We had a great experience working with Build ADU on our master bathroom remodel and highly recommend them. The quality of their work truly stands out. The craftsmanship, attention to detail, and overall finish exceeded our expectations. They executed our vision beautifully and completely transformed the space by relocating the shower, removing the tub, and updating the layout. The final result feels modern, elevated, and very well done. The project was completed in about two and a half weeks, which was impressive given the scope of work. We worked closely with Jessica, Anthony, and Emely, and communication was honestly a breath of fresh air. After speaking with multiple contractors who would follow up once and then never return calls, their responsiveness and consistency really set them apart. They brought in experienced specialists for the plumbing and were also able to guide us on exactly what was needed to support a sauna, which was part of the original scope and design. Having that level of clarity and coordination made the process feel smooth and well managed. If you're looking for a contractor who delivers high quality work, stays on schedule, and truly communicates, Build ADU is a great choice. We're extremely happy with the outcome and would absolutely recommend them. read more

Jessica and her team brilliantly helped our family in our hour of need. Jessica designed a beautiful shower area and bathroom remodel that would be both beautiful and functional for my sister after her stroke. Jessica then made it happen quickly before my sister returned from the hospital. The work was gorgeous at a fair price and my sister was pleased against the backdrop of a lot of personal adversity. Jessica is equal parts goddess and fixer. Work like this doesn't happen without a thousand small sacrifices when nobody is watching. They are the team that you want on your side. You will be delighted with the results that they give you. In a world where we are often asked to make do with less and pay more, Build ADU Remodel flips that relationship in your favor. I recommend them wholeheartedly without condition. read more

I've had the pleasure of working with the BuildADU family team on two very large and complex projects, one a remodel of 5000 square feet of dining/meeting/lounging space, and the other an outdoor project that included 30+ lights, roofing, garage remodeling, fencing and even a skate park, believe it or not. They can do it all. And they're fun. See you soon, BuildADU! read more

My ADU project is finally complete! I learned so much over the past year and half when it came to new consturction in California, patience is the largest lesson learned. I was thankfully guided through all steps with Jessica and her family. From the start communication was wonderful. I started the process of seeking a contractor in 2022, I interviewed about 13, when I found Build ADU, the decision was easy. Jessica was the only contrator that gave me the information needed in a way I was able to understand, worked with my budget and made all the pre-counstruction items needed for my job easy for me to understand. She was always available in-person, text or phone call. Since this was a new construction, I had no idea what it actually entailed, from city plans, planning meetings, city checks, the list goes on, each step was explained and guided for me by Jessica, thankfully she knew so much I actually was not worried as she took over as the professional and brought me into the conversation when I needed to make a decision. Every step was throughly explained to me, there are so many I can't even type them all out. I I appreciate that the business is women owned, family owned and each person who came to my property was respectful, clean and did an excellent job. They also use the same team, shout out to Julio and team for all the work they did, even in the hot hot summer months. Also, thank you to Jesscia's brother Anthony who does the interior parts, such a kitchen and bathroom and I believe flooring. Also, Jessica did an amazing job taking final photos and video of the unit, which actually helped me rent it out! I am going to get my kitchen done next with them stay tuned! If you have any questions about the company, process etc, feel free to message me. But I 100% recommend Build Home ADU for any home projects. Thank you again all who helped my dream come true! read more

We hired Jessica's team at Build ADU to fully remodel our master bath and a tub-to-shower conversion in the secondary bathroom. The team arrived everyday on time as promised and got the job done on schedule. They are very professional and their pricing is fair. I would definitely recommend. read more

We can't say enough positive things about Build ADU Home Remodel. It was our first experience remodeling a house. From the initial contact to the in-house inspection, we couldn't be more impressed. We had reached out to 4 other contractors, and they were the only ones that provided a reasonable and detailed estimate. They were also very accessible and responded quickly every time we reached out. For this reason, we decided to do a full remodel including kitchen, bathroom, flooring & windows throughout the house. All of this was completed in a time frame of 6-8 weeks, which they had estimated & promised initially! We also love how they are a family-owned business. The whole team from Jessica, Anthony, Emily & Chava were genuine, transparent and professional throughout the entire project. The entire work crew were always on time, professional & hard working. We were always in the loop and felt like they really cared, not only about the project but also about the details and our feelings during the entire process. The quality of their work is amazing! We are SO Happy with how our home transformed. It's clear they take pride in what they do. We HIGHLY recommend Build ADU Home Remodel to anyone seeking a reliable and trustworthy team. Looking forward to working with them again on future projects! read more

I just want to start by saying this team is awesome. My bathroom came out beautifully and these pictures don't do it justice. I will be honest and say they were not the most nor least expensive. The reason I went with this company was because of Jessica. As a woman looking to get work done on her home, I felt as if she listened to what I was saying, and did not try to convince me to go beyond what I was comfortable with. Her suggestions were within my price range, and ultimately the final decision on whether to take her advice, or do what I wanted to do was completely left up to me. The team that worked on my home was also awesome. I was given an update at the end of each day, and walked through what they had done. If there were any issues and/or hiccups, they alerted me immediately and provided a resolution. I would highly recommend this company to anyone. In fact I wish I had found them when I bought my home five years ago as I would have had them do all of the work that I have done on my home. Just want to say thanks Jessica, Anthony and team. read more

Work looked great on completion but Floor got messed up in 4 months despite delicate care. Guess the material used was not good. 2 years later, it's embarrassing. Looks like I have to redo it all over. Sad. read more

Build ADU Home Remodel did a fantastic job remodeling our bathroom! Jessica made things easy by helping me pick out which tiles to use for the shower and flooring. She brought over samples of exactly what I had in mind. The team told me exactly what they were going to each day so I aware of how the project was going. Jose did our tile work and it came out perfect! Anthony and the team did a great job with all the work that had to be done to make two small areas into one large bathroom. Build ADU is a family owned company so they really take great pride in their work. I would definitely recommend them for any projects you need in your home! read more

When I first started looking for contractors on yelp I stumbled across Build ADU and about 4 others. After speaking with Jessica I knew BUILD ADU would be the right company for us. Her and I clicked on so many levels. I hired them to build an ADU from our old detached garage. They exceeded all of our expectations from the initial consultation to the final walkthrough. Their crews showed up everyday and were professional and respectful. The project was completed in a 4 month timeline and we stayed within budget which I know is a rare thing in construction. Anytime I had questions or concerns I could call Anthony or Emily and they would respond back right away. The final result is beautiful. I would highly recommend them to anyone that is interested in building or remodeling. Thank you again Build ADU Team! read more

We hired Jessica and her team to help us remodel our kitchen and bathroom at our house here in Upland. Instantly, from the moment we met her, you can tell she was really personable, professional, and knowledgable. It was a pleasant surprise when we realized it's a family owned business and the father is the G.C. and brother is the project manager who does such a great job at communication. Every single day, he would text us with an update and keep us informed on the project Our overall experience was a 10/10 and we highly recommend them others. read more

I need a few projects and called this company for an estimate. Jessica set an appointment for noon but didnt come or call. I called her at 1 and told her I had to leave at 1:30 for a doctor's appt. She said she thought she texted me that she was tied up at City Hall. No text. She said she would go outside in 15 minutes and call to tell me when she might be able to meet with me. No call. She later said she could come on Tues. I texted her on Monday requesting an estimate and suggested 11 a.m. Never heard from her again. I can understand schedules being interrupted, but it is very poor customer service to leave people hanging without updates. By phone, not texts, by the way. Perhaps they are too busy to want my business. read more

I had the pleasure of working with Jessica and her team for my much needed bathroom remodel. Jessica was very helpful through the entire process. She brought many different samples of flooring, tile, fixtures and lighting. She made what could have been a very stressful remodel, actually fun. Her team was outstanding! They worked diligently each day and cleaned up every evening. If you are looking for a remodel project, look no further. The bathroom was gutted and rebuilt in about a week. They were able to give a beautiful new bathroom while being sensitive to my budget. I'm so impressed with their professionalism that I'm looking to have them do another project. read more

Honest with pricing, transparent during the process, responsive to all our questions . Text messages at the end of the day with work that was completed and the next days schedule . We hired them to build a ADU , Customer service was far the worst always need to call them for a update otherwise we wouldn't hear from them for weeks . Things that the co owner jessica said she was going to include if we give her our business ,at the end she played the game I don't recall saying it . We learn the hard way we should of had her added to our contract or on a text or email. definitely their work was not a five star. They left a mess and one of the kitchen outlets were not measure correctly ,we can't use it . read more

Giving them a 1-star solely based on the fact that i can not get a hold of anyone. I've called the number that is displayed on yelp, which does not work. Then i go directly to their website and call that number, where I've sent a text a left a voicemail 2x and never got a call back. Very disappointed because I've seen the reviews online and was hoping to give them a chance to work on my home project.. read more

Part 2 - Now, we did reach out to them a few weeks after this project was completed, but not because of any issues, it was to schedule the next project, remodeling our master bathroom. We received the EXACT same superior service across the board, but even more so. Jessica is an unbelievable salesperson. She is so helpful and knowledgeable and provides suggestions and ideas and allows us time to think about things. Her input during this phase actually gave us more ideas than we had to begin with and actually changed our original plan of what we wanted- for the better! But there is no selling pressure. She is wonderful in that regard. Then Anthony pulls up the rear and turns Jessica's ideas into reality for us! Now, a month after ADU completed our master bath I still feel like I'm in the bathroom of a luxury resort suite every time I'm in there because it so so nice and comfortable and functional. Showers seem to take longer than before the remodel. Basically, I find excuses to hang out in my bathroom and so does my wife! ADU has already been back again to do a minor project of replacing a door and frame that they knocked out in 1 day. We also have an additional minor project that is currently being scheduled and more major projects down the road of new floors throughout the house, and a new kitchen that will certainly be done by Jessica and her team. I cannot express in words how COMPLETELY satisfied we are with ADU and would recommend this company without hesitation! I gave ADU 5 stars because that is the max. It would be 10 stars if that was an option. If you are in the market to remodel, you cannot go wrong with ADU! Just talk to Jessica and you will see why a guy who does NOT write reviews, just wrote an essay for ADU. read more

I would definitely refer And be a return customer for all my upcoming projects! Jessica is the best, she was there to walk me through all my questions and concerns! The crew was fantastic, professional and very Clean!! Thank you, Jessica, Chava, and Anthony for all the great beautiful work you did for us!! You all rock!! read more

After vetting multiple contracting companies, this one appeared to be the most professional and trustworthy, and they have proven those qualities from start to finish. Counter top over our appliances had to be replaced after one year because it was bowing in the middle, lack of support to quartz countertop. Sink was not properly seated on vanity and had to be reset and sealed. Towel racks with anchors falling out of walls. Significant amounts of caulking used awkwardly everywhere hiding flaws. Used wrong paint color gradient than what was requested. They told us countertop around sink needed to be put together in pieces bc it might crack but other contractors have revealed that it was because they just used the left over quartz scraps from the used slab. Had to hire another contractor to fix 1 year old work. Didn't want to let them know after a long drawn out work period bc I don't want them to fix it. Very disappointing and not a high end or detail oriented option. I could go on but my point is made. read more
