With a heavy heart, I have to say, this place has gone downhill. The burgers I originally reviewed as great and worthwhile have been downgraded into over the counter frozen patties, it's obvious. The price has stayed the same, quality has dipped SIGNIFICANTLY. I originally mentioned the auto 18% gratuity, which is not mentioned until you receive the bill, this went away at one point but now it's back, and again there is no notice on the menu at all. This place could be the one good craft brew / burger spots in the area, but it appears mismanagement and diminishing food quality will turn this place into a loud, annoying, last resort for anyone looking for quality food. I would recommend the wings over the burgers as they seem to have stayed the same, and at a lower price point I imagine they kept the same supplier. Long story short, burgers went from good to bad, auto gratuity came back, and honestly the servers tend to party and chill with regulars rather than sell food and take care of customers. It was loud on game days, now it's loud all the time, no longer a draft house, but if you are by yankee stadium it's sad to say this is the best place available. Solid lunch/happy hour spot. Our current obsession is the shrimp po-boy. At 12$ it's a steal for a lunch special. The roll (not a true po-boy roll but it's good enough) is piles high with perfectly fried shrimp, red cabbage slaw and a spicy mayo. Soooo good! The sweet potato fries are also delicious. Portions are huge. The happy hour is good too. They have at least 20 beers available, a full bar, good prices. Their seasonal beers are good - always like to try something new. It gets very crowded and loud but if you get there right at 5 you will get a seat. Service is a little slow at happy hour, probably because it's so busy. Last Saturday night I came here with two of my friends and our experience was pretty enjoyable. The place itself is on the small side but you don't feel squished. The decor is rustic & I loved the lettering on the walls. I had two margaritas, Buffalo wings, & french fries. The margaritas were strawberry flavored and were really good. The only downside was that they were definitely on the pricey side, $16 each. The wings & fries were decently good but nothing extraordinary. My waitress was nice but she seemed like she was new to the job. She took away our menus before we ordered which I found strange. Besides that we got our orders pretty quickly. I went on a Sunday afternoon during a non-Yankee game day. It wasn't packed as I was able to find seating both indoors and outdoors. Not sure why people are writing that the food was bad because my friend and I enjoyed everything we ordered. The fries tasted like they were made fresh. The shrimp tacos were yummy. I've been here before they actually expanded, when it was this tiny little bar but upon hearing about the expansion and the menu (my first visit they did not offer a food menu - years ago) I had to check it out again. Very spacious, comfortable seats. Very interesting crowd. Lots of professionals. Being that I live in the neighborhood I walked over around 3:30pm right before happy hour began. The beer selection is awesome. I must say, the menu is reasonably sized but making a decision on what to eat was hard everything sounds so good. Ultimately I ended up with the Poppin' Hot Popcorn Shrimp which were seasoned well & Yucca fries. My only qualm? The yucca fries were pretty undercooked . Other than that the bartenders were really helpful and pretty attentive given it was the first 70° + Friday afternoon of the year. I'll definitely be back to try the El Duque soon! read more

Let's begin with how inconspicuously hidden this place is among bodegas and the corner Crown Diner. Easily walked passed it. So once you enter it's as if you're in another realm of ambiance completely. Mood set, on to the grub. I had a magestic photoshoot-ready mac and cheese prepared for me in this adorable little cast iron pot (check image). This Mac is dissection worthy: unbelievable crispy crust on top that added the perfect layer of texture and crunch throughout the entire dish; loaded with thick pieces of non-flabby non-fatty flavor-packed bacon; and the cheese & béchamel were soaked into the pasta for full flavor. Folks, we have a winner. The Drafthouse Burger is a beast. A cheddar cheese beef patty topped with pulled pork, gandules (pigeon pea) paste, AND fried sweet plantains. It's the Bronx & Puerto Rican & Dominican infusion burger. The mozzarella sticks are nothing to write home about, they are basic frozen sticks of bar food. The french fries are 100% hand-cut y'all. No games. I haven't even gotten to the beer! Mill House was like having a pint of cucumbers and the Grimm was a swig full of sour apples. All super creative and unique beers. I stuck with the Firestone Walker Leo vs Ursus Inferos all night that drinks like a sweet hoppy IPA. The chef blessed us with some homemade ceviche and hummus crostini as well as this TO-DIE-FOR braised short rib pasta dish topped with fresh ricotta (tied for first place with the Mac, flavor was out of this world). It was like eating at home. And the chef and owners are incredibly hospitable, kind, and make you feel like you're in their own living room. Every time my wife and I come up for a Yankee game, we find ourselves here. Super nice Bartenders, quick drink orders and I love their food. This time we got Nachos and devoured them. The service works as a team, so even though they were getting to be super busy, it was all hands on deck and whoever walked by helped you (servers didn't just walk by because you're not in their ~section~). The food was okay. My boyfriend didn't really like his wings, said they weren't crispy enough. They did give a generous amount of blue cheese. Fries were good and my burger tasted fresh and cooked as I ask. NOTE: they have a smaller menu for game days!! Huge beer (and cider :) ) selection, including some Bronx locals. First of all I am a server and my co workers always tell me about Bronx drafthouse so I ordered my dinner here tonight . The food was good but the seamless delivered driver forgot my drink. When I called back the bartender Wilson was so helpful and made sure I recieved anything I was missing. That is amazing customer service and I was more than satisfied. I really want to love this place but...I don't. The space and location are good. The food is ok, but nothing special. It's exciting to see a place open up and stay in business a few years that serves more than Bud, Corona, and Presidente. The sangria on happy hour is good, but I'm interested in the craft beers. The selections change from time to time and are written on a chalkboard. The vibe here is inconsistent. It can get packed during Yankee games but almost empty of a week night or crowded with people who work in the courts. You never really know who or what you're going to get. It looks like it expanded in space to another storefront, but the bar always seems a bit tight when it gets crowded. It's an ok, even good place, but has potential to be great. Nice little tiny draft house. It's small inside but it has over 20 drafts on tap. The servers are nice. If you ask, they'll give you a sample. The drafts were no more than $9. This place has proven to be one of the highlights on our trip. Visiting from California we are big on craft beers. This place has done a great job showcasing the New York area craft breweries. The wait staff and owner were wonderful hosts, taking time to talk about the different beers and where they come from. The beers were fresh and well priced! The food was great as well. Having a family of four and visiting two nights in a row, we liked it that much, we were able to try a variety of menu items and everything came out tasting great. Having two little girls, 9 and 7 years old, it can often be a challenge finding a welcoming place to eat with a good food and beer selections. The worst place Grubhub has suggested to me! The food portions are ridiculously small and pricey. I ordered the surf and turf tostones and they gave me 4 shrimp, 2 tiny pieces of steak and TWO tostones for $14!!!!! I ordered two drinks and they sent one, the ketchup tasted like watered down marinara sauce and it took almost 2 hours to get my food! To add insult to injury my husband and I were still hungry after attempting to eat this mea which was taste less! So I finally got to visit this bar today. Wouldn't say my experience was horrible, but unfortunately I cannot say I really liked it. I went to the bar to play catch-up with one of my besties. We ordered calamari and wings. The wings are very small & the calamari was spicy - wasn't impressed. We then ordered a chicken sandwich to share and yuca fries. We asked for no mayo in the sandwich but on the side. The sandwich came out with mayo on the side AND in the sandwich. I only had a bite of my half because the sandwich was OD salty, yuck! Last part. I ordered chicken fingers to go for my boyfriend. He ate them and said it tastes like they cooked the chicken in the same oil as the calamari. I think he had like 1 more piece and he started feeling an allergic reaction and found a calamari :( I'm in no way trying to shit on the bar because I support my people's all the way. Almost $200 for 8 beers ($8/ea), a side of fries, and chicken fingers: that's what we were charged when my friend and I went to Drafthouse. We each put a card down at the bar and the total was charged to me, then my friend asked to cancel it and put the total on his card. We were assured my charge was canceled, however; it showed up on my account 2 days later WITH A TIP. I have called and emailed the bar, even went in in person and received no response (apparently there is never a manager there). If you risk going here - use cash.
