After checking the attic, he also discovered some problematic wiring and conditions involving the subpanel. He recommended running new wiring and replacing a damaged breaker in the attic panel, which would not only fix the problem but provide a much safer setup and help prevent potential hazards like an electrical fire. The price was fair, and the work took about two hours, just as he estimated. He worked diligently the entire time without taking a break. I honestly felt bad for him being up in our attic because it had to be easily 120° up there! I offered him water throughout the job, which he graciously accepted. Before leaving, Daniel also gave me an estimate to upgrade our existing breaker box. That price seemed very reasonable as well, especially compared to estimates I've received from other companies in the past. Overall, great experience. Daniel was professional, knowledgeable, friendly, and got the problem taken care of. We'll definitely be reaching out to Nick' Electric again for future electrical repairs and other work. Jonathan came out and confirmed that that was indeed true. Everything seemed to be going well. Jonathan was very friendly and polite. When it came time for the estimate, he told me it was going to be just under $3,000. That seemed like quite a lot to me for just changing out a blower motor and a capacitor. He also told me that my Rheem furnace couldn't take just any old blower motor and he had to order one special. He said that his company doesn't deal with Rheem because their parts are hard to get. I reluctantly agreed to the repair, which he said would probably take place the next day. Later, he called and said the part wasn't going to arrive for a whole week. This was during one of the hottest weeks of the year in Southern California and I certainly didn't want to be without air conditioning, which runs through my furnace and needs the blower motor. I asked him what my other options were. He told me the only other option I had was to get a whole new system. He explained that he could install the system in only 2 days time or I could wait a whole week and have him repair the blower motor. He also mentioned a 10 year warranty with 1 or 2 years of service from his company. I asked him about the brand and quality of the Furnace that he intended on selling me, which was going to be almost $8,000. He told me it was better than my current system brand and I asked to get it in writing so I could do some research. After not receiving anything in writing I called his company and requested the same thing from them. Shortly after the conversation with his company I received an email specifying the make and model of the new furnace. I researched online and discovered a few interesting things. Number one, Jonathan had lied to me about Rheem parts. I found out from my online research that Reem takes Universal parts and I would not have had to wait until the next week to receive a blower motor that would fit. I also discovered that blower motors and capacitors cost nowhere near $3,000 to install. And finally, the brand of the new furnace that was recommended by Jonathan was nowhere near the quality of the Rheem furnace that I already owned. I canceled the job immediately with the company and again with Jonathan when he called me to find out what was going on. I am still waiting for my refund on the deposit! My contractor friend and I went to an HVAC store and purchased a universal blower motor and capacitor for $180... and installed it ourselves in a couple hours. The system is working perfectly. I don't recommend this business at all. I'm completely confused on why they have such a good rating on Yelp, which is why I picked them to begin with. This was a clear case of trying to take advantage of an old lady in a wealthy neighborhood. Shame on them!! Update: I received a full refund of my deposit and the service fee was completely waived. I got a nice apology from the owner and a manager.

My husband and I hired Inception to rewire our 1924 home and add some new lights and outlets back…read morein 2020. The worked on our home during March but then finished in August due to some of the city shutdowns. At first, there were some minor issues, such as their new hires trying to avoid installing an outlet for a security camera (it was in the attic so the camera could be outdoors above the main entrance). After everything, we noticed that several mistakes were made, such as the two switches at the front were both connected to the outdoor lights, making the separate functions for the living room light and the outdoor lights pointless. We had to always leave the switches on and then find a light that could work with additional device switches. There was also an issue like this on one of the switches in the kichen, where we don't have separate control over the two different floodlights in the backyard and driveway. Annoying, but we dealt with it because we knew Marco had some new hires during the pandemic and things were just chaotic at the time. I am coming back after 6 years to leave this review because a couple of years ago, we noticed our lights would flicker. It has become worse and is now at the point where we cannot run power tools for working in our garage. We have had to request two second opinions on the electrical work to see what is going on, and both have shown that Marco's rewire was not what we paid for nor was it done well. Some of the electrical wiring was not replaced when we were charged $4500 for replacing all the wiring (we did all the patching on the walls and along with some additional outlets, which saved some money, and the full price was $4800). Marco and the guys he hired also left some of the kitchen wiring in tact that should have been replaced (even though it wasn't knob and tube, it was around 20-30 years old, and I had specifically requested for everything to be new given the poor state of the home from the previous owner who rented it out). The second opinions are certain that most of the wiring they can see in the panel and in the attic are much older than 6 years. We have also identfied the main problem as being with how the rewire was done. Far too many wires were bound together and distributed unevenly into the electrical box. Over several years, the wires are generating too much heat due to the poor techinque of how so many wires were bundled together and run to the same sections of the electrical panel. We are facing another expensive bill of thousands of dollars to make sure our home does not have fire risk and that we can run basic tools and appliances without any issues. The fact that he and his guys did not take a woman homeowner seriously from the start with some of the smaller things should have been enough of a red flag to fire them before they caused the damage they have. My husband mostly worked with them to try to get them to listen to us, but in the end, their work was shoddy and as family, friends, and consultants have explained to us, their sloppy work is the type that won't have issues until late enough that most people won't realize it was their fault. What a scam. And now that I see on other Yelp reviews that Marco sold the company, I wonder why he sold it. If Marco is still out there doing work, I'd avoid him just as much as it seems everyone should avoid Trout or the new buyers.

Anson investigated the problem and concluded it was the circuit breaker. He showed us how to listen carefully and hear the buzzing noise coming from the kitchen light circuit breaker. Anson noted that while our 37 year old circuit breaker (original with the house) panel was not on the "must replace" list, it was worth considering replacing the panel with a newer model that met today's stricter safety standards. This was sage advice so we engaged Anson to replace the entire circuit breaker panel. Anson replaced the circuit breaker and some of the associated garage electrical wiring and outlet over two days. Then, his stucco team came in and blended the new stucco so perfectly with the original stucco you could not tell where the original stucco ended and the new stucco started. Days later, once the stucco had completely dried, his painters perfectly matched the surrounding paint. Aside from the fact that there is a shiny brand new circuit panel box in our wall, you would never know any work had been done. Anson, his stucco team, and his painters worked their magic. We are 100% satisfied and pleased with the work performed by Anson and his team and his pricing is fair and competitive. We heartily recommend San Dimas Electric and will call them without hesitation for any future electrical needs.

**** WARNING **** ** FRAUD ALERT **…read moreDo not use All Handyman Service! Let me say upfront that Dennis, the handyman that showed up to complete several small house projects, was very good. He contacted me before he showed up, understood what I wanted done, completed the projects to my complete satisfaction (and delight), and was very friendly. The back office operations and employees are a nightmare. And, I might suggest, are borderline fraudsters. They attempted to fraudulently bill me for material that they did not use on any of my projects. And they attempted to way overcharge me for materials they did use. They refused over and over to provide an itemized list of materials that they were billing me for. Then they told me their Accounting department would only provide detail if I paid an "admin" fee, and that they would charge me a late payment fee if I didn't pay before they left the office for the day. After I threaten legal action, their system was miraculously able to produce a material list. More than 2/3 of the listed materials were not needed or used on my projects. Then when I asked what hardware store was used where they purchased the over priced materials, they said they had those materials in their inventory. For "privacy and business purposes" they would not disclose any detail or pricing information on the material in their inventory. Employees Stacy and Ana lied to me over and over. They attempted to commit fraud and when they were caught and questioned about it, they continued to "double down" on the fraud. I happily had already paid for all labor and was just requesting a list of the items used on my project. Ultimately, they removed all material charges from my bill although I was more than happy to pay any and all real material costs. This business is not legitimate. In my case, they attempted to commit fraud multiple times. I have documentation of all correspondence between myself and All Handyman Service should anyone want to verify the substance of this Yelp review. I am not sure it would help resolve anything because it was their management that was dishonest, refused to show an itemized material list, and then, when forced, produced a list that contained materials that were not used or needed or purchased. I reached out on yelp and he promptly provided a quote and day he could arrive at my house. Ideally this job should have been fairly easy, however I also have a heavy duty metal outside door that covers the sliding glass door which he also had to take off in order to get the sliding glass door panels off. Let me tell you this was a struggle as the wheels on the sliding glass door were old, rusted, and contained a ton of debris inside them that made it difficult to take off. It took him alot longer than anticipated due to these issues but he kept his calm and resolve and continued to dredge through. After he got done cleaning, greasing, and putting the door back on he was not happy with the results. I told him it was better than it was but he was still not content. He instead decided to also change out the wheels which made all the difference. This thing glides so smoothly and I could not be happier. I have nothing but good things to say as this potential 2 hour job turned into about 4 hours and he didn't even attempt to try and upcharge. I gave him the extra on my accord as he had been awesome to work with and was determined to make it great not just good enough. Will definitely hire him in the future when there is a project a need assistance with.
