I used to give Bulwark 5 stars until I moved to Houston. I have had their service for 7 years. However, within the last 6 months, it just hasn't been effective. They had been spraying when it's raining. They say it doesn't affect it but we had to have them come out 2-3x every spray to fully rid of bugs. When they say they'll follow up, they don't. Then when the guy comes back out to respray, he didn't know there were notes to spray differently. He had to call when we spoke to him. If we didn't catch him, he wouldn't have dealt with the problem correctly. We finally decided to move services and when we called to cancel, the girl hung up on us! Even if it disconnected, she didn't call back. Very unprofessional and disappointing. We are patient and loyal customers but enough is enough. I don't know if I want to recommend this business. The technician did not show up during the scheduled time frame (11-1). I had to take time off from a very busy work schedule . I had called the office twice to get an update as to where the technician was. First time I was told that he was on his way. The second time I was told he was 5 minutes away. I had a meeting to go to and I left my house at 1:15. This was quite disappointing for a business that had gotten a lot of 5-star reviews. read more

I tend to only post reviews when I've had an excellent experience. After reading the reviews again, I saw another customer had the same problem. If you have a set schedule, I want to save you time and headache. I needed pest control treatment for a vacant rental property. The appointment time was for 3:30-6:30. The tech called around 12:50 saying he'd be there at 1:20 (no where near the appointment time). I obliged and rearranged things to make it work. I got to the property at 1:20 and received a phone call from the technician asking to verify the address. He had the wrong address and said he'd be there at 2. (40 minutes later than he promised and I was already there.) He finally arrived at 2:10. I rearranged my schedule and waited at the property for 50 minutes. I never received an apology and when I called customer service, they said, "The system sometimes has a glitch, so the wrong address can go out." Well if you know of this glitch, why don't you train your techs to confirm the address with the homeowner before they head out? If you work from home or have a flexible job, this company may work for you. If you are scheduled oriented, beware. read more

Had a roach issue. So I called Bulwark Exterminating. Fortunately, Bulwark was able to send someone that evening. Customer service was very helpful, initially. I asked about the cost, and he rate wasn't too bad. He said it was a discount rate. Brandon was the exterminator. Asked me immediately what the issues were. "Do I see small or large roaches? Where? How often..." then, he explained to me what he was going to do. He started to work his magic. Good guy. Very helpful. Friendly. When I told Bulwark Exterminating that I wanted to cancel my service, customer service changed. I asked multiple times for the receipt. And I still have not received a receipt. I did have an issue with their customer service. I like Brandon, and I would want him to come out again. However, my concern was with customer service, and how I still did not receive my receipt. I forgot to tell Bulwark that I have rat problem and knew I had to call them to come out again but when the today's job was completed, John was kind enough to text me what he did around my house. At that time, I was able to tell him about the rat issue and he put a bait box and left some sticky pads for me. This saved me the time of having to call Bulwark to schedule another visit. These guys simply don't do what they charge for. On a recent (May 2018) appointment, I was charged for a service that was not performed. The technician didn't even show up. Apparently, the technician was reporting that he had performed the service and I was charged. My security video validated that no one ever came to the home. When I called, they told me that technician had been let go because he was reporting service to customers and he wasn't showing up. I gave them another chance. They sent an older gentleman out who ensured the service was complete properly. On the very next scheduled visit, a technician came by. Before I could make it out to greet him, he had gone. My security footage showed that he spent less than one minute at my property. Can you really properly treat a home in 50 seconds or less? The answer...NO! I've now cancelled my contract. At first I thought this company was amazing until 6 months down the line. The person assigned to my area always does a half job and shows up late after the window. I have video cameras surrounding my home and the guy walked along the back of my house in the backyard and barely sprayed anything. He didn't go around doors or anything. We are extremely pleased with Bulwark. We cancelled our Terminix account after being serviced by them for 3 years. I wanted to try Bulwark to see if they can get rid of all of the pests we've been seeing for the last 6 months. Ramon and Edwin showed up promptly for our scheduled appointment. They were both courteous and friendly. Prior to exterminating the home, they thoroughly explained what was going to be done. Ramon and Edwin sprayed the inside of the house, the attic, rooms upstairs, the perimeter of the outside, the man hole in the front yard, backyard, and more. They put roach bait in the corners of our kitchen cabinets and even baited the garage to monitor spiders. They found ant mounds in the yard, baited them, and did so much more. Talk about thorough! I was called to see if I needed service since my last appointment. A service time was scheduled. I received an email confirming the appointment the next day. The day before my scheduled service I received a text message reminder with the expected time of service. Edwin and Malik came to the door before starting the service to see if there were any specific problems or areas that needed attention. They wore masks. Maintained 6 feet distance and were polite and professional. As they were finishing the service they came to let me know what was completed, to verify that there were no additional concerns, and to remind me that I could call for a service follow up at any time.
