THE DEETS: After researching a couple of local carpet places, I am so grateful that I found Elite. We were in the tumultuous process of trying to get new carpet installed within a very tight timeframe. Every place I checked did not have the carpet that I was looking for in stock and it would NOT arrive in time --but Alex at Elite assured me that he had what I wanted in stock or he could order/get it in time, if needed. I was super impressed by the first conversation with Alex because I had already spoken to a few other carpet places and had been getting the same responses from all the others --they would need to access the house to take measurements in order to give me an accurate estimate/quote ---which is NOT easily done when you're in escrow and the house is still occupied by the current owner. Alex assured me that he already knew the measurements because he has access to an exclusive database that contains that information. This was SUCH a relief and a huge game changer --with our challenging timeline, we were able to save a whole day and bypass an entire step in the process and it just made everything so much smoother. Alex also went out of his way to make sure he was available when I arrived at the shop. He showed me several amazing samples of high quality carpet and gave me price quotes on everything. I truly felt like he listened to my needs/concerns and gave me several viable options --I didn't feel like he was just trying to push the most expensive or the most plentiful brands... his carpet selection was unmatched. Personable and professional, Alex has been in the business for decades and his knowledgeable experience really shines. He was willing to accommodate several of our "special requests" and got me a great deal on exactly what I was looking for. Communication throughout the process was great -(which was also very reassuring after I had been ghosted by a different carpet guy). I have been working with Service Champions for many years and made several recommendations to…read moreothers about them, but things have really changed over the last few years. In 2025 I had a new system installed including brand new duct work after having my roof replaced and the whole attic area completely cleaned. The cost for all of this was close to $80,000. The duct work was supposedly the best in the business with special boots oversized ducts and a way of securing the duct work to the vents for maximum efficiency. Upon completion an independent service had to come out and redo the vents, as they were not lying flat. Yes, they did it at their cost, but it took a whole day, they seem to forget that this is my time and it is not free for me to sit around and not be working. After the duct work was done the new system was installed and upon completion we notice several of our light sockets had been stepped on and were not working. Again, they came and repaired but we had to wait for them to come out, and the window was 4 hours. Now we have water dripping out of two of the vents. When I called, they arranged to have a service call set up and that the person would call on their way. This time they were actually coming early. You would think that the individual/s coming out would be prepared to repair the issue, especially as this is on their advertisement that the truck will be fully equipped and ready to service the job, instead we got a service advisor in a pickup truck. The advisor was clearly upset and said that he would have the people who did the poor installation come out as they would learn that work done poorly has to be done twice. I was getting ready to go out of town in 4 days and so he made it sound like he had to pull some strings to get this done. It would seem to me that this should be a top priority to finish a job that was done incorrectly originally and yes, it is another 4-hour window. He also told me that the job before us was small so we should expect them towards the earlier time. I am still sitting here waiting. I just called and they still do not have a time estimate. I have totaled the hours since the installation was done of the time I have had to wait for them to come back and complete the work and it is 18 hours. By the time they complete the work I will have spent nearly 3 workdays waiting for them to correct their errors. I don't know about you, but this seems to be poor priority service when I signed up for their preferred service program and have been paying a monthly charge for express service for the last 7 years. I hope I have not wasted the time of those reading this but thought you should be prepared.
