I ate breakfast here recently and had a fine time. The breakfast was on a Sunday morning around 10 and there was a bit of a wait, but it wasn't bad and there was plenty of seating in the lobby. I had the Hunters Benedict which was very good - think venison instead of ham. The eggs were poached perfectly and the venison was extremely tender. All in all, an excellent meal. On vaction from LA and was super excited to see a BBQ joint. We do not get BBQ in LA. Being from the South that has been the hardest adjustment. They even had real sweet tea so they started out ahead of the game. The beef brisket sandwich on garlic toast was outstanding. Ridiculous amount of Beef. Tender. I would have preferred it be dry and I add the sauce however the sauce was good. Onion rings were not good. That said in my eyes a small price to pay. Food was outstanding, services could not have been better, coast was very responsible for being in a tourist town, and the music great. My family and I came back to Jackson Hole after 7 years. We went looking for this place only to realize that they've moved. The new location is much better than the previous one---much cleaner and better maintained. The food is still great! The food here is as expected for a barbecue restraunt But after I left I felt a little mislead I got the salad bar option thinking the soup that was on the salad bar came with it when I got my bill they had charged me a extra $3 or $3.5 should have a sign on the salad bar that it a not included. read more

Lots of food and tasty too. The service is good. The scrambled egg breakfast special can't be beat, though I thought there was too much bacon mixed into the eggs. My only other complaint about this place is all the wasted food. The portions are so large as to be ridiculous. The biscuits are impressive, but one is the size of four regular biscuits and not one person at our table finished theirs. Seems gimmicky and quite wasteful. read more

If you say the food here is good, that means you know nothing about the real BBQ. We ordered a lot but nothing is right above the average. And this is a busy place because of its location, they just want the tourists to eat, pay and go. Every time we had to wait a long time and call someone near us for what we needed. I would say try to avoid this place, the McDonald's is better. read more

The BBQ here is amazing and the buttermilk pie (both regular and chocolate) are to die for! Every time we go to Jackson Hole we come here multiple times, because the ribs, pulled chicken sandwich, and chicken fried steak are soo delicious. Love Bubba's! read more

Sorry, but this barbecue is neither "Texas-style" nor very good. The meat was dry and overcooked. The mac-and-cheese was not very cheesy and had neither character nor flavor. And the beans would NEVER be served in a Texas BBQ place. They were small and sweet, ala pork-and-beans, probably beans and franks were also on the menu. Beans in Texas are pintos and are NOT sweet. Delicious!! A local recommended this place to us for dinner and were so glad we went. The service was great and we had our food in less than 10 minutes. My boyfriend had the beef brisket platter and said it was some of the best he has ever had-served with 2 sides and a big slice of Texas toast. I had the roast turkey plAtter which had some of the most juicy and flavorful sliced turkey I've ever had. It was so much food we both took home boxes of leftovers. read more

This is a great BBQ place. The brisket is AMAZING. Tops my list of BBQ places.

Some restaurants close between summer and ski season, and a lot of open restaurant parking lots are relatively bare. Bubba's was not, a good indication that the natives like it, and we sound out why. I tried the pulled pork sandwich, was totally satisfied, and stuffed. We came back a day or two later for breakfast, and were again impressed - their biscuits and gravy and omelets are super. After a long day hiking, you are too tired to dress, and the casual atmosphere at Bubba's is just right. read more

Food was fantastic. Brisket so tender it fell apart on the fork. Hubby says the ribs were some of the best he's had. Portions were huge. Neither one of us could finish it all. Came in about 9 got some pretty quick service, server was attentive to us even though it was a busy time. But them we got our food, I got the Biscuit Sandwich and the eggs weren't scrambled. Had to go back. The Biscuit was dry and tough. My brothers burger had to go back it was still pink and bloody. Although the steaks were perfect and the smoked pork chop was delicious. Overall, not a great experience after hearing some good things about their breakfast here. I was pretty disappointed. read more

Not great. Waitress was not very friendly. I asked her about Bubbas shrimp dish. I looked at the website and it sounded good. I asked her how it was..she said "people eat it". That made me hesitate in ordering that dish. My husband had the st. Luis ribs. It was drowned in BBQ sauce to cover up the fact the ribs were over cooked and burned. I had the sliced turkey. The 4 of us had a terrific dinner here while traveling thru the national parks. Compared to other resort restaurants and quality and type of food, this place seems like a bargain with BBQ never being actually cheap anywhere. We had baby backs, an awesome brisket and when we saw we needed more food we ordered the smoked turkey which was the most delicious moist smoked turkey we have ever had. They had an extensive salad bar and I guess the custom is to order that with your meat course. Our usual MO is to order meat and skip everything else but couldn't see getting 4 salad bars. Good barbecue, good salad bar. Prices aren't bad - $10 big sandwich with side up to $20 for full orders of BBQ. Beer and wine served, patient with kids (and with kids after long car trips built up energy). Warning! This is NOT the yummy Bubba's that used to be across the road years ago. My story is a SICK one ... Husband and I got terrible food poisoning after eating here while on vacation. I was so sick we couldn't drive home. Had to stay two extra nights and travel home for two more days extremely ill. Called the restaurant to let them know their Sloppy Chicken Bubba may be the culprit as it seemed old when we ate it. Manager was rude and denied any part of it. He wouldn't even give us the courtesy of taking it off our bill! We called the health department and they investigated the kitchen. They found two or three violations. This was the very worst my stomach and GI have ever felt (other than a flu bug) and it is for certain it was there. I should have set up camp in the john because I had to use it that much!!! To this day I can no longer eat barbecue sandwiches. :( Shame on you! read more

Everytime i was out of town this was one of my first stops there chicken wings were ethier made by god himself or the devil they are so good that i've traveled just to be able eat there again i used to visit the one in idaho falls frequently but eventually that location closed down here is a piece of advice open one in utah so i don't have to drive far for wings read more

This place is GREAT!! We came for lunch and couldn't even eat it all. The pulled pork was amazing and the portion was HUGE for a sandwich! The turkey was seriously the best I've ever eaten besides our own smoked turkey. . The coke slaw was like Zaxby's but exponentially better. We just 'happened' on Bubba's while touring Jackson Hole...Even the sweet tea was great and we're from the South! I highly recommend it! Ask for Santiago for your waiter!! read more

Food was mediocre. Not enough sauce. Beans tasted like they came out of a can. Cole slaw tasted old. I won't eat there again.

I was a little leery after reading some of these reviews but my fears were unwarranted. We had a large party, 11 people. They were very accommodating and checked with us to make sure it was an ok arrangement before we were finally seated. The food was really good! Big portions and great flavor. Stopped by Bubba's after a long day of traveling the nearby parks. It was a great relief, and our server, Zuzanna, provided a great end to the day. The food was very good, and Zuzanna was perfect, and as we got to talking, we found out she was visiting from Poland, so we got to learn a little bit about her culture and hopefully give her some clues on where else in the US to visit while she was here.
