Last week I scheduled an appointment for Tuesday at 8am. On the day of the appointment, 8:30 rolled around and no show. I sent the owner a text. His reply "oh sorry, I'm out of town. The trip was extended due to weather. I don't have internet, so can't see the schedule." Odd. I would have thought a professional business person would plan ahead. If your cell phone works for texting, I'm sure you have some sort of internet on your phone... All be it slow. Just say you forgot. Honestly would have helped me consider rescheduling. Disappointing because he came recommended by our plumber. I used 2 hours of my PTO for the missed appointment. Really frustrating. My wife and I were searching Yelp for someone to install a new mirror in our downstairs bathroom (it had came crashing down on accident when our security system was being installed by ADT, I still love ADT). We called a few other contractors and handymen to give us estimates but no one wanted to take the job probably because they figured it was too small. They did not know that I am a real estate investor with several homes in the area that could provide them with projects/jobs for years to come. By far Matt is my favorite thing (person) I've discovered on yelp. When our old handyman retired I was in a panic. While my husband and I have many talents neither of us can hang a picture straight or put together new furniture requiring assembly without killing each other. I contacted Matt via yelp to complete a loft into a bedroom conversion. His team did a great job, and he truly takes pride in his work.
