Heard about this Neapolitan wood fired pizza place in Boulder and had to stop by! They had so many different kinds of toppings so it was hard to choose! We went with the Lottie's Salsiccia, which had sausage, vodka sauce, and sweet and sour peppers. It had an interesting mix of sweet and savory flavors. Our waitress also recommended us the Trapanese, which was super creamy as it had pesto sauce and burrata cheese chunks on top. We added anchovies to half of the pizza and that definitely added some saltiness to it. For drinks we had the aperol spritz and frose, which were refreshing. They have indoor and outdoor seats, though outdoor is limited so you may have to wait. The flavors of the pizza really came through well, but the crust was a bit too thick for my liking. Service was fast though and super friendly! It's right on Pearl Street too so you can check it out as you're shopping! read more

A part of Boulder is CU and their students, a big part of college students is pizza. Therefore Boulder has a lot of college friendly greasy cheap pizzas.. which is great for our population but does get redundant and I crave a different kind of pizza. One with more attention to detail, fluffy crust, more 'Italian' style, more homey. This is the place if you're craving that more authentic Italian style experience! They've got actual margarita pizza (that's not just a cheese pizza with tomato slices thrown on it like other places..) and really unique style pizzas if you're feeling adventurous. We had one unique pizza that had sausage, honey, and pistachios. I usually dislike sweet and salty and my partner hates nuts, but they did this pizza so well it was one of the best pizzas we tried there. I believe they mix up their menus cause when I tried looking it up online for the exact name of the pizza I couldn't find the pizza. But I'll post a picture of the pizza. They also have a great appetizers and the slice their prosciutto to order. What I love about this place is you can sit at the pizza bar and watch pizzas being made and meat being sliced and arranged beautifully. I loved their limoncello drinks which is perfect for spring/summer day out on their patio. The servers are kind and hard working. I really like Pizzeria Alberico. The high quailty ingredients and the pizza really tastes like Italy. I had Diavolo pizza and it was excellent. It had a nice little spicy kick to it which I loved. I also had the Budino dessert which is a butterscotch pudding with chocolate ganache and whipped creme and it was perfect. I mean a 10 out of 10 on this dessert. Came here for the namesake. Unfortunately, the attention we received as customers was lacking. The wait wasn't bad we were sat down quickly since it wasn't a busy day. However, after 15 minutes of waiting for our menus my partner had to get them himself. Strange since the other table directly in front of us was being attended and even got their drinks before we got our own menus. When the waiter got our orders, he never brought our drinks and we were only served water. Our appetizer was given to another table, it's almost as if we were being completely ignored, purposely. Being that we were the only brown customers in the restaurant, I can't help but to think that's the reason why the service was not up to the other yt customers standards. Won't be coming back. Vibe is very chill and relaxing. Staff was ok. Our waitress was a little busy but she was still attentive. I heard from another server for another table that the pizza oven reaches 1000 degrees and the pie cooks in sixty seconds. This would have made the experience so much better if someone would have told us as it was our first time. We had three pizzas. The andouille, the Marguerite and the diavola. All equally incredible but after trying the andouille And diavola the other tasted bland in comparison. The gelato was phenomenal with a pizzelle on top. read more

We were in Boulder for my hubby's work and wanted a nice dinner - one of the locals he was meeting with highly suggested Pizzeria Alberico. We started our dinner with the olive appetizer, and they were wonderful. We shared a tasty salad, a Negroni, and a 'Nduja e Cipolle Dolce Pizza - all of which were delicious and worthy of recommending to future diners! Great food, cocktails & service. Was here last night with 2 gf's. We had a 5:45pm reservation arrived a few minutes late but they were fine. They were not busy when we arrived. Drinks took a bit the first round. My Negroni was delicious, friend's had a spritz each. The olives, prosciutto, carrots & another app which I thought was suppose to be cauliflower but looked like broccolini were all delicious! We had the fungi pizza, delicious pie. We split a dessert which was a light caramel yum. Not even certain what it was called but we deferred to our waiter. Great company, fun & delicious eats with smooth cocktails. It was a winning night. A little on the high price but good time was had by all. 4.7 stars. I've been craving Neapolitan style pizza and this place delivers. We've tried and loved almost all the other Frasca Hospitality Group spots so I had high hopes for Pizzeria Alberico. We made a resi for 7:15 on a Friday and the only spot available was the pizza counter, which I wasn't thrilled about at first, but I'm glad we sat there because watching the staff make the pizzas was mesmerizing. We ordered some drinks (Manhattan & house white wine - hello $4.5!), 2 arancini and the burrata for apps, 2 pizzas (Diavolo & Margherita Affumicata), side of prosciutto crudo, espresso martini, and 1 scoop each of gelato to finish. Everything was absolutely delicious! - Drinks were well made - arancini was hot, creamy, crunchy, and perfectly seasoned - the burrata sits on a bed of creamy pesto with arugula and is topped with little flavor bombs of balsamic pearls and juicy roasted tomatoes on the side. It's perfectly paired with warm, fluffy focaccia. A GREAT start to the meal. - the pizzas were both super enjoyable. The Margherita had a nice smokiness to it and the cheese was melty and gooey and crave-able. The Diavolo had such great variety of flavor and was a tad spicy (which I love). - HIGHLY recommend getting a side of prosciutto that they slice at the service counter fresh. It was buttery and melted in your mouth. We added it to our crust and dipped in the little sides of oil and cheese (make sure you ask for these on the side). The dough had great chew and flavor. Perfect little crust bubbles & not soggy or overcooked. The toppings were well-balanced and you can tell they're quality ingredients. - The gelato was creamy and tasty and you get a mega portion topped with a little cookie. We couldn't finish it all, but the flavors were excellent. Especially the Stracciatella. The atmosphere was busy, but not chaotic. They run like a well-oiled machine. Watching the staff cut the dough, shape the pizza, add sauce, cheese, and toppings and transfer into the wood-fired oven was like watching a dance. Really cool to sit at the counter and be entertained while eating. (I will say, the stools don't have back support. It wasn't uncomfortable but after awhile I needed to get up and stretch). You're sitting under a huge awning of basil so the scents are intoxicating. Service was good. Our waiter never told us his name, but he was friendly and attentive as well as offered helpful recommendations. The 4.7 is for the price. Our meal came to $157 which is more than I'd like to spend for pizza, but like I said the ingredients are good quality and you don't feel that heaviness you can sometimes feel after eating all that bread and cheese. My husband and I visited Pizzeria Alberico for the first time this month. We walked in on a weekend around 12 PM, and the place was empty, so we were seated right away. We started with the Mela e Cavolo Nero salad. It was well-balanced and reminded us of a Waldorf salad. We both enjoyed the apple cider vinaigrette that accompanied it. For dinner, I ordered the Margherita pizza from the Pizze Rosse section of the menu, while my husband chose the Funghi pizza from the Pizze Bianche section. When the pizzas arrived at our table, the first thing we both noticed was how soggy and wet they looked. I actually asked the waitress if the pizzas were greasy or if something had been added to them, and she explained that they top all of their pizzas with olive oil. I LOVE olive oil, but these pizzas were so soggy it was a major turnoff. We tried cutting into them, but they were such a wet mess that we resorted to picking them up. Unfortunately, eating them that way wasn't any better. We didn't enjoy either pizza at all--they were sloppy, wet, and didn't taste good. We both agreed this was the worst pizza we've ever had, and we won't be going back. read more

The best Neapolitan style pizza in the USA! This is so melt in your melt sumptuous and you can see your pizza go into the sizzling hot oven right before your eyes. One of my favorite restaurants in Boulder! Just went back after the remodel and it still reminds me of the old restaurant I loved. The burrata cheese starter was flavorful and I loved the bread. The artichokes were also really great. I can't believe I didn't find a single chewy piece. The arancini were also great. They were so cheesy and came out hot and crispy. The pizzas were also great. The peach one was on the spicy side which I love but do advise against if you don't like spice. The one with anchovy was a crowd favorite. The one with the zucchini blossoms was really good as well. Personally I do think that the pizzas are overpriced. For dessert we had the budino and peach Melba. Dessert here is my favorite and I will always get the budino. A visit to this restaurant isn't complete without one. The Melba was good. The frozen drink I had was really delicious and had a great consistency. Boulder has an incredible food scene. This spot personifies such. We recently stopped in for happy hour and we were not disappointed. I highly recommend the pizza, meatballs and Italian pilsner. The pizza is made with fresh ingredients, and you can watch it cook inside the pizza oven. The oven is the star of the show. It's gorgeous inside with a long bar. It's fun for meeting friends and enjoy some downtime together. You can also have a quiet date night at a table. You with your Aperol Spritz will look even more pretty just by being in the space. Visited Denver last weekend and ended up having dinner here one night. The atmosphere of this restaurant is so modern and classy, I love it! The pizza was delicious and super light! I ate the whole thing minus the crusts and I didn't feel over stuffed at all. My only complaint about this place is that I think the food is way too over priced for what it is. I believe my pizza was nearly 22-24$ just for cheese, basil, and tomato's. Hello again Boulder! For all of you who have not visited this restaurant-seriously-WHYYYY? This is one of my favorites in Boulder Colorado. We had the privilege of visiting again yesterday for Lunch and - WOW! New menu items!!!!! They offer a lunch special!! Picking two options from appetizer's and a pizza ( ahem - the margarita pizza is top notch!) menu as well as sandwiches! Yum! We actually had our hearts set on the dinner menu but our server asked the kitchen and they accommodated our request!!! What?!?!?! Yep - so cool! We enjoyed - of course-a margarita pizza (on the lunch menus btw) and AMALFI! The AMALFI was outstanding! Extremely fresh, lovely with the delicious thin lemon slices and the peas. Tasting of fresh, sweet yet creamy deliciousness. It was just fantastic! We asked for a wine accompaniment! Let me say NEVER hesitate to Ask your server for a wine recommendation here. They genuinely know their wine and never disappoint. As always , the service was 5+++++stars. Of course we ended our dinner with ARANCINI for dessert. These little balls of heaven are such a delicious and tasty treat! I cannot believe this place doesn't have 5 stars. We just got back from 3 weeks in Italy & this was better than the pizza we had there. They had so many gluten free options, too! Their happy hour had awesome choices - great wine, beer & cocktails & food. We had Negronis, arugula salad and olives. The olives were spectacular. They tasted so fresh and we felt like we were back in Italy. The arugula salad was perfect to split between two people , was adequately dressed and very fresh. We shared two gluten free pizzas - MAIALE NEL CAMPO OMG. Wow. 11/10 & probably one of the best pizzas we have ever had. The SALSICCIA was top notch & perfectly balanced. Finally got to try this spot next to Frasca! The inside is interesting and minimalist. It has vibes you'd find in a pizza spot in Italy. The staff all had smiles on their faces and were happy help whenever we needed anything. The food was good. We ordered a few pizzas and some apps. The star of the show was the Verdure Misti Friti. The Arancini were interesting. Anything saffron, sign me up! We ordered the NDUJA E CIPOLLE DOLCE which was the best pizza in my opinion. We also ordered the SALSICCIA and did mushrooms instead of meat. All the pizzas had incredibly chewy fire roasted dough. All in all it was a good experience. read more

We were super excited to visit Pizza Alberico. We were fans of Pizzeria Locale so we were excited to visit the rebranded restaurant. The inside is almost identical with some updates to match the branding. For drinks we got the Espresso Martini and the Alberico Dirty Martini. Both were good but nothing bc special. We started with the Prosciutto di Parma which was very good. We loved this at the old restaurant so we're happy that it stayed on the menu. For our pizzas, we got the Maiale nel Campo and the Funghi. The funghi was super tasty. Amazing cheese choice and the shallots added a nice touch. 10/10 recommend this pizza. The maiale nel campo was a bit too dry and salty. Wish there were tomatoes or something to balance out the flavors and moisture level. For dessert, we got the cannoli and the chocolate amaretto cake (off menu). The cannoli was citrusy and nutty. It didn't keep all the flavors of a traditional cannoli which was a bit disappointing. The cake was very light. Not your typical chocolate cake. It was good but also still prefer a traditional recipe. The staff was very nice and accommodating. Even on the first weekend, we were seated without reservations (5pm on a Saturday). We sat at the pizza bar which was a very fun experience to watch the fun kitchen staff (it did get warm though due to proximity to the oven). read more

Was in town for our first visit to Boulder. Walking through Pearl St. mall I was Very pleased to stumble upon Pizzeria Alberico. The inside was beautiful, the bar was very organized. It was lunch hour so we got the opportunity to see the chef making the pasta by hand. Their lunch was delicious! We opted for the Diavola and the Funghi pizzas with Caesar salad. Pizza crust was fabulous. Pixza con fungji was delicious. The salad made me vomit. The waiter did not listen to my request for absolutely no onions. The last time we were there, the kitchen made me a Caesar salad with olive oil vinegar and lots of garlic. This Caesar salad had shallots and onion in the dressing and I vomited repeatedly after eating some. This is the worst service I've had in Boulder in years. You get better service in a fast food restaurant. He just didn't care. The ambience was very busy and noisy. Perhaps that added to it. The check came to funds in the three digits for a very simple meal that made me vomit. This place is arrogant and full of itself.
