    I will always love an Asian inspired bakery but Breadbelly is objectively good! The Kaya bun had a strong flavor profile and was not too sweet which is what I was afraid of before trying. I would probably pass on their gyeranbbang next time but it was exactly what it said, cornbread with egg and cheese on top. Still - would love to come back to try literally everything else on the menu at least once. This location specific is great as well - spacious with lots of outside seating and a lot less busy than the other one. It is next to an indoor pickleball or tennis court so there is that lol. Def coming back!

    Been meaning to try their infamous kaya toast but the Richmond location always seems busy so decided to try it here instead. Easy to find parking here and no line on a weekday! Very spacious inside and plenty of outdoor seating. For some reason I imagined this to be the type of toast that you dip into a soft boiled egg mixture like in Singapore/Malaysia. Either way, loved the sprinkles of salt on top to balance out the sweetness of the pandan jam. Toast was a thick slice of fried honey glazed milk bread which was filling! Other pastries all looked good too. A little on the pricy side but worth the splurge!

    I visited on a Saturday around 10:00 AM and was pleasantly surprised to find no line and easy parking. They offer plenty of outdoor seating with several cafe tables and chairs. They have over 10 varieties of pastries, including some seasonal options it seems. I tried the Kaya bun, the kumquat twice-baked croissant, and a coconut yuzu macaron feuilleté. Everything was delicious! The Kaya bun was generously filled, and I loved how prominent the citrus notes were in the kumquat and yuzu treats. I'll definitely be back to try more.

    5% surcharge. 5/5: Kaya bun $7: All parts of it work: Great bun, filling, crust, and sugar crystals on top. 3/5: Breakfast Sandwich $14.50. It's kinda meh; all ingredients are uniformly mushy (no contrast with the bun), and the fermented pepper paste overwhelms the rather bland ingredients.

    I usually go to the Breadbelly in the Richmond but came to the Dogpatch location since they were doing a collab with Outta Sight Pizza at this location only. It was for the famichiki parm sando - a crispy chicken cutlet, mozzarella, chili miso marinara, mizuna, all on Breadbelly's signature milk bread. It was delicious! The chicken was nicely fried and still moist, it went will with the miso marinara sauce. I hope they do more collabs in the future! Compared to their Richmond spot, this location is a lot bigger and less of a wait. It has some seating outside and some inside the warehouse. I was there at 10:30-11am and there was barely any line.

    Got a few things here but the most iconic is definitely the kaya toast. I felt the toast was too thick but most folks love the thick milk bread under the swatch of kaya. The kaya had wonderful flavor and the flaky salt balanced it well. The dogpatch location didn't have a crazy line, and the food was out in a timely manner. The location is in a multi purpose hall so kinda industrial and office space like inside but pretty common to dogpatch areas. There is a decent amount of seating in the front and around the corner in the back.

    I came here with some friends and we loved everything. We loved the chicken sandwich and the Kaya Bun and all of our drinks were pretty tasty as well. I had the Karl's cappuccino hot, but my friend got it iced and I thought the iced was better. This area is in a very industrial part of the city, but parking wasn't bad and it was cheap. For one hour parking on Sunday it was $1.35. We didn't have to wait in line for long, maybe 5+ minutes. Staff was very kind. They have a lot of outdoor seating, but I would like to see more seating in the inside. It's in a very big warehouse with lots of empty space. My only reason for not giving five stars was because my friend spilled her coffee in the middle of the walkway between the entrance and where you pick up food and I'm not exaggerating when I say it was there for nearly 5 minutes before anyone got up to clean it. We noticed that the workers acted like they didn't know what to do when the spell happened, which was very odd. I think it's unacceptable to leave a spill for someone to slip and fall in the middle of your establishment.

    Checked out Breadbelly for breakfast on a weekend, there's limited parking with outdoor and indoor seating options. Ordered the biscuit smash, Kaya bun, and iced coffee. -biscuit smash (4/5): very filling, I really liked how they made the eggs with scallions. It added a different flavor compared to regular breakfast sandwiches. The biscuit was light and not super dense, also had a crispy top. It was a little greasy though. -kaya bun (5/5): floral and tasty! They were generous with the filling. You'll really enjoy this if you like Thai green tea

    Friendly staff with amazing pastries & drinks. Easy to find parking also. Tried the chocolate croissant, Kaya bun, monkey bread, and ham & cheese croissant, all were delicious. My favorite out of the bunch was their ham & cheese. For drink, I prefer a simple oat latte with half black syrup. Extra creamy. Typically, parking is available in front of their store.

    The dogpatch location is super cool! I like that it's right next to pickleball courts! The Kaya toast was bomb and probably tastier than ones I've had in Singapore purely because their bread was so fluffy and they were so generous with the Kaya jam! The Taiwanese fried chicken sandwich got a bit soggy but the flavor profile was really nice and tangy and spicy.

    Ambiance: this has housed in a huge warehouse/studio type of space, inside is a pickleball court, tables, and small businesses on the second floor. Parking: some street parking a block away , otherwise it's limited. Drinks: Got a matcha cappuccino which was good but didn't blow my mind, sesame cappuccino was really rich and thick which surprised me Ok now the FOOD: we ordered with our eyes and got a breakfast sandwich, kakiage egg sandwich, Kaya toast, and some pastries. Breakfast sandwich was so good with the fluffy bread and equal portions of crispy lettuce, protein, and egg along with some zesty sauce. The kakiage is like a sandwich with sweet potato tempura which is weird but WORKS REALLY well. Kaya toast was on this perfectly thick sliced milk bread. Pastries we tried later at home.

    This bakery is located in a cool space, and I really appreciate how easy the parking is. I've been here a few times and tried a variety of items. from drinks to pastries, but nothing has really stood out to me so far. The staff is always friendly, though, and the convenience keeps me coming back.

    I previously tried the Richmond location of Breadbelly last year, and it was so busy that all the items I wanted to try sold out early, so I settled for a latte. Flash forward to this year, I tried the second location in Dogpatch (according to website)/Portrero Hill (according to Yelp). The new location excels in a couple of areas. Specifically, service is A+, and there is way more space, which is a significant upgrade compared to the Richmond location. As for the food and drink offerings, they leave something to be desired. I tried one savoury baked good (gyeranbbang), a sweet pastry (rosy Santa Rosa twice-baked croissant), and a black sesame cappuccino. The gyeranbbang tasted just like a cornbread muffin with egg and cheese top. It could be elevated by adding some chili, but as is, it didn't wow me. The black sesame latte was overpowered by the coffee, and the black sesame was coarse and grainy, which made for a less than enjoyable drink. Despite not liking pastries with baked fruit, I gave the rosy Santa Rosa twice-baked croissant, a seasonal specialty I was informed, a chance, and it was the best. It was on the pricey end for a croissant ($10.25 for one), but it has a lot going on with hints of rose, guava, and plum. Overall, I think this new location of Breadbelly is an improvement on the original location, but for the price point (nearly $30 for 3 small items), I might as well just go to a sit-down brunch.

We'd heard about B&C lines but even this on a weekday morning was surprising. Overall the pastries were very good, I will say that the savory pastries rank higher here than anywhere else I've been, but the sweet pastries don't. We got the Strawberry Rhubarb Cruffin, Lemon Bluberry Bun, Potato Artichoke Croquiche, Bacon Egg & Cheese, and Sam's Blood Orange Olive Oil Cake. The Croquiche was my favorite of all of them, and it was great warm, with a nice creamy filling. From the sweet pastries, my favorite was the Strawberry Rhubarb Cruffin - the rhubarb taste wasn't very strong but it was overall flaky, not too dry (even when eating it later in the day), and the cinnamon coating also didn't clash with the strawberry, vanilla, and orange. Least favorite was the olive oil cake; it was slightly bitter and the olive oil taste was dominating. These pastries are very large. Split between 2 people 3 of them were enough for us to be so full we saved the rest for later. I also got the Brown Butter Butterscotch Latte (iced), I'm not usually a fan of coffee but it was really good (it's very sweet so as a non-coffee drinker that worked out for me - the syrups overpower the coffee taste). The inside is cute with a pastel pink theme, we were able to snag the two seats by the window. I also liked the merch for sale and got a small print of the storefront. Definitely worth going too once, but due to the line I probably won't return until a monthly menu comes out that has a lot of things I desperately want to try. It's a top 3 bakery in SF for sure.

Why take my money if you don't have it? Furthermore, is the best form of compensation just simply "what would you like instead?" Not exactly customer service oriented and lack of customer love.

Yelpess with the mostess Cherylynn was spot on when she said the buns need to be warm & eaten asap. This is key to experiencing a stellar treat over a humdrum one. On our 2nd visit they were hot. They were pillowy. They were divine. Gloomy sunset weather? It could be RAINING outside & I wouldn't care right now. It was a total 180. Butter. Do it! I suggest you go for the gold, kerrygold Irish butter. Matcha. I love matcha so it's an automatic order but it's a definite winner. Not too sweet, because matcha isn't naturally sweet. Custard. Hubby's favorite. He's a vanilla head, so... Salted egg yolk. Hubby's other favorite. I like, he loves. Ube. WOW. Better than the matcha which is weird coming from me. Then dip them in the side of custard that comes with. If you get extra to take home (& you should), all you have to do is be sure to reheat them as per the directions on the box. Just place them on a baking sheet lined with foil, or an oven rack (I've done both, both work), at 325 for around 10 minutes. I think 12-15 minutes is actually ideal. I couldn't believe how soft they were after this. Like new! The next day, after being refrigerated all night! I know weird, but fact! A couple of days later I requested that we go again next Saturday. Like when you were a kid & you couldn't wait for Friday because Friday's were pizza night. That crestfallen look my husband had was replaced with delighted satisfaction. Glee even. We went again the following Saturday. 5 stars

They all ask how the day is going, and one gave me $2 off! The bakery is well decorated from the inside and out. Our cousins were familiar with both bakeries and graciously volunteered to be our foodie guides as we drove to these two bakeries Saturday morning. After visiting Tartine and B Patisserie, Arizmendi was our final bakery and our last stop on our Bay Area foodie tour. Just like the other two bakeries, Arizmendi was a popular destination, it was different than the other two in the selection of the pastries, and I highly recommend their corn cranberry scone and their cheese focaccia. Arizmendi is also located in the Mission District specifically on Valenica and 24th Street. The bakery is in between a Royal gas station and the KitTea Cat Lounge. Parking consists of street parking and just like the other bakeries, parking could be challenging, but Arizmendi is worth the trouble parking and walking to this confectionary paradise. This bakery is a business where their baked goods are enjoyed at home since there is minimal seating. What's unique about this bakery compared to the other two is how the baked goodies are selected. It is self serve where it's a little hectic trying to maneuver around other customers to pick the pastries and breads you desire. The young black lady behind the register who checked us out was courteous, friendly, and took care of us quickly. As you enter Arizmendi, there are four wooden display cases with plexiglass holding scones, cinnamon rolls, muffins, pies, croissants, focaccia, cookies, and shortbreads. As you peer through the plexiglass to decide what to select, make sure to grab the provided wax to pick up your baked goods and place them in the provided bags. One of our friends asked us to grab scones, so scones were one of the items we knew we were going to purchase. My wife selected other items, but I asked her for a focaccia because my cousin said that Arizmendi was know for their pizza breads. I highly recommend you purchase their corn cranberry scones. These scones are hearty, the cranberry is plentiful, and I really enjoyed these while I was drinking a coffee at home. The focaccia I picked was a cheese focaccia made with poblanos, kale, and queso fresco. That square pizza bread was a savory revelation where I devoured that as snack after heating it in our home toaster oven. It was cheesy, the poblanos and kale were tasty, and I completely agreed with my cousin's assessment about their pizza bread. We're so grateful to our cousins for taking valuable time to serve as our foodie tour guides during our trip to San Francisco. Bay Area denizens are blessed to have three bakeries where they can satisfy their pastry, dessert, and bread cravings. We're fans of Arizmendi's scones and pizza bread.

It's like banana crack. It has caramelized parts to it, and you won't want to share it!! The double backed pistachio/blackberry croissant is a food group all its own. It's everything you want in a pastry! The Thai tea was just OK. Super pricey for the amount. It's not that traditional taste profile. The people that work at Neighbor big house are friendly, expedient with service, and this definitely needs to be on your secret places to try when you're visiting SF. It's not that we want to gatekeep, but you are gonna want all these pastries to yourself!
