So so so glad arsicault opened closer to me! It's so perfect it's by the park too bc you can just grab a pastry and enjoy the park! Soft goooey, flaky, airy croissants! Probably the best and my favorite in the bay. Also from visiting France and comparing, oh arsicault did a great job! Always get A plain croissant to get a baseline of if it's good or not, the flavoring can come in after. I love the almond and chocolate almond, but there's definitely something so good about the plain crossaint

I love bakeries! I got a dozen here to take home with me to So Cal. The line is long but I enjoy watching them make the pastries from the window. Amazing experience. Please come and create your own adventure.

Been going to Arsicault (on Arguello) for a long time now because they are easily the best croissants in San Francisco. I was in Mission Bay and saw they opened a location here and had to check it out. The shop is located on the first floor of a mixed use condo/apartment building and not only are the croissants just as good as Arguello, the staff are also just as friendly. So happy to have multiple locations.

I love love Arsicault and this Mission Bay location is even closer to me which makes it so tempting to grab a croissant anytime I walk past. My favorite is the og butter croissant, so light and buttery without feeling too heavy that you can't eat a whole croissant yourself. Be careful, it's super flaky so will make a mess while you eat. The chocolate is my second fav and what I get when I want to be indulgent but the blackberry hazelnut croissant is such a specialty here and really what I recommend everyone to try. Such a SF staple and worth the wait!

Arsicault never disappoints. It's been a while since I've had one of their croissants but we were able to visit this location and I was reminded why they're known for some of the best croissants in the area (and the country)! Went on a holiday Friday at around 10:30a where I was greeted with a long line but didn't have to wait too long. Got 4 croissants (chocolate almond, chocolate, ham and cheese, and blackberry almond hazelnut). My son inhaled the chocolate croissant that was still warm, flaky, and had a very even layer of chocolate spread throughout the whole croissant which was impressive. Other places would have a small block of chocolate in the middle and that's it. Needless to say, excellent croissants and highly recommend!

Blackberry croissant. That's the star of the show. Do not miss this. Friendly staff and delicious coffee too.

Not sure if I would coin this as the "best" bakery in all of SF but the almond, blackberry, and chocolate almond croissants that I ordered this morning were pretty decent for the most part. They were massive and lowkey a bit too sweet and buttery for my taste but I think I can understand why people have a huge penchant for them. Outdoors seating and indoor space is decent for the most part but they're pretty busy so you may not be able to comfortably find a place if you are there during a rush hour. $6/croissant isn't too bad, would likely not come again but definitely a worth it "one time" kind of visit when you are in the area.

Food is amazing and delectable! My favorite pastry would be the ham and cheese croissant. The texture of the croissant and the flavor from the meat and cheese complement each other. I would consider this a good breakfast meal. The blackberry croissant was rich in flavor both in sweetness and tartness. Service was incredibly fast and offers water inside if you need it. They have cute seating with their green and yellow motifs. This bakery exudes richness in both food and brand. Highly recommend and want to come back!

Fast service bakery and one of my SF favorites! Staff are very kind and efficient in packing and serving food. 5/5 - Kouign Amman - My personal favorite pastry at this bakery. The flavor and texture profile are both perfectly mastered. The sweetness is not overwhelming and is balanced through every bite. The pastry is flaky but not too messy, and I would highly recommend trying this on your visit! 4.5/5 - Chocolate Chip Cookie - This pastry can be a bit hit or miss depending on the batch, however, I thought the one I had this time was well-baked! The outside edges had a great crunch to chewiness ratio, and the inside was warm and chewy. The chocolate is also sweet but not overwhelming.

The croissants are the best!!! You even smell the butter and flaky goodness from outside the bakery! The ham and cheese croissant is pretty big and so so good. The almond croissant is tasty too with a bit of almond paste filling inside and loads of powdered sugar on the outside. The amount of flaky layers outside and soft fresh layers inside make it worth it to wait in line. But don't let the line scare you, it goes quick. When you walk in a serve asks to take your order so they can prep and bag them before paying. I bought 4 croissants (plain, almond, ham & cheese and blackberry) for $25.

Arsicault Bakery has exceptional coffee and fresh creative pastries and bread. I found this middle gem in the Mission Rock neighborhood across from Oracle San Francisco Giants stadium while walking from Golden State Warriors Chase Center. Honestly, don't think I would have known about this very sleek, clean and efficient Cafe nestled near the Visa building which I can still remember was a vacant parking lot for Giants games. The staff was very helpful at this quick counter service with both sweet & savory selection. I choose the cranberry scone and ordered a cappuccino. My order was ready fast even before I was able to take photos the interior & exterior. Nice! My cappuccino was warm, foaming and very delicious. Excellent! The scones was still warm from the oven. Flaky, filled with many cranberries and very satisfying (I am usually not a dry scone expert yet loved this semi-sweet offering. So if you are ever near Mission Rock across from the Giants stadium popped in and enjoy enjoying your treat on an outside Cafe table "Arsicault Bakery is a renowned French bakery in San Francisco, founded by Armando Lacayo and named after his great-grandparents, who operated a bakery in France over a century ago. Famous for its high-quality, buttery, and flaky croissants, the bakery is recognized for its traditional offerings:

Ambiance: A very well lit bakery with some limited seating outdoors and a high top counter on the inner wall to stand. The bakery is filled with good displays of the pastries with ability to see into the back as well. Wait time: Notoriously an extremely crowded place which proved to be true when going. You can expect a line of 20-30 people to get in and order, but the line does move quickly. Service: The staff are extremely nice and friendly with good knowledge on baked goods. Food: These are probably some of the best croissants I have had in the Bay Area. The bread is extremely flaky and light with the taste of freshness. Both the chocolate and almond croissants fillings were flavorful and not skimpy on the filling. The Kouign Amann was also just as good but the croissants are another level of perfection. Coffee was very okay and I was not impressed with the flavor of the Mocha I got and didn't really taste the mocha at all. Would definitely skip the coffee and just get the baked goods instead trying a local coffee shop instead.

The croissants are huge! Waited in a long line out the door but it was quick about a 20 min wait. Tried the ham & cheese croissant which was super buttery, huge, cheesy, warm, and delicious. The chocolate almond croissant was also so good, so much powder sugar, so fresh and warm, such huge amounts of almond paste inside and the chocolate is so rich. The morning bun tasted like a Cinnamon Toast Crunch in a bun!

It ended up taking us over two hours to get our pastries, and by the time we reached the front, some items had already sold out. This time, we decided to arrive right when the line opened at 7:45am on a Friday. Personally, I'd rather get there early, wait a little over an hour, and have the first pick of pastries than arrive later, wait even longer, and risk missing out on items. We were the third party in line and placed our order around 9:05am. By 9:15am, we had our pastries and drinks. After our first visit, I wasn't completely convinced the wait was worth it. The pastries were good, but the long line and wait time didn't feel justified. This visit, however, may have changed my mind. We ordered: * Madame Lorraine * Chorizo & Tot Croquiche * Morty P * Strawberry Vanilla Bean Bun * Pistachio Cardamom Sugar Croissant * Rocky Road Double Chocolate Cookie * Classic Croissant We also got two drinks: the S'mores Mocha and the Cherry Vanilla Almond Cappuccino. Don't skip their drinks, their specialty coffees are just as creative as their pastries. I really appreciate their rotating menu. Their pastries are always so creative, and I love that they experiment with unique flavor combinations that you don't typically see at a bakery. Some items are definitely more memorable than others, but I enjoy that there's always something new to try. Their pastries are well executed. The croissants are flaky and buttery. This visit, my personal favorite was the Chorizo & Tot Croquiche. Overall, this visit was a much better experience than my first. If you're willing to wait in line, I think it's worth checking out. Otherwise, you can always try your luck with their Hotplate presale.

The bakery was pretty quiet when it first opened, but after COVID it gained popularity on IG and now there is almost always a short waiting line here. There is also another location in Fremont. [Parking]: Metered street parking only and the shop is located in a busy part of the neighborhood (Irving Street Chinatown aka the "Third Chinatown"). I got lucky and immediately found a 30-minute metered parking spot nearby. [Ordering]: There was a short waiting line, but luckily it moved fairly quickly. Be prepared to place your order as the staff did not really answer my question when I asked "What are the most popular items here?" Customers can also place online pickup orders via the bakery's website. [Menu]: Per Pineapple King Bakery's Top 10 Items list and Square online menu, some of the most popular items include Guava Butter Pineapple Bun and Croissant Egg Tart (Portuguese egg tart). All drinks come with a complimentary Pineapple Bite. *** Egg Custard Tart (regular HK egg tart - $2.35): A solid egg tart, but it wasn't very flaky and tasted cold. Croissant Egg Tart (Portuguese egg tart - an upgrade of the traditional egg tart with croissant crust and caramelized top, $3.90): Definitely an upgraded version of regular egg custard tart and the croissant crust made all the difference. Guava Butter Pineapple Bun (one of our most popular items - cold, sweet, and smooth butter inside a warm pineapple bun - $4.65): S-tier bun with a soft & pillow-like texture. Hot Hong Kong Milk Tea drink with a complimentary Pineapple Bite (small, regular sweet - $5.25): I sampled the drink and it had the right balance of slight black tea bitterness and a hint of milk with just the right amount of sweetness. *** Top-notch pineapple buns and I can definitely see the appeal. Now that I know the drink comes with a complimentary Pineapple Bite, I actually prefer pairing the Pineapple Bite with the drink rather than ordering pineapple buns with various fillings on their own.

I've always wanted to try this place since I see a line every time I walked by. There's a lot of foot and car traffic. It's definitely a busy area so expect to park in one of the nearby residential areas or be extremely and walk/bike/bus here! Upon stepping into the tiny shop, I was enveloped in the sweet smell of chocolate chip cookies. It was tempting to put that in my bag, but I stuck with my game plan. They do self serve for all the baked goods and drinks except the pizza and focaccia. You tell the cashier what you grabbed. There's self serve complimentary water on the side too. Got a pecan swirl, one of each square focaccia flavors, and a half pizza (hot). The pizza flavor of the day was triple mushroom with sesame ginger garlic vinaigrette and mozzarella. It was 10/10 delicious!! Do note that they don't heat up the focaccia. Personally, after tasting everything, I'd say the pizza is more worth it than the focaccia "pizzas". The pecan roll was quite addicting too. You can also skip the line if you want to order online on their website and schedule a pick up time, but my gift card didn't work so I just waited in line.
