We did an extensive remodel of our entire downstairs, including the kitchen and adding built-ins to our Family Room. All workers were clean and professional. We had a tight timeframe and they met the deadline. Hostetler Contruction listened to our requests and made communication a priority. Bryan sends weekly emails outline what has been done, the plan for the upcoming week, and then invites feedback. Have recommended Hostetler to others and would use them again in the future. read more

Spoke with Bryan on Thursday(?) He had his concrete guy on our site to find out what we wanted the very next week (just a few days later) and our beautiful wall was built Monday/Tuesday. I couldn't believe how fast his sub worked or how quickly our my vision was turned into reality! Seeing it out the window, it feels like the final piece to our interior remodel! We have been so entirely pleased with Hostetler Construciton and his team! They make it happen, the right way for a good price. read more

Hostetler Construction - The only other angle I could think of - General Contractors Near Me - Upland, California

Very grateful for the opportunity to have met Bryan Hostetler owner of Hostetler Construction. Me and my wife Autumn wanted to build an ADU in our backyard here in the city of Glendora. I reached out to six or seven different contractors, who do this type of work. NOTE: I am a very detailed contractor myself, so there was a lot of boxes that needed to be checked off in the interviewing process for the choice to be clear. We knew this was going to be an expensive project, making the right choice was very important. Bryan and his company was the clear choice for us, and I was confident we would all work well together. On Bryan's very first appointment, he came with the architect, designer Surge Mayer to navigate us right out the gate exactly what was and what wasn't possible. Surge and his team were on top of things, getting right to work. After a few months, going back-and-forth of what I was allowed to build per the setback, lot coverage, and easements? We picked a design that worked for our property and our needs. The city of Glendora took about seven months to get everything 100% approved. Surge and Bryan were on top of things checking in with the city and making any needed adjustments to keep the permitting process moving along. Through great communication once a permit was 100% approved. Bryan broke ground relatively quick. For about two months every single week there were workers scheduled at our house every day Monday through Friday and sometimes on Saturday. Bryan or his on-site Project Manager kept us informed every step of the way of what was gonna take place and if there were any changes that need to be made. They were very few change orders per the size of this job, most of them Brian let us know in advance that these may take place. So we were not surprised. The entire ADU took about 3 to 4 months from breaking ground to having the entire thing complete. like clockwork, the cruise were here on time and we're very consistent in their workflow, when necessary, Bryan would meet me early in the morning to go over any details with his Project Manager's or trade, Specialist. Of course, in construction, you're going to have little things pop up here and there, but their communication for any of that was definitely on point. Communication was one of the more important things I was looking for. Bryan is teamed up with years of relationships with very experienced concrete foundation teams, plumbers, roofers, drywaller's, custom cabinet guys, electricians, HVAC. Of course, I've got to mention the guys that stood out the most to me: (Demo) George & Nick (Framing) Jose & his son (Tile) Moises (Tile Floor) Jesse & Pablo (Drywall) Mike (Cabinets) Doug (Finish) Paco, Josiah (Trash PU) Nick. Trust me there was plenty more gentlemen than just a few I named that all did an amazing job. They showed up on time, they cleaned up after themselves, and they were very respectful to our property and our neighbors. Brian has a very well oiled machine and a really good team that goes above and beyond day and day out. Project: 872 ft.² ADU two bedroom two bath, master bedroom, big enough for a king bed, walk-in closet with custom shelving , built in custom desk with cabinets above, , pantry, with all appliances, would look tile flooring throughout, three mini split AC systems, bathtub, and guest bathroom, walk-in shower, and master. Custom shower doors, stackable, washer, and dryer with cabinets up above. Three ceiling fans, plenty of LED lights, plenty of lighting in both bathrooms, two spotlights on the side of the house with a three-way switch from the front and back door. Stubbed out plumbing for future water softener. Three external hose bibs for water, plenty of outlet outlets on the outside. Matching our current home perfectly. Bryan, Thank you very much for taking on our project, thank you very much for your passion, attention to detail, communication, and work side-by-side with me and my wife to achieve something very beautiful on our property. For sure it was a positive experience. To anyone out there, looking for a reliable, honest, experienced Contractor will navigate you every step of the way with great communication? Hostetler Construction is a great choice, hands-down, one of the best experiences I've had hiring professionals. Thank you kindly for allowing me to share my experience Positively Mike S read more

Hostetler Construction is professional, detailed, thorough, and ON-TIME! Bryan came out, looked at our space, helped us flesh out our ideas, and then his crew came to work. Our project manager Eric communicated with us every day regarding who was coming, when they were coming, and what the plan for the day was. The workers were on time every morning, super polite and courteous, fairly quiet (considering it's construction and we both work from home), and cleaned up after themselves at the end of every day. Even with some additions to the original plan, things got finished on time. Post-construction, we found a few minor things and Eric came out himself to take care of them. Highly recommend Hostetler Construction for any home renovation work you need done! read more

Hostetler Construction - General Contractors Near Me - Upland, California

As a registered engineer, construction manager, and real estate investor with over 30 years of experience, I've had the opportunity to work with dozens of contractors. Over time, I've developed a strong ability to distinguish between truly professional, trustworthy, and fair contractors--and those who fall short. When I first met Bryan of Hostetler Construction, I was immediately impressed by his knowledge, experience, and professional approach. Based on these qualities, I selected him and his team over other contractors for the extensive renovation of our 75-year-old property in Upland. The project involved a comprehensive overhaul, including demolition, reconstruction of interior walls, and complete renovations of the kitchen, bathroom, electrical, plumbing, flooring, and more. One of the most critical aspects of this renovation was identifying and addressing the challenges that naturally come with an older home, while implementing the most modern and effective solutions available today. Bryan and his dedicated crew delivered high-quality, professional work and skillfully managed the inevitable adjustments that arise in any complex renovation. Their workmanship met all requirements and fully met my expectations. On a personal note, I found Bryan to be exceptionally professional, responsible, and deeply committed to the quality of his work. He takes great pride in what he does, and he was a pleasure to collaborate with throughout the project. I'm very pleased with the final result and firmly believe I made the right decision in selecting Hostetler Construction. Based on this excellent experience, I enthusiastically recommend Bryan and the entire Hostetler Construction team. read more

Bryan was very communicative about any updates and changes being made and just checking in on us. All of his team members were kind, friendly, and professional. They do a great job of respecting your space and time. We were extremely happy about the finished results and we would highly recommend going with Hostetler Construction for your remodeling needs! read more

We couldn't be more thrilled with Hostetler Construction. From our initial communication through the completion of our transformative project, the professionalism, care, craftsmanship and artesian spirit with which Bryan's entire team showed up every day was superlative. We'd be remiss not to mention the person responsible for creating the foundation for the entire project. The profound expertise of our Architect, Serge Mayer, of Woodruff Mayer Architecture with whom Bryan acquainted us, executed the design exactly as we described our vision. We wanted a carport addition and driveway approach to the front of our home that appeared to have been there since 1948, when our home was built. And that is precisely what we got. The common theme from all comments we've received. "It looks as though it's always been there!" We could go on too long with all of the details that impress us about EVERYONE who made our vision a reality. The photos tell a much more descriptive story... read more

If you've stumbled onto reviews for Hostetler Construction Inc because you are looking for a contractor, stop, read, and do your self a favor and meet with the owner, Bryan.. I guarantee you have finished your search for a contractor if your project is in his scope of work. Working with Hostetler Constriction Inc. was one of the best decisions we've ever made. Please allow me to explain. Planning to build an ADU is no small feat. We interviewed six contractors prior to making our decision. Bryan, the owner of Hostetler Construction Inc came to do the original bid. Let me preface this with some context. We were building this ADU for my aging mother. So when one contractor (NOT Hostetler) says are you ok with cutting corners (to reduce pricing), my thought was, no sir I have no idea what that even entails, so no that is not OK. Auto redflags! Hostetler Construction Inc was not the most expensive and to be honest not the cheapest option. So why did we go with Hostetler Constriction Inc? To be completely upfront, something in my gut said this is the one. I know that's crazy, but I'm serious. The owner, Bryan's approach, didn't feel rehearsed, it was simple and to the point, realistically presented, the calm nature in his presentation was reassuring. He wasn't trying to sell me anything, he was simply bidding the job we presented. From the time we finished the bid meeting with Bryan, we knew he was the one. Now, could we have been wrong, certainly, but luckily we weren't. From the time we broke ground to completion, this company, the owner Bryan, the foreman Parker and, all of his teams were literally my rock, sounding board, you name it, they were on it. I try to be practical, especially in what many of us stepping into a relm we have never experienced, feel as crucial moments in our lives. Building an ADU, the steps that entails and the costs associated with such a venture, this is intimidating. Hostetler made this process as user friendly as a guide for Microsoft windows for dummies manual. Were there issue that popped up along the way, well yeah, because we built a house. It's to be expected. Did they minimize any impact to us, yes, exponentially. Regardless if issues that required our interaction or were simple fixes, they owned the process. From foundation pour to framing, plumbing, electrical etc. each team was meticulous in their process. I was fortunate enough to be there physically step by step. I can not articulate high enough praise for what this company accomplished. If you are lucky enough to hire Hostetler Construction Inc for your project, I promise you will not be disappointed with the ending results. Good luck to you on your future endeavors! read more

About three years ago, we experienced a flood and interviewed at least 12-15 contractors before deciding on one. In the end, we took a chance, knowing that no matter how many good reviews a contractor has, what truly matters is the experience we receive. We are so pleased to have hired Bryan and his team to rebuild our home! As a licensed contractor, Bryan is a pleasure to work with--prompt, responsive, respectful, and efficient. He has a keen eye for selecting his staff; every team member is phenomenal. From the project manager, painter to the tile specialist, everyone worked seamlessly together. We had to pause construction for a week due to an unexpected slab leak. Bryan was incredibly patient, understanding, and accommodating, finding ways to work around our hectic schedule and the delays caused by the plumber. The workmanship and the attention to detail that Hostetler Construction showed were impressive. They turned my damaged home into a beautiful and comfortable space. The pricing was reasonable for the service and quality they provided. We have recommended Hostetler to our neighbors, family, and friends who need a reliable and trustworthy contractor. They exceeded our expectations in every aspect of the project. read more

Hostetler Construction redid the faulty work done by a previous contractor so that the zero-threshhold shower floor in our master bath now drains as it should. No more fear of slipping and falling! Manny is, as well, reliable and personable. An all around positive experience. Hostetler Construction did an outstanding job! read more

I just finished a project with Hostetler Construction. Researching for a contractor to do a bathroom remodel is daunting, overwhelming and downright scary. I researched on and off for a couple of years, and during this time, Hostetler Construction continued to show up in my search. I finally made a decision and invited Bryan Hostetler and another contractor to give me bids. Both had good reviews, but I eventually chose Hostetler. My final decision was based on various factors, one of them obviously being price which also included some items in the base price that were not included in the other bid. I don't feel that I sacrificed any quality by selecting the lower bidder; I got a quality remodel while saving a few bucks. I am very, very happy with how it turned out. Bryan has been very patient. There were a couple of things I was passionate about, and he accommodated me. Thanks Bryan . His crew members were beyond exceptional. All were consummate professionals in their craft. They had full access to my house while I was away during the day at work, and I was never uneasy about leaving them alone. They were communicative with me describing the progress that was made that day. They worked efficiently and cleaned up at the end of each day as though they were not coming back. Bryan estimated 2-3 weeks (no weekend work per my request), hoping to get it done in 2. They did it in 2 weeks + 1 day. Outstanding! An additional positive was that change orders were minimal. Being that I also work in a different area of construction, I know that change orders can add up and rattle a project. Thanks Bryan, Eric, Paco, Pedro and Moises for your exemplary work and work ethic. I couldn't be happier! read more

We're really glad we chose Hostetler Construction for our project. In fall 2024, we did a 320 sq foot addition that included a laundry room, office nook, and walk-in closet. The whole experience for us was 5-star. Bryan was straightforward and honest with the quote and time it would take to finish our project. He and his team are very polite and professional, very capable and their attention to detail was fantastic. They took really good care of our home and we are so happy with the end result! Communication was excellent! Bryan was involved with our project from beginning to end. He gave us weekly updates and always contacted us asap when there was something unexpected or a home owner decision needed to be made. Having Bryan manage our project made the whole experience less stressful for us. Even after work was completed, my mom wanted a couple minor things done and Bryan addressed them right away. TOP NOTCH CONTRACTOR ALERT!!! It's hard to find a good contractor. I've experienced the work done by an excellent contractor, an average contractor, and a terrible contractor in the past. This time around we were very lucky to find Bryan at Hostetler Construction to complete our master bathroom project. Bryan falls into the category of an excellent contractor. He was honest, upfront, and clear about the cost, expected timeline, and details of the work he and his crew would be completing. Bryan provided us with a detailed quote. He came over and sat down with us explaining each part of the quote and the type of work to be done and parts/materials that would be needed for each area. He provided a timeline for the completion of the job and explained his crew would be working up to six days a week. Once we signed the contract and the work began, Bryan's communication was great. He would call or text us to constantly keep us up to date on the following day's work schedule. His employees were friendly, always on time, took pride in their work, and always cleaned up at the end of the day. There was an issue with the shower tile after it was installed. The issue was the fault of the manufacturer. When we notified Bryan he sent his tile guy back out to fix the issue immediately. Overall, it was a great experience. The bathroom turned out even better than we imagined. We will be calling Bryan for any future home remodels. This review is way past due - but better late than never! We used Hostetler Construction to remodel our guest bathroom which we had planned for quite some time. We researched our project and got estimates from 5 different contractors - four of which we found on Yelp. Brian came to our home and provided a thorough review, took measurements, answered questions and came back with a bid two days later. While Brian's estimate wasn't the lowest, we found it to be the most detailed and thorough of all. He included a To-Do List, an actual daily schedule of work to be completed and an employee/subcontractor schedule. We chose Brian & Hostetler Construction because of these great first impressions and his warm personality and he did not disappoint. We found him and his crew to be honest and hard working. Whenever an unexpected issue arose, we discussed it and the possible options & solutions. The project took a little longer than we had planned but we knew of this going in. Good contractors, my experience has taught me, are hard to find because usually the same clients & their referrals use them over and over. Brian is one of these guys and his work schedule reflects that. We would recommend Hostetler Construction to others! This review is way past due - but better late than never! We contacted Hostetler Construction in order to remodel our master bath and guest bathroom. My wife and I highly recommend Hostetler Construction to anyone looking for a good contracting company for home renovations and upgrades. We recently completed upgrades to our 30+ year old master bathroom and bedroom. Bryan and his teams were amazingly prompt when showing up for work, paid amazing attention to detail, even pointing out some things that I might consider which I hadn't considered before when trying to figure out what to do for my Master Bath / Shower, and they were always polite. I was particularly impressed that they were considerate enough to lay down protective covering on our floors, and created barriers to isolate their work area from the rest of the house, and they cleaned up every day after themselves. The cost of the project fell into the range that I expected, and even when I made multiple requests for other additional things to be done and add to the project, Bryan was able to accommodate me on the fly. Having done several major home repairs (for other past projects), I have dealt with a number of other contractors in the past, and I'd say that Hostetler Construction is truly the best crew I've worked with, and would not hesitate to use them again. read more

We consider ourselves very fortunate to have chosen Hostetler Construction to build a one- bedroom ADU on our property in Upland for our adult son. We strongly recommend Hostetler Construction for home construction and ADU projects. Our ADU process was straightforward, transparent and honest; congenial from start to finish. Inevitably, various surprises emerged when the digging began, but everything was taken care of, and the project did not stall. We are extremely happy with the ADU, which looks awesome in the back yard, and is filled with every important detail and IT upgrade that our millennial son (who is a teacher) required. Working with Hostetler Construction, and especially given Bryan's personal involvement and close consultation every step of the way, was priceless. He understood that we needed detailed explanations, and he patiently provided them, sometimes more than once. Bryan's team management skills are outstanding. He has hired a group of extremely capable, pleasant, and hard-working individuals who exude the ethic of optimal teamwork and are great multi-taskers. The Hostetler Construction crew also deserves great praise. Each member of his crew is professional, knowledgeable, exceedingly competent, very polite - and super pleasant to have in our backyard for several months. They were excellent communicators, all of them. The Hostetler Construction management and crew are honest and forthright. They began the project on time, and it was finished on time. Despite the hard work, some of which took place in the middle of a very hot summer with high temperatures, Bryan and his team worked well with each other at a rapid pace. They were also always available to answer questions and problem solve when pre-existing issues came to the fore that had not been included in the contract. We would like to comment on the phenomenal camaraderie we witnessed at Hostetler Construction. The crew clearly like their jobs, they are thriving professionally and personally, and they are very loyal to the firm and its clients. Three outstanding employees at Hostetler Construction deserve to be singled out: 1. Parker, the overall manager of the project, is knowledgeable, calm, and a 'thinker.' Trained as a plumber and electrician, he thrives on accuracy and thoughtfulness. An excellent communicator. He is often seen consulting the maps and the design of the project, making phone calls, solving problems, and ensuring that everything goes smoothly. He was the first person to arrive and the last person to leave. He even advised us on our sprinkler system as a courtesy. 2. Noah is a very capable young man, fit, energic, and extremely pleasant. He is the deputy manager of the project. Trained as an electrician, roofer, and knowledgeable about plumbing, he is an expert on framing and putting up walls. Like many other members of Bryan's team, he does all jobs, big or small. When we saw Noah entering the scene, we knew immediately that a special skill was needed that day. He is called for particular jobs, jobs that require Noah to do that task and to solve that problem. 3. Eric has an outstanding, dynamic personality; a smile does not leave his face even in 100-plus degree temperatures. An excellent multi-tasker and communicator, he worked fast and hard, both inside and outside of the ADU structure. A good problem-solver; his expertise includes electricity and plumbing; he can fix or repair just about anything. Eric is known as "Magic Eric" as he works as a magician and solves any difficult problems. He is extremely pleasant and cheerful. Bassam and Aleta read more

Hostettler Construction just completed building a free-standing one-bedroom/one-bath ADU behind our house. We are totally satisfied with the work Bryan, his crew and subs did on our project. Bryan distinguished himself from the field of other recommended builders we spoke with by being very proactive- asking to visit the property on our first phone call, taking the time to understand what we wanted and the nature of the site. With the full understanding that we were considering other builders, Bryan took the time to prepare a preliminary budget for the project, which was extremely helpful. We clearly made the right decision in hiring Hostettler Construction for our project. Bryan initially estimated the project would be completed three months after beginning construction. In fact the project was totally completed and passed all final inspections in two months and ten days! Bryan is very well organized and has an excellent crew and group of subs. Three months later, we still had not found a contractor that we were comfortable with or that we felt was trustworthy, so we called Bryan Hostetler back again. You could tell by speaking with Bryan that he runs an honest business with the focus on good customer service. Hostetler Construction is in high demand and still made time for our home repair project. We cannot say enough about Bryan Hostetler's outstanding hands on approach and communication during the entire process. The attention to detail, weekly check-ins and fair pricing was a true breath of fresh air. Our project was completed as projected and it is absolutely beautiful!!! We would also like to give a special thank you, to the professional and courteous team assigned to our project-job well done!!! read more

This review is way overdue but better late than never! Boy what a great experience we had with Hostetler Construction! From the very beginning, Bryan heard the vision my wife and I wanted for our project, and executed it to perfection from beginning to end! To start, the bid he gave was very fair and right in the budget we were looking for. He recommended an architect to use which we did and he was also great to work with. Let the project begin. I've never had a contractor communicate and follow through on exactly what they told me was going to happen daily. Bryan and his team did! Weekly updates or more if needed. Team was here everyday that they were scheduled to be here! Very polite to my family while working here, along with maintaining a high level of cleanliness during the project. The quality of work was top notch I was impressed! They finished well within the expected timeline that was given to me. I know that picking contractors can be sometimes tricky for a lot of different reasons. Give Bryan and his team a try! You won't be disappointed! I found my contractor for all future projects for my home small or big! read more

If I could give 10 stars I would. I can not stress how stress free this project was for my family and I. The entire crew from beginning to end were professional, clean, punctual, honest and respectful of our home. My husband and I just moved into our mini fixer upper and the first project on our list was our hallway bathroom. The work is impeccable (see for yourself in the before and after photos). Hostetler Construction truly brought my vision to life with all promises kept at a fair price. I'm looking forward to our next and future projects. Thank you again Guys. Great job! read more

Bryan and his team are awesome! Bryan kept me informed during the entire project and was very competitive with his bid. He stayed on budget and he was in constant communication on when his crew would show up and the progress being made on our project. He was able to quickly resolve a minor issue that came up quickly and to our satisfaction. All of the subcontractors were great and professional. I will be hiring Bryan and his team in the future for any home improvement work. Thank you for being one of the few honest and reliable contractors out there! read more
