Robin from Handyman Construction did an amazing job taking care of several projects I needed done around my house. They did an excellent job remodeling my chimney, installed an attic ladder in my ceiling so I can finally take advantage of the extra space in my attic, and built a beautiful wooden fence outside. Robin and his team were professional, hardworking, and did a fantastic job on everything. I'm extremely happy with the results and would highly recommend Robin and Handyman Construction to anyone looking to remodel their home or needing any type of home improvement project. First off I'd like to start off this review by stating I understand my review does not reflect majority. We received an inspection of our balcony on 8/29 and on 8/30 received our quote. Robin was made aware he was our first quote and we had several lined up throughout that next week. During that time my husband had emailed all plans we had from our HOA to Robin. On 9/7 we messaged him telling him we'd like to move forward if he could do it for the price we countered with. The following day on the 8th he accepted and stated "I'll get it written up in the next day or two." On Friday the 11th he reached out letting us know he had business in LA and would be very busy over the weekend but that he had questions so to be prepared. On Sunday the 13th I reached out asking for a contract by EOD. He let us know he would have it today the 14th and again he had questions so be prepared to answer them. After waiting a week for a contract to sign we decided to move on. He is unprofessional and rude. Just read for yourself the way he speaks to clients. Robin clearly cannot handle polite rejection. Robin, take your own advice next time and don't reply just move on. read more

Absolute professionals from start to finish! I hired Robin to build out my boutique reformer Pilates studio, and I cannot recommend him highly enough. The craftsmanship, attention to detail, and execution of the design were flawless, helping us create a beautiful, luxe sanctuary for our clients. But what truly sets Robin apart from any other contractor is his unmatched integrity and dedication after the project is completed. Months after wrapping up the construction and successfully opening our doors, Robin has continued to be an incredible partner. Whenever a minor post-construction question pops up, or when I've needed historical paperwork untangled with property management, he is responsive, supportive, and steps up to help without hesitation. I appreciate you, Robin! read more

We had an excellent experience with Handyman Construction. They were able start within days of reaching out to them. We needed a shed roof repaired, roofing installed over a pergola, and flooring replaced in a shed. There was very good communication throughout. The wood on the pergola was degraded more than we initially thought so they were also able to reframe portions of it to make sure it would last. read more

I reached out to The Handyman since I saw the amazing reviews they had on Yelp. Communication was very quick and easy. I ended up having to reschedule the work on short notice due to the birth of my son. They were very understanding and I was able to get them out here to change a couple of bathroom faucets, replace a vanity and top, repair some molding in the kitchen, and install a mirrored medicine cabinet. I had also scheduled them to replace the kitchen sink and faucet, fixing the drywall, and installing the garbage disposal. There was some misunderstanding about the scheduled appointment, but I was very happy when they were able to get the team out to me later that same day. The faucets, medicine cabinet, vanity and top looked great. It was very late in the day so I had to schedule for them to finish fixing the wall since the old vanity was slightly bigger. Also, I had initially scheduled for them to replace the kitchen sink and faucet. Unfortunately, I purchased the wrong sink. So once we nailed down a day, the team came back out to finished repairing the wall in the bathroom, installing the new kitchen sink and faucet. I understand they're very busy and communication/scheduling had some hiccups. The final work product came out great overall. Some minor things I found to be a little dissatisfied with included leaving what appeared to be paint stains on the newly installed bathroom top. Couple spots where they missed painting under the medicine cabinet. I was also somewhat disappointed that they didn't ask me about the soap dispenser that came with the faucet. They just assumed I didn't want to use it since the only opening I had was for the air gap. I don't use the dishwasher so I wanted to have the soap dispenser go there. I tried looking for it and I couldn't find it, maybe they placed it out of my sight but it appeared to be that they put it in the truck. When I asked the worker about it he told me since I had the air gap there was nowhere to put it. I told him I don't need the air gap and I want the dispenser to go there. He retrieved the dispenser and installed it. Overall I was happy with the work done, but to be honest the communication and scheduling could've been better. All this work costed $2400 via Zelle. read more

Reached out to The Handyman for some carpentry services and spoke to Robin. He gave me a quote for services which seemed reasonable so we went ahead and booked a day to start the work. The day of work arrived and a couple gentleman named Dan and angel showed. I explained to Dan what wanted I wanted. The project was to remove to painted white posts that were ugly and crooked off my porch and wrap or rebuild them with stained cedar wood. Do to the crooked beams after a new concrete pour, Dan gave some great ideas about the build which was appreciated and they got started. They definelty did it the way I wanted with the materials I wanted. The quality of work was great, the communication was great and the job clean up was great. We have had our fair share of work done at our house and finding a contractor on Yelp is always a big hit or miss. We needed the exterior siding removed and the exterior wall pretty much rebuilt. We reached out to Robin for a quote. He responded promptly and came out that week to take a look at what we needed done. He was professional, knowledgable and honest. Robin's estimate was extremely competitive and he was upfront about the pricing. Robin's team was also excellent. They worked through the heat and did a great job. Robin communicated with us and kept us updated throughout the process. Couldn't have asked for a better experience. Robin and Nelson were really wonderful. I called Robin and got a great quote for changing our bathtub into a shower. He was able to start within a few days, and it only took them 6 days to get the whole project complete. They helped with making some great suggestions to make sure the shower turned out amazing. I appreciated that Nelson and his crew really paid attention to even the small details as they worked - like when they were patching up the wall at the end of the job, they took the time to match the texturing on the wall so it would look nice later. We're so happy with the finished shower, and appreciate their hard work. We'll definitely be reaching out for future projects! read more

I reached out to Robin at The Handyman due to all the 5-star reviews on Yelp. Our dusty musty garage was bare boned and stuffed to the rafters with junk. The goal was to create a space that would provide organization, as well as function as a comfortable space for our sons to hang out with their friends. A "teen cave" rather than a man cave. Mission accomplished! We love our new garage! The Handyman was not the first crew I reached out to, however, their quote was the most competitive and they were able to begin work immediately (unlike all the others I met with). As with any home improvement project, this one had a few bumps in the road. Problems were minimal and handled in a timely and professional manner. Dan is extremely knowledgable and made suggestions that not only saved money, but made the space work more efficiently and his cabinet installation crew are wonderful. They were so meticulous with their work, all cabinets and the counter top were installed beautifully. We couldn't be happier with how our garage turned out. Thanks to Robin and his crew for understanding what we wanted and helping to make it a reality. read more

I contacted The Handyman for a door repair and replacement last week, Robin was very responsive and gave us a reasonable quote for the job. He even helped us with selecting the door for the replacement. We scheduled the appointment for the job yesterday and the team of 3 showed up for the job timely. The handyman Nelson ended up ordering and picking up the door and other supplies to complete the job for us. The team was very respectful, skilled, professional, and they worked very hard the entire day to complete the job in one day. It's hard to find a good handyman, because they either go back into working as a contractor or they're in such high demand that they're never available. The Handyman solved these problems for me because they have a team and we're easy to schedule quickly. They came out yesterday and did the work as promised, installing a window air conditioner and doing a few small repairs. Jessy was friendly, professional, easy to work with, and did a quality job. I was also impressed because the air conditioner I had ordered was delivered two days late, so I had to postpone the job. Robin was understanding and handled it all with no complaints.
