I've walked by this place 100 times. Not knowing much about it other than it being an over the counter slice shop catering to locals, in particular, college kids. After leaving an event nearby, it was time for me to get acquainted with Pizza Colore! Slice shops are a dime a dozen nowadays. This place has a long counter with pizzas by the slice for your eyes to wonder upon. Very few seats near the front window and outside, but I believe there was more seating towards the back of the restaurant. I ordered an "East Coast" slice (their version of a supreme) and a cheese slice. After a few minutes, my order was ready. I loaded them up with grated cheese, red pepper flakes, and oregano. These were served piping hot, as any respectable slice shop should do. These slices were good! Practically no flop other than the first bite, crust was crispy and bready, and I felt like the toppings/cheese and sauce were balanced well. My main qualm was that it was missing salt in the dough and sauce. If it was seasoned throughout this would've been a great slice! However, the spicy ranch for dipping was clutch! Service was quick and friendly. Many people were popping in for a quick bite. I loved standing outside in the moderately cold weather scarfing down my hot slices, while watching the Saturday night crowd cruise by on Pearl Street. As close to an east coast experience as you can get in Colorado! I came in with little to low expectations, and left full and satisfied. Glad I finally gave them a shot. Prices were right and the product was respectable!

My son and I decided to go out to dinner tonight and he wanted pizza, so I asked him "what's the best pizza place in Boulder?" And we agreed, it's Pizza Colore! We were glad to see Alex there! He's there every time we go. What a dedicated staff member and he always makes the experience great! He's such a nice guy, is kind, and I really believe he cares about his customers and above all about providing great pizza! Alex is the reason we give this place 6 out of 5 stars! I've never eaten pizza with such great dough and crust. Normally I don't eat the crust and just give the pizza bones to our dog. At Pizza Colore I eat every last bite. This is the place to go if you want pizza in Boulder!

Always quick and if they don't have the place you want they'll make it for you quickly. If you're looking for great pizza that remind you of NY,this is it! Don't go any further!!

I was in town for the Boulderthon. Once I was done with the race expo which was also right there in the Pearl Street Mall, I stopped in here to grab something quick to eat. I ordered their 8" meathead pizza. It came with pepperoni, sausage, meatball, and Canadian bacon. They had seating in the back, but I opted for a table outside as the weather was really nice. It looked to be a pretty small operation, kind of easy to miss. I was glad that I made the stop in here. The pizza was good and everyone working there was nice and friendly.

While visiting for a show at Red Rock in June, we stopped at Pizza Colore while enjoying the area. This shop resembles a wide winding hallway with the counter/ register by the front. As you walk back along the counter, you can see where they make/bake the pizza. All the way to the back is the small but clean/well lit seating area. The staff was friendly, the service was fast and the pizza was indeed delicious! Thin, crispy crust. Fresh herby red sauce with lots of mozzarella, topped with spicy pepperoni and sausage.

My son and I decided to go out to dinner tonight and he wanted pizza, so I asked him "what's the best pizza place in Boulder?" And we agreed, it's Pizza Colore! We were glad to see Alex there! Best slices in Boulder, hands down. They have great flavors including the angry Hawaiian, spicy marg, spinach and artichokes, pesto, and on and on. They also do homemade cannoli, filled to order. You eat it in a Pizza Cavern in the back and count how many napkins you can grease up. Another slice? Uhhhhh okay. read more

It started off great, there was a very nice woman working, then the general manager talked to us and took my order, we were laughing and having fun, then he said we were f*cking obnoxious and that he didn't like us. He then proceeded to say more extremely rude things. We sat down and he came over and pulled a knife out, he flicked it around then came over holding it and told us that we were not allowed to order anything else and that we were too obnoxious for his store. Overall a crazy experience considering we were nice and didn't say anything rude or even close to disrespectful. I have gotten pizza here many times before and all of the employees have been great, but I will not be coming back again after this experience. read more

It's summer time on the Pearl Street Mall so stop by and pick up delicious pizza. We come here every summer and it never disappoints. A bright fun young man helped me choose our slices and there were numerous choices. Not like your local pizza place where you only have one or two choices, there were at least 8, all piping hot. They also heat and wrap pieces you want to take home. Next time we will order a whole pizza, but we've been twice already for slices! Give it a try. read more

Be careful they will try and give you old slices sitting out all day. Normally when i goto a cool pizza spot they will give you the best fresh slice but not this place and because of that i will never trust this place read more

My son and I found this gem on Pearl Street in Boulder. This was some of the best pizza we've had. The crust on this pizza was just perfection at its best. Their pizza was tasty and left us craving more. My son had their pepperoni and I had their pepperoni with pesto sauce. Amazing slices! The entire staff was extremely friendly and helpful with information about the town. Must try this spot! read more

AMAZING - probably one of the best I've ever had, including trips to NYC and Brooklyn! The slices were BIG and the crust was PERFECT - light and crispy but not burnt / brittle and the toppings were delicious! I'm from So Cal but my brother lives in Longmont - next time I'm visiting this is a must stop and he agreed, if he wants pizza this is totally worth the short drive! The staff was great, gave some kind words to the owner and he was very appreciative - this place ROCKS!!! read more

The East Coast pizza is a must. It is balanced with meat, cheese, and some bell peppers. The service is quick, the slices are perfect size! Maybe 2 is enough but go for it whole pizza if you feeling it. The back area is great to enjoy a slice with some good company. Definitely get your slice here!! read more

Solid NYC pizza joint on Pearl Street in Boulder. A large group of us ordered 3 pizzas including the hot Hawaiian and a couple other meat options (I forget the name). Pizza was very tasty and filling. My only complaint is they are cheap on small days refills ($1 each refill?) and no ranch dressing. Maybe this is done out of self preservation in a college town. In any event, solid pizza and would definitely go back! read more

The pizza as my husband said was scrumptious, the gentleman who help us was very helpful and friendly. The only complaint I have is the gentleman at the register was more interested in texting then helping check us out. So much so that the man who help us with the pizza came and over and asked us what we wanted to drink and if there was anything else after I had asked for 2 drinks from the man at the register. I totally would recommend coming here for some fantastic pizza! read more

I usually dislike sweet and salty and my partner hates nuts, but they did this pizza so well it was one of the best pizzas we tried there. I believe they mix up their menus cause when I tried looking it up online for the exact name of the pizza I couldn't find the pizza. But I'll post a picture of the pizza. They also have a great appetizers and the slice their prosciutto to order. What I love about this place is you can sit at the pizza bar and watch pizzas being made and meat being sliced and arranged beautifully. I loved their limoncello drinks which is perfect for spring/summer day out on their patio. The servers are kind and hard working. This definitely is one of my favorite places to hang, date night, girls night, business dinner, etc.

I WAS ACTUALLY THREATENED BY A HYPERSENSITIVE CUSTOMER AND THE MANAGERS WORKING AT THE TIME SAW NO LOGICAL SOLUTION EXCEPT TO TARNISH THEIR BUSINESS' REPUTATION BY PERMITTING SUCH HEINOUS EVENTS TO EVEN BE PUBLISHED ON A PUBLIC FORUM IN THE FIRST PLACE IN ORDER TO SACRIFICE REVENUE AT THEIR OWN EXPENSE! :D I seriously don't know what led up to this, but tonight they have legitimately earned a one-star review from me. I used to come here all the time after a night of drinking on Pearl Street with my buddies. But as a result of tonight's events & Pizza Colore's INABILITY to handle them, I have no desire to return here ever again. I went to Pizza Colore tonight, I ordered pizza, I received my pizza, I sat down and ate my pizza, I left to go use the bathroom, when I returned, I confronted the person who took my seat and they began to threaten me because they took my seat. BUT THEY TOOK MY SEAT?! #christianlogic (and adding logic to the end provides it more credit than it should ever deserve). It's on Pearl Street? I was assaulted by customers and the employees working at the restaurant at the time simply permitted the other customer to assault me. I'm actually on the phone with pizza colore employees right now and I'm about to ask "what can you say to me right now so I don't leave a bad review for pizza colore on the internet" and he actuallyhung up on me. SO DON'T COME HERE BECAUSE INTEGRITY DOES NOT MEAN A THING TO ANYONE WORKING FOR PIZZA COLORE! Pizza Colore actually permits their other customers to verbally assault me after visiting their location is absolutely unforgivable. If I visit their restaurant after midnight hours & they permit somebody to take my seat without any explanation, what do they expect me to do? tattle? No. Seriously. If you're going to permit drunk individuals to orchestrate the business you conduct, then you will never see another cent from me ever again. read more

All these bad reviews are completely whack! I'm from the east coast and this is the ONLY good pizza place I've found in the entire state of Colorado. Decent crust, and just about any topping that you can imagine is available. Everything that they make is in house: the sauce, dough, cookies, cannoli cream, even their caesar dressing is made here. They must have hired all new staff since past reviews, because the guys that work there are all cool. And it's only like $2/slice, how is that considered pricey? Cheapest spot for food on Pearl! Give this place a chance before you knock it! You'll be glad you did. read more
