My first time in this Store and I was greeted so warmly by Julia! She gave me Great advice on boots, and was extremely knowledgeable about the store. She let me know that they have Layaway which definitely made me happy because I found a good "starter" boot but wasn't quite ready to spend the money at that time ( although they were at an AWESOME price) of course I put them on layaway! She also helped me purchase my Country Fest tickets! It's my first concert ever and was so happy that she and the other staff member were there to share that moment. Usually staff is okay in store nothing above and beyond but usually willing to help you out. But today i tried calling to check on an item i had the style number and i just needed to know if they came in (they were out of this item on a previous visit i made) Dawn answers the phone, i ask how often they receive new inventory, um yeah daily is the reply. Then i asked if they could check to see if they got the item I'm looking for. She says sure let me put you on hold first. I sat on hold for 15 minutes before finally hanging up. My husband likes to buy his work boots here. No one ever comes over to ask if you need help, but he knows what he likes so he just tries them on and goes about his business. This last time he noticed that the lettering was missing from the insole of the boot, but all the other boots (none of which were in his size) had the writing. It's like someone had worn them and returned them. He asked if they had anymore in the back and the girl said no but she could order them and we'd have them in a few days. My husband didn't feel like waiting so he got the boots. At check out he asked if they still give a discount for union members and showed her his card but they said that they only give the discount to union members if you live and work in Las Vegas. Wow! I'd never been in a Boot Barn before. My cowboy hat took flight on a highway after it was left on the roof of the car (not to throw anyone under the bus, but it wasn't me that did it). The hat was retrieved and survived. But the hatband is out there somewhere. My hat looked pretty neked without a band. When I walked into this store, the staff was very friendly and pointed me in the right direction. They also gave me suggestions on cleaning my poor hat. So besides getting what I needed, I had to roam around. They have so much stuff! But don't get me wrong, it's very clean and organized. I'll be back for more goodies, I'm sure! read more

I went in here looking for a decent pair of boots, not really knowing what I wanted. They were pretty busy, and maybe a bit understaffed for the afternoon. That being said, the sales associate, Monica, took great care of me - making suggestions, bringing me boots to try, etc. I couldn't have found a pair I liked and fit without her help. Yes, I'm a fan of Boot Barn and I'm not cowboy by any stretch! But sometimes I need something a little bit country and here is where I will always go to find it. My most recent pinch was an invite to a Western-themed party and no tengo nada Western-wear. Off to Boot World I go. Spent about an hour in there trying stuff on. Wrangler, Cruel Girl and Levi jeans are bargains compared to designer lines and I think they're just as cute. Something about the label Cruel Girl resonates with me...anyway... There are a huge variety of tops, most are size "tight" to show off youthful figures but I found a few that were flattering to those of us who've been on the planet for a few more revolutions. Everyone working there was friendly and helpful and made me feel comfortable, even if they were secretly wondering why I was in there for so long (geez I tried on about 15 pairs of jeans). At the end there was a tall, dark, handsome cowboy behind the counter that made checkout a real pleasure! Yeehaw. Ended up returning the ankle boots, they were just too pointy, my toes couldn't handle it. Hubby got some boots and a Carhartt shirt instead, so my loss was his gain. She greeted me with a warm hello and patiently searched through so many styles and she was absolutely amazing! The ladies at this location made me and my family feel extremely awkward, they offered no help and only looked our way to visually examine our stroller and ensure we didn't have anything hiding in it. We are of Mexican descent and personally think that was the reason why we got this 2nd class citizen treatment. Just when we thought our experience couldn't get any worse, Jesse came to save the day, he was extremely nice, courteous and offered great customer service. If I could complete this without stars I would; unfortunately I have no choice.. I normally purchase everything via Sheplers or Cavenders online because I am very familiar with them as I am from Texas. This time I noticed that if I ordered jeans online from Sheplers I could pick them up from Boot Barn.. Cool, right?! NOPE!! I received an email about three hours later advising me my order was ready.. we called to add a pick up person to the order and was advised by a gentleman with a British accent to ignore the email as they haven't received any shipments in. I tried to explain to him that it was a buy online pick up in store and he just kept saying that nope my order wasn't ready and I'd receive a call within two days. He didn't even ask for my info to know if it was ready or not!! That was Sunday.. Monday passes.. then Tuesday and Wednesday.. No call.. I finally call on Thursday and got the same run around and finally had to ask the young lady to just please listen.. FINALLY after listening and not interrupting me she realized I purchased an item out of their stock and went to check on my order. Imagine my surprise (sarcasm) when she said it had been ready since SUNDAY!! (The day I received the email). I then asked if I could add an alternate person for pick up and was advised that all the person would need is the email confirmation. Okay cool!! Again, NOT the case. My family member showed up today to pick up the order with the email as advised and was told by an older lady with glasses that she couldn't help and that was the wrong information given. When she was advised of the issues from the get go she said, " Maybe you should've gotten a manager or something." EXCUSE ME?! From beginning to end this is THE ABSOLUTE WORST CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE EVER!! I had never liked shopping Boot Barn because of the lack of variety and knowledge of the employees, but now.... The INCOMPETENCE and RUDENESS of the employees reminded me once again why I will NEVER shop here again even if you paid me. I'll stick with ordering online as I have done all along. Boot Barn is a joke!! And I can't believe Sheplers actually sold out to them.. Bottom-line.. if you want service that is terrible visit this Boot Barn.. Boot Barn is an amazing place to shop! I was surprised by their huge selection of boots and shoes, the awesome selection of clothing they carry and how much the sales people know about their products. If you have no idea how to buy a boot, they can help you get it just right while making it fun and informative (now I know how to fit my kids' shoes better!) And, I have never seen so many different styles of jeans for women! I thought I'd be lost in all of the choices but they stepped right in and helped me get fitted super quick... I loved their "fit clinic" attitude that was focused on getting it just right for me and they took their time... no rushing to get me to buy something and get me out. They have beautiful tops that aren't that dispoable stuff the malls are selling (can we say Forever 21?) and I felt confident that my money was well spent since the tops would wash and wear over and over but still look great. Definitely a case of you get what you pay for and this was quality AND stylish. The mens clothing offering was huge too and I saw that they carry more than just the standard western jeans but had Levis and Cinch which was a bit more 'dressy' for guys. I found XXX large shirts, TALL shirts and even jeans in a 54 waist for guys. Wow! I also saw that they have a large area of workboots and their salespeople knew all about those too! My guys love CARHARTT and I think that Boot Barn must carry the biggest selection I have ever seen so I can do my one-stop shopping here on those work clothes. And, just to top it off they have hats... lots of hats... and the most adorable kids clothing I have ever seen. I had no idea they made such teeny cowboy boots to go with itty bitty jeans. And did I mention the sales people??? I was surprised at how nice they were and how they patiently just kept helping me find what I wanted, no pressure but friendly professional service. Makes me wonder why Home Depot and other stores can't step up to those standards?? I also got a Rewards coupon for spending $50 which means I have a really good coupon for my next visit and I can use it on sale items. I love coupons I don't have to clip! Overall, I appreciated their outstanding customer service, their willingness to help me learn about product so I knew what I was buying and I felt that I truly got a value for my hard earned money. Be prepared to be put second to the personal conversations held amongst the sales associates and their picking and choosing of who they want to pay mind to. I stood for several minutes waiting for the bathroom key while my husband was shopping for his third pair of boots we would have been purchasing for him in the last few months. Two associates watched me walked back to the bathroom while they were standing there speaking Spanish talking about applying to other jobs, unaware others who speak Spanish can understand them (myself included). When I realized I needed to be given access to the bathroom, I walked back by them and asked how I could be able to use it. They sent me to the front counter for the key and continued their conversation. I stood there at the front while TWO associates helped ONE guy find a belt buckle. Finally, annoyed that I was being ignored, I walked away at which time the first girl passes by and asks if I got the key.. of course, the other girl at the front helping assist the man reminds her the bathroom is out of service. I stood around for 10 minutes to be told that the bathroom was out of service because they were either too busy to relay the information, or too busy focusing on personal conversations. While checking out, the girls continued to have conversation amongst themselves, lacking any interaction with us, then finally looked our way before it was time to pay and tried to sell us a credit card. Not to mention their conversation consisted of taking negatively about someone who "looked crazy". The people who work at this location lack respect and professionalism and focus only on benefiting themselves. I regret spending the money we've spent there. We won't be returning. read more

Showed up last night 06.13.18 right about 7:50pm, waiting for my wife to show up couldn't have been more than a couple minutes. Girl's inside had locked up. Picked this location knowing they had the boots I wanted in stock. Wouldn't open the door to help a customer. Being a Service Manager for a commercial tire dealer here in San Diego sometimes you have to open those doors to take care of that one last customer. It's called good business. I have been to this store twice and both times the employees were extremely nice and patient with me. I have a hard time buying boots since I have a problem with one of my ankles. The first time a guy was helping me and after trying to find something my foot would go into I left with my first pair of boots! So happy! They are so comfortable I am now addicted to boots!lol Yesterday I went in to get my second pair. Still a little nervous because my selection is pretty slim. Elizabeth was so nice and helped me try on a ton of boots. To the point where I told her she didn't have to stay with me this long. She said it was fine and kept helping me. She asked why I wasn't looking at the fancier more girly boots and honestly it was because I never would think I can get my ankle into them. I love boot barn! The store is clean and well organized. There are ample boot sizes and styles as well as great accessories and jeans. And as expected they are always streaming good country music. What I love most is that the mix of Country and trendy styles. you can get Wranglers or Miss Me jeans. And the customer service is spot on! This has been my experience so far with boot barn..... About a month ago, I tagged along with a friend to browse the boots at Boot Barn. We were greeted by Chris and explained to him that we were just there to browse and try on sizes. My friends dad was going to get her new boots as a birthday gift but wanted her to go look at sizes and styles first. Because we explained we weren't there to actually purchase anything I expected him to move on to the next customer where he could make a sale. But suprisingly he stayed with us and took his time explaining all of the styles and soles and benifits of each. He even went as far as showing us his trick to get on the boots that started off too snug, educating us that they will stretch with use. And even though I had'nt planned on purchansing anything I walked out that day with a new wallet and boot barn card. Fast forward to Christmas and guess what my hubby got me?? New boots! Well, they were a size to big (I knew they would stretch because of my previous visit to BB). So I took them in to exchange and Chris was there to help me again, he was just as friendly and informative as he had been during my first visit. We went over and tried on a few sizes again, since now I was shopping for me. They did'nt have tthe style I wanted in stock in my size so he had to order them. They came in the following week as promised. And now I am one happy girl with some great new boots! I am not a country girl, nor am I from East County, but a girl's got to get her Rockabilly on every once and a while. I was a little intimidated to go into Boot Barn, like they would take one look at me and say "City Girl!" I was wrong. I have been there three times and have been treated so well. The employees took so much time with me. The first time I went in for a western shirt for my husband, for a work theme party. The second time, I went in and got him a pair of boots for his birthday. The employee and I spent a lot of time picking them out. The third time, my husband to the boots back in for fitting and deciding if he wanted another pair.
