In March, JJ renovations completed a remodel of my small upstairs hallway full bath and repaired some water damaged drywall in my downstairs bathroom. I obtained estimates from several contractors, but ultimately decided to go with this company because Daniel (owner) promised that once the job started, they would be at the job every day until done. My husband and I highly recommend J J Home Renovations. Daniel and his crew came through for us! Back in April 2024, we experienced a pipe issue in our kitchen. We called All City Plumbing who in turn referred us to ExpeDry Restoration. Since we never experienced anything like this, we put our trust in these two companies only to have our hopes shattered. ExpeDry screwed us in the mitigation with our insurance company. The monies (which was negotiated and accepted by ExpeDry) were paid out, but then ExpeDry later came back wanting more money. They did not negotiate at all and in turn threw us into a whirlwind. As a result, we decided not to have them do the restoration. Daniel the general contractor (owner) was amazing from the very beginning to the end of our kitchen renovation. Initially we talked about the cost and it was very affordable and competitive with other quotes we had gotten. Our kitchen is medium sized, so Daniel confidentially told us our kitchen remodel would be completed in 2 weeks. I didn't believe it because from my friends and coworkers experience it ultimately took longer than that, so I mentally prepared myself for 3 weeks. I was just amazed when the remodel was actually finished on time in 2 weeks like Daniel had promised. We had 2 guys come work on our kitchen mon-Fri from 8am-5pm. The workers ALWAYS came on time, were very respectful of our space/home, and cleaned up at the of each work day. They even came on a Saturday to install our waterfall quartz countertops. Daniel would even come 2-3 times each day to check with the progress and overlook everything. He's really hands on and has a fantastic crew. He always answered our questions and explained everything in detail. He also gave great suggestions on our remodel. For example, having our sink in the corner to maximize countertop space. So genius. JJ Home Renovations, Daniel Vasquez and crew, accomplished a beautiful whole home renovation that exceeded our expectations. It included kitchen, bathrooms, windows, flooring, interior doors, new staircase, custom bar, recessed lighting, interior and exterior paint. All of this within 7 weeks of the original 7-9 week estimate and on budget. Daniel's idea to remove the kitchen soffit and move the refrigerator gave us more cabinet and counter space and turned the kitchen from a cramped area to a more open and useful space. In the family room he replaced an old useless slider and a large window with four single-hung windows which allow for much better placement and use of furniture. Daniel ensures that every detail, no matter how small is taken care of. Now to the crew. JJ Home Renovations completed a bathroom remodel at our home in the historic College Park area of Ontario. It came out beautifully...it went way beyond our expectations. The bathroom is extremely small and they were able to extend the shower and put in a pocket door to maximize floor space. I found this company from Yelp and was very pleased with my experience with them. I was looking to renovate two bathrooms (master and a 2nd hallway bathroom); the master bathroom would be completely renovated while the 2nd bathroom would be replacing tile, sink, toilet, paint (tub left alone). Danny came to check our bathrooms out and quote us. He was very thorough and was an attentive listener to what we were looking for - and he was also open to sharing suggestions on some areas we were uncertain which way to go. For our master bathroom, we tore down a wall to open up the space and made our single sink into a his/hers sink, added recessed lighting, redid plumbing for the shower to move the valve from one wall to another, etc. His team was always punctual and did their best to keep the mess to a minimum since we were still living there during the remodeling. I appreciate his approach of staying focused on our project for its entirety (came in every weekday) vs coming on some days and then not on others (as other contractors often do). Danny came by a couple a times each week to check on the progress and help out and answer any questions. He's friendly and is open to answering questions and is professional in his interactions. I found the pricing to be competitive and less than what I was quoted from a different contractor who was highly rated on Yelp. My only negative experience was the shower glass/mirror contact he had suggested (doesn't work for Danny). I do not recommend him (Mario Valdez) as he was severely late all 3 times he came by and scratched up my medicine cabinet mirror, wall, and tile. He ended up paying for my medicine cabinet to be replaced after Danny pointed it out. Mario also did not clean up after himself (left trash/debris in my new shower). I still give JJ 5 stars since I can't blame Danny for referring someone that had done a good job on previous projects; Danny felt bad about referring Mario and made sure to follow up with me after the work was done to make sure it was to my liking. Overall, I highly recommend JJ Home Renovation. They are fairly busy though so if you're thinking of renovating your home, be sure to reach out early and check availability.
