The food was delicious and the waiter was very helpful and did a great job of taking care of us!!

I hate to write this review, but, I came on a Friday afternoon for lunch with my husband. I wanted something lighter so I ordered the soup & sandwich combo. The waitress said on Fridays their special is clam chowder so I ordered that along with a half tuna melt sandwich. The clam chowder is cooked in house and unfortunately the potatoes were still raw. The waitress offered me the French onion soup instead and that tasted just okay. The tuna melt wasn't bad but nothing I'd write home about either. I tried my husband's cole slaw but sadly that was missing salt and any flavor. The waitress was super nice but I don't think I'd come back here for the food.

Food is good, service was good. I love the old pub feel on the inside. They have an outside patio that looks awesome for when the weather is warmer out. Overall think it's a great place!

Food is above average, nice outdoor patio. Service is pleasant but inexperienced. Had tater tots on the side with my Mini burgers, highly recommend. My dining companion had chicken kebab. The food is excellent The restaurant has a nice old school vibe. Nice selection of cocktails and beers, bottles and draft. Plenty of on street parking and in the nearby Metra lots.

Great and friendly staff with a great atmosphere. Older crowd that gets rowdy and sometimes emotional here but overall a fun place. Food is good but I usually belly up at the bar so couldn't really tell ya. Recommend.

Great hamburger place! Huge burgers with lots of toppings. Good fries too. Outdoor patio was pleasant and they have live music on certain evenings. Fun place to hang out with little ones and watch the Metra train. For dessert, there's an ice cream shop around the corner as well.

Very tasty chopped salad. Fresh chunks of avocado, crispy tortilla strips, beans, corn and juicy tomatoes.

This place is a little hidden behind trees at the Glenview Metra station. Thats probably why this was my first time here after driving near it so many times. I knew it was there but just hadn't made the effort. I sat outside for lunch and the setting was very peaceful since it doesn't sit on a busy street. I heard more birds than cars. I saw one Metra and one Amtrak train pass while I was eating my very tasty Cobb salad. I'd rather see a couple commuter trains pass by than a bunch of loud cars and motorcycles any day of the week. The salad had fresh chunks of avocado, crunchy tortilla strips, corn, beans and juicy tomatoes. They were out of the house balsamic so I got the honey mustard which was very good. Certainly not gonna subtract a review star for the dressing since the salad was great and the outdoor, shady quiet patio was a beautiful setting. I'd like to come back for a burger since a huge part of the menu was different types. The young server Sam was a very friendly, nice young man. Really nice place.

The food is great but don't go to the bar!! Bartender Rob was very angry and inappropriate. Totally ruined our experience.

It's a great place and beers are great. But the Friday fish fry is catfish, no matter what the menu says.

The service was great they were checking on us and following up on everything and very attentive. Now let's go to the food my sister recommended the shank I opted for the pork tank I think they also have a lamp one but the pork one was really good and super tender you don't even need a knife for it you just cut it with your fork or spoon in the meat comes off the bones right away. The pasta we ordered was also good came with the sausage it was the sausage rigatoni with sausage. My sister recommended the crispy brussel sprouts she said it was really good but we opted to go for the octopus I feel like the octopus was over seasoned a bit but it was cooked perfectly really tender. Will definitely be coming back to this place to try more stuff on their menu. Happy eating!

We had made a reservation a month in advance to try a new restaurant on Father's Day. However, as…read morethe day approached, the weather forecast consistently called for thunderstorms, heavy rain, and possible flash flooding. We decided it was not a good idea to drive to an unfamiliar area in inclement weather and canceled the reservation on Friday night. We were fortunate that Social Inn is close by and is a great restaurant for celebratory dining. Best of all, they still had reservation available. As it turned out, it was just light rain the entire evening on Father's Day, but we didn't regret the change at all. Although the restaurant was not filled to capacity, it was bustling with many families celebrating Father's Day, creating a festive vibe. It's the first time that we met the owner, Daniella, who's so warm and welcoming. She invited us to choose from available tables in three different dining areas. We selected the table right by the lounge that had a large TV, homey décor, couch and cocktail table. It was also right by the big window overlooking the small and charming front patio. Our server, Chis, was very friendly, pleasant, and attentive. I ordered a Lemonade ($3), my husband and daughter each enjoyed a glass of Mer Soliel Reserve Chardonnay (2 for $26). We shared a Grilled Octopus ($22) which was cooked to perfection. The warm, lightly charred pita points paired well with the creamy and tasty beet hummus. I had a Slow Roasted Lamb Shank ($39) which was tender and full of flavors. It was a very generous portion that I shared a big piece with my husband; and still had leftovers to take home. It made a delicious lamb sandwich for my next lunch. My husband liked his Spiked White Fish ($29) so much last time that he ordered it again. Our daughter enjoyed her order of Rigatoni Sausage ($23), another generously portioned dish that she couldn't quite finish. By the end of the meal, we were too full for individual desserts, so we shared a Crème Brûlée ($8), which was the perfect sweet ending. All in all, it was a wonderful dinner. With consistent delicious dishes, warm hospitality, comfortable seating, and a convenient location, we will definitely be back again.

We were celebrating a birthday and they brought the birthday boy a Moon pie with chocolate sauce and a sparkler. It was very sweet of them to l celebrate with us. A couple of folks in our party had a few drinks. They also said those were good. It said karaoke, but no one was doing karaoke and we were so busy eating, we forgot to ask about it. Service was very good. The wait staff checked in on us often. I really loved that the tables had a little drawer that had all the utensils and napkins that we would need throughout the dinner. Fun place to have a dinner with friends.

Our group shared the following: popcorn chicken, stir-fried chicken gizzards, fried eggs with Spam, corn cheese, truffle French fries, seafood pancake, bossam (pork belly, shrimp paste, lettuce wrap), rose tteokbokki, steamed egg souffle with cheese, spam and kimchi fried rice, station noodles (beef broth, veggies), and strawberry bingsoo. My favorite of the night was the rose tteokbokki. The tteokbokki was perfectly chewy and I enjoyed the flavor of the sauce. The popcorn chicken was also good and paired well with the sauce it came with. The bossam was on the dry side and the seafood pancake was pretty standard. The fries were good but wouldn't pay $10 for a basket of fries if we came back next time. The corn cheese was also good but the plate was small. There was a call button at each table which was convenient. Food came out individually as it was ready instead of all at once which was to be expected for our party size.

The sweet kale salad was very large, easy to share, and had a nice dressing. The crunch potatoes straws were also a good touch to the dish. So far a great start to the dinner. For entrees we ordered the grilled chicken giardiniera and NY strip. Both of these were subpar and did not live up to our expectations. The NY strip was bland and did not have a nice texture to it. Moreover, the grilled chicken dish was way overcooked and very dry. The chicken itself lacked flavor and did not have much seasoning on it. The only flavor came from the peppers on top. The positive parts of the entrees were the large portions and side of potatoes. The chicken dish came with 3 chicken breasts and a healthy amount of potatoes. Our server was kind, and the restaurant had a nice vibe to it. When I went, only a couple of tables were occupied so it was pretty quiet when I dined in. Overall a decent addition to the Glen but would only come back for the appetizers. The entrees could be revamped and this place would be awesome.
