They have the best onion rings I have ever had! Big pieces and lightly battered make them amazing! So juicy when you bite into them. They use whole onion rings too not minced. Another delight are their grass fed burgers. I feel healthy eating them afterI have indulged in the onion rings. read more

Wow, I have no idea why the ratings aren't higher for this place. We don't go super often, but the burgers are always mouth-watering. Today I tried the CEO for the first time and OH MY GOD. It was delicious and worth the $10 & change price tag. Fries are just ok., but the burgers make everything ok. More than ok. I highly recommend this place. And there's beer too! I see a lot of the people complaining are not happy with the prices. This is high quality beef people, not that garbage you get at McDonald's or even most table service restaurants. It's nothing amazing. I got the fried chicken sandwich along with urban fries and an Oreo shake. The best part was the shake, I'd come here just to get that again. Everything was a little pricey which would be fine if it was a good sandwich. It tasted cheap and sad like a fast food burger. While eating I thought it was strange/odd that they had discovery channel on the TV's playing naked and afraid... watching dirty naked people run around a forest isn't the most appetizing. Also, people with peanut allergies should know that everything they make contains peanut oil. Probably wouldn't come back here or recommend it, except for the shake. read more

My family and I have been coming to Burgerfi for the longest time, almost since the day it opened! The last couple of visits I have been noticing a decline in service, attentiveness from the employees, and just cleanliness of the establishment. We came in yesterday while it was super slow and barely anyone there. There must of been two other people eating there.It took 26 minutes to receive our food. I was completely shocked by the prep time for two burgers, one kids hot dog, and fries. I understand if the restaurant was busy, but we were the only ones there. The employees looked miserable and not happy to be there as well. I have steadily seen a decrease in this place and the amount of time they prepare the food takes longer and longer every time. The food itself was good and the only reason we return. I am not sure we will return after this visit however. I am extremely disappointed from my last visit with the lack of customer service. read more

Well, lets add another one to the on going list of "Gourmet Burger" joints in the area. My particular meal consisted of the following: BurgerFi Cheeseburger w/ bacon, Cry & Fries (3 Large Onion Rings & Fries), and a bottle of Fanta. Total bill was around $16. That's a lot for a burger & fries. These "gourmet" places wouldn't be so bad if they didn't feel the need to charge higher prices for a burger. The food itself was pretty good. Rip off. I went there with my sister and we each had a double cheeseburger, shared a regular order of fries and an order of onion rings, drinks for both, and we split a Wagyu beef hot dog. The total was in excess of $30. Now, I do not mind paying good money for good food, but this was far from good. Cheeseburgers: 2.5 stars. They were OK, but kind of bland, like they had been overcooked or they had suffered some freezer burn. Fries: 2 stars. Started out OK, but as the meal went on and the cooled down, they became really unappetizing. A good fry should last the entire meal. Onion Rings: 1 star. The batter was very bland and boring, and the onions did not have even the smallest amount of bite to them. Also, the thickness of the onion was inconsistent. A couple were really thick slices and very unappetizing because there was no flavor to it. I only knew it was an onion because it was an onion ring. Thick and chewy and bland is no way to go through life as an onion ring. 100% Wagyu Kobe Beef Dog: Yeah, I think that they should be tested. Did not taste like Wagyu Beef, and actually tasted like there was pork in there. Also had a kind of off-putting, almost chemical flavor. Not a good dog. For what we paid I would have preferred to have driven into Chicago and gone to Select Cut Steak House for a steak burger with an order of steak fries. It would have been cheaper and tasted a lot better. For $30+ for burgers I want my socks to be blown off. The only thing blown off was me off the toilet later that night when I got the runs. In short, go to Jewel and buy some preformed all-beef burgers and a bag of frozen fries. It will be better than this place. read more

I am really happy a place that serves "comfort food" that is actually healthy, or healthier than everywhere else that serves burgers, hot dogs and fries, has opened near my company. The beef is hormone-free and grass-fed. There are no chemicals and nothing to be worried about here (unless of course you eat this every day and clog your arteries). But it's almost guiltless as a 28-year-old to have one of these every now and then. The burgers are smaller than what you would expect, especially since the price is higher than normal, but you are paying for the quality versus quantity. They also have a burger for vegetarians made out of quinoa (only grain that is a complete protein) which I am going to try next. The quality of hot dogs is also quite high, following the same hormone-free theme. In fact, they have a Waygu Kobe Beef Dog, which has got to be out of this world. I love how not only is the food better for the world and environment, but the chairs are made out of recyclables coke bottles and the fans use less electricity than regular fans. This is definitely a Burger Joint of the future. The integrity of this place will keep me coming back here. read more

We stopped at Burgerfi after my daughters dance class. The menu doesnt list a kids meal but i asked and was handed a wet and already colored (used) kids menu. I didnt worry about the counter's (lack of )customer service because i was getting the meal to go The young man couldnt care less about helping a first time customer. I asked for a cheeseburger kids meal and received a plain greasy patty with the cheese missing. I probably should have asked if it came with toppings but it should also be explained that you need to request toppings. If it had come with the 'prerequisite' cheese in a cheeseburger, i would have had no problems. Mind you, i only knew about the naked cheeseburger situation after i left. Before i left the same unhelpful counter guy handed me a bag with fries and one with burger. I asked him if the meal came with a drink .. And he said, "yeah, it comes with a juice; do you want it?" ....well, yes, i paid for it!!! I said, yes, and he threw it over the counter to me. So rude and unprofessional. read more

OK, so I read about this franchise in Robb Report and expected an upscale experience. Instead what I got was a big disappointment. The staff was pleasant but poorly trained. They couldn't explain the different characteristics and qualities of the angus vs. 28 day dry aged brisket burger. My order sat on the counter while the manager talked on his cell phone for 5 minutes. The quite smallish sized burgers were very average with a very above average prices. I never complain about high prices if the quality is there, but if your going to charge premium prices, you better deliver. BurgerFi just doesn't deliver. I will not being going back.... read more

First time eating here and we're already hooked. The cashier, Shamida, was so personable we thought she owned the place. She was so engaging in explaining the whole franchise to us. Will recommend highly to people, especially those looking for vegan/vegetarian alternatives. The meatless burger tasted like a high quality regular burger and had a lettuce bun. Plop! A free copy of the Glenview Journal and Topics newspaper landed on our driveway. Emma the Stinky Dog barked, apparently thinking that she wanted to read the latest goings-on in our suburb; so I went out and retrieved it. (Emma is not a retriever: she is a cocker spaniel mix.) Mrs. B. snared the paper from me, and proceeded to rifle through it. "Aha!" she exclaimed, "I found a two-fer for BurgerFi." I said, "Since I have taken a solemn oath to be cheap, we will take advantage of the offer." So, off we went. (Emma stayed home and read the editorial pages.) I note that there have been a jillion reviews of BurgerFi, so I need not bore you with too many details. I will just bore you with my impressions of the meal. Each of us ordered the BurgerFi burger which consists of two 3.3 oz patties and various condiments and stuff inside a bun - and the bun is branded with the company logo. Entrees are placed on metal trays lined with waxed paper (I have addressed this Glenview waxed paper phenomenon on a few previous Yelps.) The burger tastes great, but it is greasier than most anything I have consumed in the last few months. I mean that when I picked up the sandwich, it was dripping and the bottom of the bun just soaked off into the plate! We realized that we should have ordered their design-your-own option, which would have been less fatty. [I really have an aversion to sloppy or fatty foods: personal preference thing.] Service was reasonably friendly and efficient, although it appeared to me that the counter clerk was new, because he was baffled by our two-fer coupon. The store is clean, orderly, up-to-date, and has nice contemporary music playing at an understated level of volume. This is a nice place for some people, but it isn't quite right for me. The burgers and fries are pretty solid but the people working here aren't the friendliest. My friend and I looked ahead of time at BurgerFi's menu online so we knew of their "secret" menu which I find a bit ironic. How can you call something a secret if it's posted on the website?? Anywho I ordered the BurgerFi cheeseburger with bacon, green style, which means they substitute the burger bun with a lettuce "bun" and also split an order of the urban fries off of the secret menu. My other friend also ordered a cheeseburger but didn't realize she had to specify she wanted a BurgerFi cheeseburger and ended up with literally just a plain cheeseburger. There was no special BurgerFi sauce nor any lettuce. How was she to know that there was a difference between saying cheeseburger or BurgerFi cheeseburger when there's only the BurgerFi cheeseburger listed on the menu?? The people working there should have asked her if she knew there was a difference and whether she really wanted the BurgerFi one. Anywho, the food itself was pretty good. The lettuce bun concept was a great one but in actuality it was a mess to eat. The lettuce was a little wet and pretty slippery so I couldn't eat the burger without the patty and everything inside sliding around, in addition to the sauce dripping everywhere. I probably used a pack of napkins myself trying to not look like a barbarian (not that I really cared since I was with my girlfriends so who do I need to impress??). The burger was nice and juicy and the BurgerFi sauce was tasty. As for the angry fries, these were legit. They were parmesan and herb fries covered in garlic aioli. Enough said, right? The fries were crisp on the outside and soft inside and the aioli sauced really knocked it out of the ballpark. The ambiance of BurgerFi is a classier fast food joint, one step up from Five Guys in my opinion. They also serve beer and wine here which is a great option and it's not your standard Miller type of beers. If I remember correctly they had some Revolution brews and a couple others on tap and the rest were bottled. Overall, come here for the food but make sure you specify what you really want when ordering! read more

All the decent extras are a dollar? 1 dollar to get the organic ketchup, that should just be given with the price of the burger (Organic is sugar instead of corn syrup for those allergic to corn) 42 dollars for; 2 double burgers, 1 single burger, 1 large cheese fry, 1 small herb fry, 2 sodas, 2 shakes. (My daughter was little sick and only had a shake). We went there because it was new and all natural, I still think meat heads is the best upscale burger place. I had the B.A.D. burger, and thought it was pretty darn good. My sister had the cheese burger fi and she thought it was good as well. Mom tried the hot dog and thought it was ok. We shared an order of large onion rings and it was nice and crispy. We all agreed it was worth getting. Got a large to go order. The burgers traveled well but the fries not so much. This was my first time here and I had the Cheeseburger. I had the distinct impression of an In-n-Out Double Double. A solid 3-star for this place. Came here with the man for a quick dinner, lots of counter space and no line! Yay. $30 for two people (with no alcohol, mind you) so a bit on the pricey end for just your standard burger fare. The man built his own, got 3 patties which seemed too much for the tiny bun to handle. I'd stick with 2 patties or less if you like that perfect-ratio-in-each-bite feel. I had the breakfast all day, which would have been bomb but the fried egg was a little overcooked (I like that ish juicy). The bacon was spot on, but the hashbrown patty made it a messy endeavor to eat so I took it off. Urban fries were delish and the order was HUGE, definitely enough for 2 or 3 people to share. Garlic aioli looked like it had been squirted out of a mayo tube, and tasted as such, so maybe I'd stick with plain parmesan and herb. Lots of seating, outdoor patio seating in spring/summer. The place is okay. The only cool thing about is is the company's logo on the burger buns. Burgers are average, and on a smaller side, but cost like a good big juicy ones. You get tons of fries, which, in my opinion, way unseasoned. Overall, if you have cravings for burger, that place might work, but I would say 5-guys would be better. read more

You know, I want to like this place more given the meat is grass-fed and all that... I've been here a total of three times, and all experiences were fine. It's always dead here- you can always get a seat. I like the space, industrial looking, clean. Large windows let in lots of natural light, but at dusk it's dark- the lights are set a little too dim which adds to the feeling of too stark and openness to the area. The burgers are nothing special, the drink selection is great (bottled AND draft beers and bottled boylans in addition to the regular fountain sodas), the fries are blah (soggy), the onion rings are awesome (super awesome!), and the shakes are meh. Went back there tonight and complete opposite of our first experience with the same staff. It was like being on a hidden camera show. They did nothing to solve a problem that should have not been a problem. We wanted a simple cheeseburger for our 4yr old but they kept telling us that the cheeseburger is a double stack and back and forth. We do not know ur terminology. Instead of offering to explain the menu they kept going back and forth with their cheeseburger being a double!!!!! From the cashier to the managememt! What??!
