Our server was delightful! Food and drink were very good. Small outdoor seating down a short walkway.

Everything on the menu is Gluten free! I had a wonderful wedge salad with fried onion rings on top. My friend had a crab salad that was delicious. Dining is outdoors under a big umbrella in the center of Ogunquit with heaters available. Staff was fast and friendly. They have another restaurant down the street, the Crooked Pine. read more

I've loved everything I've had here. Fantastic salads, raw bar is excellent, the fried foods are all gluten free and so good. Loved the shrimp tempura with the delicious drizzle. Brix + Brine is always my first and last cocktail and meal in Ogunquit!!! Love this place for good drinks, friendly service and awesome food. The fried clam appetizer is the best in town and GF! I was afraid when I heard that Frills was closing that nothing could take their place in this spot but B+ B more than lived up to their predecessor's legacy! read more

The atmosphere was comfortable however it seemed to end there. No bread served with dinner for starters. The salmon was reasonably priced at $22 but it was a very very small portion served cool to warm. Flavor was lacking. My wife had the shrimp with sausage and penne. The substituted linguini at her request without an upcharge. The sausage was fatty tasting and somewhat loose in texture. The overall flavor was good. Another couple near us had the same experience with their salmom and complained to the server. The server, waitress in this case was friendly. Not sure how their complaint was handled. I did not complain. In retrospect I probably should have. All in all a let down. Frills was a much better restaurant and Brix and Brine was not a good dining option for us with so many other great restaurants in Ogunquit. Disappointed. Sorry Brix and Brine. read more

My first trip to this new restaurant and it was fantastic. I enjoyed sitting outside under the umbrella. The perfect mix between sun and shade. The menu selection for lunch had great variety. Ewmahgawd so slow. Entrees took ~40 mins to come out. Sadly, the pea shoot salad with the seared tuna and shrimp was overdressed and floating in dressing. Happily, The oysters were yummy. But it's hard to ruin oysters. Wouldn't return. read more

My husband and I went to Brix & Brine last night because we love Maine oysters. The bar was completely full so we sat down at one of the little cafe tables next to the bar and waited and waited and continued to be ignored by everyone that worked there. At a table beside the bar were 2 servers that were more concerned about rolling silverware than even making eye contact, never mind a greeting which should of happened by someone. Bartenders didn't even look up. Why would we want to stay there when there are so many other great restaurants in Ogunquit? So even though it is late in the season, it wasn't a staffing issue, there were plenty of staff on. It's a shame because we had been there 4th of July week and enjoyed it very much but this is now the second time where we really felt ignored. So instead we went across the street to Five-O where Gary and his staff took great care of us as they always do!! read more

Came with my wife and two kids. Wife has celiac, kids are picky, I'll eat anything. We were a little confused walking up, but the very polite host found us promptly and seated us. This is a small-ish outdoor establishment with all the local basics and a few extra touches. We started with pico & guac, and the kids ate some chips while I pretty much single handedly wiped out most of the dip. I'm not a big guac fan, but this was perfect. Often it's too wet and mushy, but theirs had the ideal consistency. Then for the meals, wife had fish & chips, which she can't usually have except at a place with gluten-friendly options like this place, and she gave it a thumbs-up. I had a haddock Rachel sandwich. The fish was too thick and so the sandwich ended up with awkward proportions of fish vs slaw/dressing in each bite. The components all tasted good though. Kids gave good reviews of their burger and fish. One liked the fries but the other didn't like the Old Spice seasoning on them. I thought he was nuts, they were good. Server Jamie was super nice and service was prompt but not scary-fast (we didn't have to panic that our food wasn't fresh). read more

Absolutely the best!!! The service is outstanding, the food is terrific and the drinks are fabulous. I had the lobster roll which was one of the best I have ever had. My husband had the shrimp bahn mi sandwich which he thought was spicy and delicious, definitely not your average sandwich. The cocktails are inventive and delicious my favorite was the Lady Mormont. Cute open seating outside with friendly staff but the food wasn't great. The kids ate their fries but were unhappy with their hotdog and cheeseburger. They didn't have a dedicated kids menu so each of these were $9 at lunch. The best part about the pulled chicken parmesan sandwich was the fried cheese. The kouli side wasn't great. My husband rates his fish and chips a 3 out of 5. I wouldn't eat here again. read more

This place is really cute, down driveway and behind a shop, next to an art gallery. Fun outdoor bar and eating area. I have celiac disease, so can't eat gluten and pretty much everything on the menu was gluten free (only thing was the bread on sandwiches, but you can get a gluten free bun as a replacement). Even the fries thugs are fried in rice flour, and no other gluten items are out it. Even the creamer clam chowder was gluten free! Prices were reasonable and the food was good.4 stars only because the entire place is outside, so inclement weather is an issue. Also the food, while very good, could have been seasonable a little more, but that is a personal preference I suppose. Went here twice and will be back again the next time we're in town! read more

Stopped in for a cocktail while shopping. Three of the four of us had drinks and the bartender was very friendly. My friend accidentally left his credit card at the bar after paying. When he realized the card was missing, he called the bank and the last authorized charge was at Brix +Brine. Typically a restaurant will put the card safely aside to see if someone claims it. Not this place. Someone went out and bought a new pair of shoes on my friend's card. So, either the bartender has new shoes or he did not keep the card safe. Dishonest either way. read more

Great place for a bite and a beer. Nice selection of oysters and the drinks are right on point. Always stop in here for a drink in the afternoon or before dinner and sit at the bar. Nice cozy feel almost like you are in a friends backyard and 6-25-17 was no exception. Chris and Cody were working and made us feel at home right away. They know the menu and Cody even talked us into getting something I wouldn't normally order, the Tuna Appetizer, he was right it was delicious. First day in Ogunquit. We strolled into town to find a place to eat lunch. We tried Brix and Brine. We did wait for service, but once our waiter took our orders, the service improved. Weather finally cleared up after two horrible days of rain and chill, it was nice and sunny out, so we enjoyed siting in their patio. We each ordered burgers, one with a salad side, the other with tabulleh. Both burgers were cooked to order with ripe tomatoes, juicy, but wished for more of a grilled taste. There is a wide assortment of sandwiches, small plates, and drinks. The next time we went there for lunch I decided to order their "haddock Rachel" which is a fried haddock sandwich dressed with slaw and Russian dressing. Tasty! Served on a potato bun, delightfully dressed, and served with my choice of a side- I went with potato salad this time (really good). Place now opens for dinner weekends, weather permitting. Prices remain reasonable. read more

Our first Lobster roll in Maine. Thoroughly delicious. I had the buttered lobster roll and my wife had the battered haddock and chips (fries). As an expat from the UK it warmed our hearts to see fish and chips on the menu. I had to have the lobster though. Sweet and juicy on an awesome buttered and toasted roll. I could eat it all day. The Hostess is extremely rude, they will lose a lot of business with her I would recommend going somewhere else .We ended up going to The Lobster House and it was great it also has beautiful seating on the water and they treat you with respect. From the moment we approached this much anticipated location, we felt a poor experience. The host was lounging on a beach chair with our soon to be server and another colleague. When we were trying to figure out who sat us is when he came and asked if we needed a table. Our server was pleasant, but not an asset. No specials were told as we ended up overhearing other servers read aloud. Our food came out in a reasonable time frame. It was fine, but nothing special. Not good enough for the price points. I had asked for a side of the pasta salad, which came out in a ramekin. They still thought $4.00 was deserving of this minute portion. My lobster crostini wasn't terrible at all, but the small 4 pieces didn't warrant the price tag. We had been considering this location a number of times. Knowing we would have came here at some point, I'm just glad it wasn't for dinner, leaving us hungry and out even more money. read more
