Pizzeria Colore and Pizzeria Locale, sit down with your bullshit fake Italian za. Not only is Brooklyn Pizza priced to compete but it blows your twist on pizza out of the water. The best Pizza in boulder, all my friends go ham for this when I show up to their houses with it. This pizza is not fucking around. Not only that but the specials are just mind-blowing. The pizza is not too cheesy, not too saucy, not too doughy, not too crispy. Ingredients are claimed to be locally sourced. The cheese- high quality and never burnt. The quality is immediately noticed because its not cheap salty bulk food cheese. The sauce- I dare say may be made in house like it should be, where many places in Boulder do not. Furthermore the kitchen is up front, not hidden and I never see boxes of sysco stuff like at other joints around town. The crust- The dough always cooked through but not burnt on the bottom this is key because its consistent, many place in Colorado do not have consistent pizza. I have to say this is authentic brooklyn crust, its not disturbingly greasy but can still be folded to be eaten as is NY tradition. read more

Drive past this place all the time. Noticed a new owner so i stopped in.... I wasn't prepared to be served the best slice of pizza i have had in years!! then i discovered this pizza place is being run by an experienced chef. i took two slices with me and had to split them with some friends to show them THIS IS WHAT Pizza is supposed to taste like. i have been back, and will be back again :) this is my latest Pizza joint i worked up the nerve the last visit to ask who is the person responsible for this Pizza from Heaven? that's when i met my newest best friend, Genc (Pronounced Gens) the owner He moved to Boulder from NYC to be with his family... after a 5 MIN talk about how the move was and about the up coming menu changes, we talked about roasting peppers and preparing sauces for 30 mins :) on every way a pepper can be baked - slow roasted over coals or in an olive oil baste in an oven, then pealed and then set with garlic and onions then Slowly stirred and stewed with the tomato for the home made sauces.... i was in food heaven comparing notes. He prepares all the toppings with the authentic slow processes of a real kitchen, this is not fast food. this is GOOD FOOD - try for your self. i am super excited to have a chef making Piazza in my local area - the only question remains is, when does he open a full restaurant !!! when i finally left we were talking about the custom thin crust and sweet pizza's he was going to make this summer. read more

This was a nice little surprise. I was a fan of Jalino's pizza (which was in the same location), so when I drove past and saw it was a new pizza joint, I had to try it! Jalino's didn't deliver, so I never really ate there after high school. I looked Brooklyn up on yelp and checked out their website and it seemed like a safe bet to try out. Although I ordered something pretty basic (pepp and cheese), the crust is chewy and thin and delish. My only criticism would be that I wish there was a little more sauce on the crust... if that makes any sense... all the delectable cheese and sauce end at a point leaving a little too much crust for my liking. That, however, could be a personal preference. Sauce was hearty and robust and full of flavor...but the cheese...the CHEESE! The cheese is the crowned jewel of that slice. I do not know what kind of blend they use, but it is brilliant. It's not like any other pizza cheese I have had. This place is well worth checking out more and I will be back. read more

I'm from the East Coast- so I've had real New York pizza. I can say with no doubt this is the closest to it that I have had in Colorado. Thin crust with huge slices. $3 a slice is not bad either. The chefs are all very nice and greet me each time I come in. It has a cute stool seating area and the environment is always home-y. I wasn't sold when I first came here, but am so glad I came back! It's now a weekly lunch spot for me. read more

I was there initially to use the restroom. I was on way to race in the Ironman. This placed smelled so good I had to try a pizza since i was carb loading. Wow!! Yummy. However the lasagna was maybe the best I ever had!! Perfect post race meal. The owner let me park my Jeep there for 17 hours. No charge.. Thank you guys so much. I'll eat there again. Last night the pizza was burnt, and lacking flavor. Little to no topping, On one of the pizzas it tasted as though they had used a dirty dish rag to wipe the bottom the pizza. Everyone who works in a restaurant/bar knows that very specific smell, and that's what the pizza tasted like. Their salad was 50 cents worth of romaine lettuce with Parmesan cheese, and that cost $7. We spent over $60 on 2 salads and 2 pizzas that were made by children. When we called to speak with a manager and express our disappointment we were told they had to contact their manager and would call us back shortly. We subsequently called back after no response. Their response after obviously forgetting to tell or contact any manager, "The manager won't be in until Sunday." We ordered the food on Friday evening. Your customer service, response time and quality control are seriously lacking!!!! read more

Best pizza I've found in the area, I drive out from Broomfield for this about once a week

Delicious pizza. Dough and sauce is made everyday with expensive imported flour for the dough and fresh tomatoes is used to make the sauce. On top of the amazing pizzas are the desserts. Just like the pizza the desserts are made in house. The tiramisu and cannolis are to die for. Overall customer service is great and inviting. read more

Let me start by saying the staff was great. They let us taste a topping we were unfamiliar with and just had a nice attitude. But, I just didn't dig their pizza that much. I mean, it was tasty and I get why people are raving about the crust but I don't know, just seemed a bit bland overall. Its a combination of little things (starting with the quality of the food) that keep you coming back. For me, I've always enjoyed the friendly banter with the owner (a true New Yorker), the fact that they are always open when I need that slice asap (especially late at night - it's hard to find a fast meal in Boulder), quick in and out and easy parking, and supporting a staple of local business. I find the place clean and efficient and am pulling for them to survive this pandemic. The lasagna is amazing also, always has those leopard spots on it so you know its good. read more

I got there way early, but as it turned out, Genc had a large pepperoni for pizza by the slice just coming out of the oven. Instead of making me wait, he boxed that one up for me. Nice guy. I would say the Big Three Pizza places in Boulder are Cosmos, Boss Lady, and Brooklyns, certainly thats true for college kids. It really just depends on what you prefer. East coast I would recommend trying Brooklyn's . Personally I prefer Cosmo's. Maybe its just the nostalgia from getting a slice while out with all your friends partying before COVID, but to me Cosmo's is the best of the three. I would put Brooklyns over Boss Lady but I know some people who would put Boss Lady number one so it just depends on what you like. read more

Pretty good east coast pizza. I ordered a pepperoni, extra cheese and really enjoyed it. The cheese is top notch and the sauce has a light, smooth taste and plays a nice backup role to the cheese and toppings. It reminds of pizza on the Jersey shore. The thing keeping this from a higher rating is that the crust isn't *quite* there. It's just a little too thick and chewy (which is mostly due to the high altitude baking). It's probably really good re-heated or for all night party pizza. read more
