to take us along on every crucial step on the job. No tile was placed without first placing few of the tiles on the floor, in different patterns, to visualize how the final product would look like. Jody is very knowledgeable in construction and freely provided us with his opinion/advice, while allowing us to make the decision. Jody takes pride in his work and his attention to detail is infectious and comforting. His quartz guy, Brad, is extremely good at what he does. We waited over three months after we agreed to proceed with JM Custom Tile and Stone and we are so glad we waited. It was definitely worth the wait. I say to those who are currently waiting, wait! I called Jody last week for an appointment to give us an estimate for tile work in 2 of our bathrooms. He answered back and said that he could be here Friday July 1st between 4 and 6 pm. After accepting that appointment time he emailed me back and said he couldn't make it that it would have to be Tuesday the 5th at 6 pm. At 6:45 he still hadn't shown up or called to tell us that he was running late or couldn't make it. I had turned down another contractor that wanted to come by at the same time to give me an estimate and I told him no knowing Jody was supposed to be here at that time. Jody finally called me that evening and explained the situation. The next morning I called him back and we agreed to meet that same day so he could do the estimate. He arrived on time, was very apologetic for missing the previous days appointment and couldn't have been more professional. He explained every aspect of the work to be done. He covered items that none of the other contractors had even mentioned and went over every possible potential problem that could arise. He had great design suggestions and we loved his attitude. When he gave me the quote I couldn't believe how reasonable he was compared to the other bidders considering the methods he employs to make sure the job is done right. JM Custom Tile and Stone did a great job installing porcelain plank tile throughout our house. It is beautiful and perfect as well as the baseboards! He also installed an ADA shower in our master bathroom and it came out so nice. As they began the work in our shower, we encountered damage that had been caused by termites and he did a great job with the repairs.
