Drinks and Sloshies
Laura P.

My seat neighbor on my flight to Jackson, WY said the best burger in the area was at a gas station in nearby Wilson. The problem was she couldn't remember the name of the burger spot! I'm always up for a challenge, and hubs and I were starving so off we went. It wasn't difficult to find - just look for the cars at an Exxon gas station! Please note the Sidecar restaurant is located inside Basecamp provisions/convenience store. It's counter ordering, and they'll call your name when your order is ready. There's one high top 10 seat table inside and deck dining with picnic tables outside. Clean up after yourself and take your trays to the labeled "Bus Bins". I took the advice of my neighboring seat mate and ordered the Sidecar burger- the only one on the menu. This double patty burger with their in house Comeback sauce, melty American cheese, lettuce and pickles on a fresh bun was messy and delicious! Their skin on fries were piping hot and crispy, too! Their menu is limited to several sandwiches and salads. They also have Sloshies which are alcoholic slushies for those not familiar with this new icy cocktail. I look forward to returning!

Chicken Sandwich with homemade potato chips and a watermelon grapefruit sloshie

When I heard we were getting lunch from a gas station, I didn't know what to expect but it might have been one of the best chicken sandwiches I've ever had! I'm a very indecisive person and the guy at the front gave his recommendations on what I should get and I was not let down. There are a few seats inside and more outside and very clean. I will definitely be back in the future!

Daily house-ground beef for your burger. Eat here if you want to eat well and support the real food movement.

Great hidden gem! Wouldn't think to stop here if it weren't for the yelp reviews. An awesome lunch after being out in side by sides all day.

The Power Bowl with smoked salmon was absolutely fantastic! The vanilla lattes were excellent. The avocado toast and hazelnut banana bread were great too. For instance, she told me that a side came with the sandwich I ordered, which was incorrect. While waiting for my order (which came out quickly), it was nice to look around and take in the decor. It was very tastefully decorated inside. The first time, I shared some food. It was good, but very expensive. I got a salad (22$) and a ham sandwich. The sandwich was 16$, which wasn't worth it. One slice of ham and one slice of cheese. The salad was fresh and flavorful. You can tell the ingredients are of high quality, but I don't know how people can afford this place regularly. The second time I went, I ordered two drinks to-go. One coffee, which was good. I found that a lot of coffee places in town don't know how to pull espresso, but my coffee was soo smooth. It made me happy! The second drink was incorrect. I ordered a matcha and didn't notice till I got home, and it was coffee. My companion, for whom I got it, was very sad, as they don't drink coffee. For a 10$ drink, I expect it to be correct.

Got into Jackson after long travel and needed some cozy comfort food. Wow, Miazga delivered!…read more Ordered some pirogies to start, bison and huckleberry. The bison with the caramelized onions was next level! The huckleberry was pretty good too. For the main course, we got the bison burger and the red sauce with meatballs. The bison burger was so tender and melted in my mouth. I had regretted the choice of a bison burger because I remembered how most ends up so dry, but not this. The pasta with meatballs reminded me of my childhood, but better. The meatballs are so full of flavor. Miazga's is great comfort food, perfect for a ski town. Everything has an add pricing, and they're definitely great adds, but the end bill was very affordable for a nice ski town. On cold nights at home, I'll definitely be craving the food.

I almost never write reviews, but Matt and the Chef deserve some recognition!…read more It was honestly hard finding good food in Jackson Hole as we are picky eaters, but this place was so good we came back twice. The fried chicken pasta was delicious - the chicken was sooo juicy. The truffle pasta was also really good. Matt works at the bar, and he made the whole experience even better. There wasn't a hostess when we walked in, but he noticed us and got us seated. We also ate at the bar another night and noticed how much he genuinely goes out of his way for everyone. Even if he's not your server, he makes sure you're taken care of. He handles negative situations really well too, even when things like food delays aren't his fault. Super friendly, great attitude, and just naturally good at what he does. Honestly, service at some other places in Jackson Hole has been pretty disappointing, so Matt really stood out and left a great impression on us.

A thoroughly enjoyable evening and dinner…read more Possibly the best ribeye I've had in the past 10 years, but the other "foam and powder"aspects of the dish were just silly. The so called General Tso steak sauce was like a thimbleful smear and completely irrelevant. BBQ Ramen seasoning? Not even enough to get a taste profile of it. The trout with a green curry sauce was good but again, ummmm.... Trout has a subtle flavor. Green curry coconut sauce, and stuffed with another type of Asian something something....might as just as well better to use a neutral tasting fish like a better quality tilapia imho. Let trout taste like trout. Use a different, neutral tasting fish for these kinds of sauces and fillings. Well at least it wasn't covered with a garnish of micro greens lol. Just a little cilantro heh heh heh. I mean don't get me wrong. Both entrees were okay. But a waste of quality fish when a less costly fish would have been fine what with all those other flavors. And the foam and powder embellishments on the steak were barely noticeable. The whole menu reads like a community college cooking school graduate little bit of this little bit of that. When I get home I'm going to have fun writing the different components of all the menu items on index cards, shuffle, and see what combinations come up each time. And I love the idea of a General Tso steak sauce and want to try creating one. And using a packet of Ramen seasoning instead of Cajun seasoning sounds like a fun thing to try. I just won't do it on a fifty dollar piece of meat. If you are counting calories you skip the gross doughnut hole dessert. Dense ball of dough. Gummy. Like they used a cake doughnut recipe instead of a yeast doughnut or beignet recipe. But if not counting calories , go for it. It's fun to try the sauces, even if not that great a doughnut. Great, festive, lively ambiance . Super friendly staff and service.
