My kids really wanted a swingset installed at my home but I really didn't have the space. Furthermore, many of the playsets online were pretty pricey and the materials they used were flimsy and cheap. I decided to look online on Pinterest and YouTube for pictures/ videos on custom swing sets using my 2 mature pine trees. I found the style I was looking for and submitted bids through Yelp. Here is what I found out about Mark: 1) Communication: He was first to respond to my request; he made sure to address all my questions and concerns in a timely manner. He was also confident in creating my swing set even though it was a custom made project. Everyone else I got bids from were hesitant or didn't want to take on the challenge. 2) Customer Service: He is prompt, punctual, friendly, sociable and respectful. He is open to listening to suggestions and will go the extra mile if needed to make the customer happy. 3) Price: The price was seriously very competitive and very reasonable. He is not going to Nicole and dime you and will let you know what the flat rate is. 4) Workmanship: By far super professional and he builds with accuracy, responsibility and most importantly with quality. 5) Swing Set: He came Day 1 to do an estimate and wrote out a detailed invoice to ensure on the price and what I wanted. Day 2 he came out to construct my swing set. Day 3 he came out to do some finishing touches and paint. 6) Recommendation: Highly recommended for all jobs around the house. I will be using him to create a custom tree house next! read more

Mark and his Son are the most honest, hard working and professional team. This is the second time I requested their help. I needed help with my water heater and they came on time, did a great job changing and replacing some old parts. He got all the parts that he needed and I appreciate that because I didn't have to go to Home Depot and try to figure out what I needed to buy. They cleaned the area and all old parts went to the trash. Very nice and clean work Mark and Matthew his Son are the best !!! I highly recommend them. It is very hard to find people you can trust and his prices are very reasonable. I keep their number in my contacts as my #1 Handyman. I recommended him to my Sister and her and her husband were very happy with his service. read more

Mark is great to work with. Had a few things done around the house and he ＆ his son did a nice job. I purchased cafe lighting and hired Mark to hang it up. He made sure it was secured properly at all points. Also purchased a barn door for my master bedroom's bathroom entry. The largest single door available in the style I wanted was 42'，the opening was 42"'. So Mark added a custom frame around the door to close up the extra space. Turned out great. Sometimes Mark can't come out on the weekends because he is quite busy, and we work all week so we've scheduled Mark during the week while we are not home. We feel very comfortable with Mark and his son being in our home when we aren't there. We have given him access to complete interior jobs multiple times. Very trustworthy and we def recommend them. They also clean up afterwards. read more

I've been looking for an all-around guy to help with projects around the house. We hired Mark to replace our old back wood door with a steel door. Mark was very responsive and his price was competitive. Based on this and the other great reviews on Yelp, we decided to hire him. He finished removing the old door and had the new door hung in a few hours. We have a stucco home and he was careful not to break the stucco. He also had to cut the stucco a few inches to make room for the new door height. We also had decorative molding around the outside of the door. He installed the interior and exterior molding, and even painted the outside molding to match. We were very pleased with the work. Would recommend him to others. Please be patient as there were times he wasn't able to respond as quickly as I'd like. No worries there, as he honored his price and the work was done very well. read more

Mark was fantastic! He was friendly, reliable, patient, and a perfectionist! I wanted to hang a large piece of macrame art on a high wall. The problem was, I didn't know if I wanted it centered from the wall to the banister, or centered from the wall to the door frame. I am very particular and can sometimes be hard to please, but Mark was very patient and modeled how the art would look in both positions. He took his time measuring everything out and the end result was BEAUTIFUL! Thanks Mark! read more

Mark is a true Professional! Great communication, on time, no job is too small. Thank you for the job well done!

Mark and his Son Mathew stopped by to hang a mirror and got the job done in no time and they even painted some damage that we previously did to the wall. They're both very efficient and professional and personable. I Took the opportunity while they were here and got some estimates on some other work that we want done. We definitely want to do more business with them in the near future. read more

Mark did a really good job and charged a reasonable price. He is very friendly and polite. When he first arrives, he would ask you to walk through the repairs you need and let you know how he plans to repair. Our handrail for the stair was kind of falling down because the wood that locked the handrail was worn out. It will be costly to replace the whole handrail system. I'm glad Mark found a creative solution to reinforce the handrail. He also replaced a sink for one of our bathrooms. The sink did not perfectly fit so he had to cut the concrete or whatever material it was. He tried to lower the noise the best he could. Overall, Mark did a very careful and neat job. I will recommend him. read more

Mark and his son did a wonderful job in our kitchen. They were prompt and professional to work with. Excellent service provided every time, without fail. We're a tattoo shop located in Covina. Naturally tattoo artists are just pretty dumb when it comes to anything other than tattooing but we still try to do things ourselves. That's where we fucked up. We try to have the apprentices do all our labor and handy work and they're even dumber than you're average dumb person. One day, we decided enough was enough and we need to have a normal door that works properly. Me, being one of the smarter people at the shop said we should hire a professional! That's when we found our savior Mark. God bless Mark. He's fixed our door problem and so much more. If it weren't for Mark we'd still be struggling Day in and day out trying to open and close our door. But no more. We have all agreed to call Mark for any and all troubles relating to handiness. Thank you!! read more

Mark and his son were amazing! I needed them to change out 7 door knobs and 3 of them were the Schlage brand which required great attention to detail and precision. They were extremely careful and made sure I understood how to set the codes before/after installation. Additionally, my front door previously had trouble closing all the way unless I pushed it with force and Mark was able to fix this headache for me. Needless to say, I am so grateful for their great work, professionalism, and friendliness. I would definitely recommend them to other Yelpers out there. read more

We contacted Mark from his reviews here on Yelp and we were not disappointed. He performed a high-wire act to mount a piece of artwork on a 23' wall. He followed up by installing a new outdoor lighting set and replacing the bulbs on our existing outdoor lighting. Mark was punctual, personable and very professional. He maintained contact, confirmed the appointment and performed the work expeditiously. Great find! read more

I had Mark come to my house to do a variety of little projects that I needed done to my condo. First of all Mark is very naand very professional. I accidentally gave him the wrong phone number which resulted in him sitting outside in his van for 30minuets in August and he wasn't angry about it at all. Sorry Mark I'm a dumb ass. Anyway I had him replace a porch light, replace a ceiling fan, replace a water exchange on a bath tub, fix a pocket door, hang two TP holders and fix the track on my mirrored wardrobe doors. Everything was fixed perfectly and he was even able to fix the existing track on the wardrobe doors so it didn't cost me anything for parts , the pocket door as well. I would definitely recommend Mark for any handyman needs you have. I didn't hear the word no out of him once and that's so nice. Will definitely use him again if I have any other work that needs to be done and I will recommend him to my friends and family Ok so I had Mark come back because I had a plug that stopped working. He made arrangements to meet me when I got off work and all it was was a plug in the other bathroom needed to have the switch thing pushed down. Mark was so nice and he didn't charge me anything for being a dumb ass !!! We did have a nice conversation about Shahs of Sunset ... Real men watch Bravo thanks again Mark I had to have Mark back to my house because I needed a bathroom faucet replaced. It was super easy to set up a day and time . Mark was right on time fixed my faucet super fast and the price was right. Mark is my go to handyman when things around here need repair. Thanks Mark hopefully I won't be needing you anytime soon but if something breaks around here I'll definitely give you a call to come back. Thanks so much Awesome job. read more

So far so good. Will definitely call back for another service call in the future. Pros: Easy to talk to and work with Tenant was happy Up front about pricing Fair cost Willing to take small job Cons: None read more

Mark seemed great when I first met him and his prices were fair. He gave me a quote of 1800.00 for work on a property, then he kept flaking out on showing up. Finally he came and wanted 1/2 the money to start. Then took a week to show up, put up a fence that is so weak and unprofessional. Then he never showed up to finish the rest of the work. Never returned calls or texts. Very disappointing, especially being a Real Estate Broker, you need people you can count on. read more

Such a pleasure to get a job done perfectly and in the time scheduled!!! I moved in a house that was just about perfect for my downsizing with the exception of the stairway to the basement, an accident waiting to happen! Had 2-3 handymen look at it and they offered no hope. Working with Mark we came up with a plan that was acceptable for me to spend $2500.00 and be happy with the results. I am very, very happy, and I sent blessings every time I go up or down those stairs. Professional, creative, punctual and reasonably priced!!! read more

If I could give more then 5 stars I would. I recently moved to Diamond Bar and am Leasing a House. I don't know how I can give two reviews separately so I am putting both down. I ended up hiring Mark 2 times and have him coming back for more work! Job 1 I needed a dog door installed into a Vinyl sliding glass door and a 50 inch. tv hung up. I just moved in and really wanted to get these done as soon as possible. Mark got back to me super fast with a quote that was more than fair! When Mark showed up he was clean, professional and went right to work. He got everything done super fast and made sure I was completely satisfied with his work. Mark even helped me get my 3 large dogs used to this new type of dog door. What a great man! Job 2 I asked Mark to come back again since I was having plumbing problems. I had two main issues. 1st. I had a bathtub with a really old handle and the handle kept spinning round and round but was hard to shut off or get a correct temperature. The stopper was also not working and the spout was absolutely disgusting! Mark went out to make sure we had the correct parts and was able to fix the tub. I was finally able to take a bath where it held water and also could turn on and off without any issues. Mark also fixed my leaking spouts on my washing machine. He did it in lighting speed. I had a problem with a new toilet that the owner of the house had installed. read more

Mark and his son Matt are awesome! Professional and friendly... easy to talk to, and I felt totally comfortable explaining just what I wanted re: the jobs that they completed for me. (Both have a great sense of humor!) So, today I am walking around my house and admiring their work from yesterday: love, love my new kitchen sink and I smile when I look at the two pieces of decorative wrought iron that are now hanging in my courtyard and on my front porch. My front gate now opens and closes easily and Mark fortified my redwood gate so that it is more sturdy and safe for my dogs. I now have working lights in my garage and can sit in a lounge chair that was given new bolts to keep it from tipping over. THEY DID SO MANY DIFFERENT THINGS! (Still getting used to seeing my stuff looking great and working properly!) I'm pretty sure that Mark and Matt can tackle almost any job out there. And we are already talking about what to do next. THANKS so, so much Mark! See you soon! read more

Mark and Matthew were amazing! I was looking for someone to build a side wooden gate and found Handyman Mark on Yelp. I texted Mark, and he responded right away. Mark came out to take measurements and gave me a very reasonable quote. Instead of a wooden gate, Mark suggested a wooden gate with an iron frame, so it's more durable. He sent me a picture of what it would look like and talked about the frame design. Mark is so detailed and sees things people don't usually see. In other words, you get the creative side of Mark with the job! Mark was able to build the frame at home and came out to install it once he completed the frame. Mark and Matthew took their time and worked until it was dark. Mark came back the next day and did some final touch-up. I am so pleased with my new gate! It's not easy to find someone like Mark, who not only provides excellent suggestions but is incredibly detailed! I already discussed my next project with Mark, and I strongly recommend Handyman Mark! read more

Mark's team helped install a fresh new kitchen faucet. Professional, kind, and diligent. Hi-5 guys!

Great experience with Mark from start to finish. Got back to me quick with a fair estimate, we scheduled an appointment, he was on time, professional and did a fantastic job hanging shelves onto our wall. I had previously tried to do it on my own and made the situation even worse (drilled one of the screws into the wall and broke the head off into the wall- that's just one example). So Mark and his son Mathew had to fix my mess and then do the hanging. When they came through the door, they immediately shook my hand, took their shoes off, assessed the situation and got to work and finished the job literally in no time at all. I couldn't believe they hung the shelves so fast. Completely professional job. The shelves look great and are as sturdy as they get. Thank you Mark and Mathew for a job well done. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for handyman work. And I will 100% be contacting them again for any future projects. read more

I am glad that I found Mark on yelp. Mark was responsive to my messages and quoted a reasonable pricing. He came on time with his teammates Matthew and Jeremy (his son and brother). They were very polite, introduced themselves and took off their shoes before coming into the house. I had a few things needed to be installed, so I showed them around where things were located first, then they start working on different areas. They helped me hung a few picture frames, wall shelves and a display rack in a room. Installed ring doorbell and two nest thermostats. Mark also guided me thru the setup for both the doorbell and thermostats, made sure they all worked on my apps. They also vacuumed the floor before they left. I love neat and clean job! I will definitely hire Mark and his team in the future when is needed. Thank you! read more
