Re: We would like to respectfully clarify a few points in response to Greg's reply message…read more Per Greg's direction, we were told to reconnect near the end of our project--specifically after countertops, finished plumbing and appliances were installed--so finishing work could be completed. Our appliances were installed in early May 2025, and we reached out accordingly, again during the summer and subsequent attempts without response, and again in December prior to move-in. At that time, we were told the remaining work would take approximately 1-2 days to complete. We have made consistent efforts over the past year to schedule completion, with extensive documentation (emails, texts, and call logs) showing multiple follow-ups from our side. There have also been several periods where we did not receive responses for weeks at a time. The cabinetry was largely installed in April 2025, at which point approximately 95% of the contract amount was paid as requested. Despite this, the project itself is not 95% complete and remains unfinished. To clarify, there was not a "9 month disappearance" as stated. There was a brief 2-day delay in April due to unrelated home issues, after which communication resumed and has continued since. We have an email acknowledging this from Greg with an apology. We also provided Greg with our contractor's contact information to coordinate final plumbing connections related to appliance installation. We have messages confirming this. Any difficulty connecting was not due to lack of access or coordination on our end. In December, after multiple attempts to obtain a timeline, we were told the project could be completed at the end of February. That timeframe passed without completion, and we were not proactively informed of any change or date. We followed up again and were told Greg was significantly behind on other projects and unable to provide a timeline. We then sent a formal request via email and text for a confirmed completion date and did not receive a response. At this point, several months have passed without a confirmed completion date for a project that has been largely paid for, which has been difficult to manage from a homeowner perspective. We have documentation of all communication and are happy to provide it for transparency if needed. Additionally, Greg is currently still in possession of some of our shelving, cabinet panels, doors, and mesh drawer components that we purchased. As of today, the remaining items include, but are not limited to: * Missing cabinet doors * Appliance panel installation * Mesh vegetable drawers * Missing and incomplete shelving (kitchen and living room nook, as well as inside cabinets) * Crown molding installation * Correction of uneven cabinet reveals (including at the island as shown in picture below) * Shelf edge banding/finishing showing exposed plywood and mismatched color * Visible gaps between cabinets and walls * Missing knobs and handles * Cabinet paint and stain touch-ups These items were expected to be completed to achieve the custom cabinetry finish that was discussed. We have photo documentation of these outstanding items. Throughout this process, we have remained professional and patient in our communication. All correspondence has been respectful and documented. We have made multiple good-faith efforts to resolve this directly, but to date have not received a confirmed plan, response to our formal messages, email or date for completion. Our goal has always been to complete the project professionally and bring it to a close. We have waiting patiently for months and still remain open to resolving this, but we do need clear communication and a confirmed plan and date to finish the work.

My sister still wanted to give it a chance and went to visit the business, and the same lady continued with the RUDE attitude treating my sister horribly. With that said, thank you but no thank you. She will be taking her business somewhere else. If a customer is willing to pay for a job done, the least you as a business can do is show some respect to that customer regarless of their accent

Mitchell’s Stone restoration and Cleaning service

I hired Mitchell's Stone Restoration and Cleaning Service to clean and restore my travertine…read morefloors, granite counter tops and shower walls and floor. This was a one man job with George, the owner , doing all the work. I am very dissatisfied with his service. First of all, the several holes in my stone floors were to be filled with epoxy resin, as stated in the signed contract. Instead he filled them with grout, a much easier and less permanent fix. When I called him out on this, he then refilled the larger holes with the epoxy resin. Next, my counter tops were over sealed and now it shows a film over them which I can't seem to get rid of and my wife hates it. Finally, the shower floor was stripped cleaned and resealed. The seal lasted about three weeks then started to wear off. Every time the shower was used soaked wet spots started to appear in the grout, increasing with each shower. George came back and re-sealed it twice but each time after a couple weeks the sealer started wearing off. I have tried vigorously to contact George Mitchell numerous times over the last month but he will not answer my text, emails or voice messages. It seems he has no interest in finishing the job. This job has been paid in full but not finished. It appears he offers no warranty for his incompetency. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Mitchell's Stone Restoration and Cleaning Service.

For 4 bathrooms they were very timely in completion and did not rush to get in and out. I am overwhelming pleased with the work completed and my new counter tops are absolutely beautiful! The lines of the tile are straight, giving it a clean, professional appearance. We used them to complete the shower. The outcome was beautiful, giving it a modern, cozy looking appearance instead of a small, dark appearance. What we appreciated the most was their attention to detail. They nicely took care of the corners, edges, and even the space between each tile. Their workspace was also kept clean during the entire duration of the project. Communication was not a problem at all, and they were also respectful of the property. The value was amazing for what we had done. Once we found Culpepper Flooring and spoke with Matt about our "Hardwood Floor" project we knew we found the right person and company. This project was in a mountain home 6 hrs away from us and finding the right company to do the job was critical because all communication was via texts, emails or phone calls! Matt took great care in removing all furniture from the work areas and prepping the area with plastic wrap, to limit the dust, etc. The final results showed great pride in their work and the outstanding reputation that this company has had for a very long time. This could have easily been a 5-star review but unfortunately that is not the case…read more.. I hired Matt to install around 1500 SQFT of LVP, which took about 4 days. On the last day I was pleasantly pleased with the final progress. However, here is the issue: In the office, storage closet, and bedroom there was ripped up carpet (which was done during the initial prep) because it transitioned to the LVP. He informed me that he would have someone come "tuck the carpet", because that was something that he doesn't do. He also asked if I can pay him, and I obliged simply because the flooring was completed for the most part. I also assumed he took great pride in his work and wouldn't leave the existing carpet out of place (I was wrong). Prior to leaving he informed me that someone would be coming to my house the next day to tuck the carpet. He went as far as to calling me 10 minutes after he left to schedule a time of 12:30pm. Unfortunately, no one showed and when I contacted him to get an ETA, he never responded. This was well over a month ago and he still hasn't gotten back to me. So now I'm left with paying someone else to complete a task that Matt was supposed to do. This is highly unacceptable and unprofessional. What if the shoe was on the other foot and I didn't pay him what he was owed? It would be a huge issue. Some of these contractors want you to respect their business but won't give you the same respect in return.

I sent over a brief description and a couple of pictures and Joe (or Jody?) gave me an initial estimate very quickly. Joe came to my house as scheduled and performed a much detailed inspection. Though more work needed to be done, which drove up the cost but it was very reasonable. Joe then proceeded to finish the work in the next 2 days. He replaced all broken tiles and re-tiled the loose sections. Joe's high quality of work and his friendliness made the whole experience very pleasant. I highly recommend JM Custom Tile and Stone.

His was the most reasonable (the price did go up with items not listed on the initial quote, ask for the full price on ditra and baseboards if you do your floors) Jody was very thorough and put so much effort into our floors. He gives you quality work. You really can tell he cares about the job at hand. I will definitely hire him again in the future and would recommend them to everyone.
