In the middle of El Cajon by its self. And there is no bathroom for the customers. Even in an emergency they would not make an exception.

At 4:59 on Saturday, March 8, 2024 I was in Your Parkway, Plaza, El Cajon location Vin store, where I entered the store the girl behind the desk Alicia, or something like that stood never greeted me. I walked up to the counter, pulled out the item and said I have a return no acknowledgment just looked at the item. I then pulled up a screenshot with the order number and the amount as per told through Customer Service , 800 phone number that I contacted a week ago to see exactly what to do and that's what they said to do because they could pull it up by the order number and she just refused and said you don't have the right paperwork can't help you and I said I spoke to Customer Service And this is what they told me to do. She was no that's not it and just at that same time the manager, I guess which you would not have known he was the manager Jonas walked up and was a straight talking to her ignoring me and I said I'd like to return this and and Alicia Alicia whatever her name is refused said I will not help her And Jonas then states I'll be back so then he goes to the back gone for about five minutes. She helped a customer I said is there anyway that you can do that she would not look at me she would acknowledge me she just put her hand lotion on would not give me iContact nothing I don't know what I said and all I said is I talk to customer service and they stated I can return it at a store. Jonas then came back And I said I don't understand how you have such rude customer service agents working for your store she goes. He then stated she's not being rude to you. I said she very much is she's rolling her eyes she won't acknowledge me. She won't speak to me and you're the one having to help me that second. She turns walks behind him, mumble something in his ear and walks out of the store to the back room. He then is trying to do my return, which I have all the information asking for the credit card all kinds of things to do the return and I said I work in customer service 15 hours a day Over 1000 people I greet and talk to and I have never in all my 40+ years of Customer Service ever encountered anybody this rude in any state anywhere I don't know what I did all I did was walk in the store she refused to give me her name. He refused to give me her name. He said he's the manager he's in charge and he feels she is OK , I am very distraught. I am going to yelp this. I'm going to try to call you but you guys were closed. This is the location I come to the most and I always leave happy. I have come to just look around many times and I have also made many purchases. Their is always plenty of staff around to help you pick out the right shoes and to look for sizes in the back for you to try on. I have bought a paid of shoes here, my husband has got a few pairs and we have bought a few pairs of crib shoes for our son. We are always happy with the quality of our products for the price. The only negative is the size of this location. It is very small and hard to navigate with the stroller. It is hard without the stroller on a busy day, too. Overall, we are always happy and will continue to be Vans shoppers. read more

Be careful shopping here, the floor supervisor, Elizabeth Smith, refuses to help out guests in need, and will refer to customers as "that." To put in more context, I had a $6 balance on my gift card and wanted to cash it out. She immediately turned it down and said no. I came back a few minutes later, claiming that it's CALIFORNIA LAW to cash out anything under $10, where she then rolled her eyes and turned to another manager and groaned "Can you help THAT out!" - crazy that a SUPERVISOR at this location will refer to GUESTS as "that" - I'm a store manager myself and I take guest service VERY seriously. She should rethink this position and maybe work in a different field. I had to call customer service and speak to a manager there and had to have them call the store in order to get my cash out. HORRIBLE experience, go to the fashion valley or mission valley Vans, MUCH more enjoyable there! read more

I have been searching for the these black and white checkered vans in a very specific size for over a year, and every time I visit a Vans store, there are not in stock. Of course I know I can order them, but I felt it wasn't meant to be, if they weren't there at that exact moment in time. Luckily for me, this last time I went, they were there! Obviously the mall has been crowded as of late due to the holiday season, but luckily this store was fully staffed and although it is a tight squeeze in the store, you still had one on one customer service, and for that, it made my shoe shopping experience all the more pleasant. read more

Super great, location (east county) was a big draw. But during Covid there was a bit of line, they handled it great- pop up-canopies outside so people don't wait in the sun, and line went fairly quickly. We were in and out without much fuss. If I could give negative stars, I would. Immediately when I walked in, not a single employee was in sight except for a red headed girl. I walked in and asked a simple question and she didn't even answer it. She was older so assume she's the manager. Just when I was about to leave the poor girl who had been helping all the other customers came up and asked if I needed anything, she had a septum piercing and a maroon shirt on. I'm sure there are good employees here but the one employee I encountered ruined it for the whole store, and I'll never come back. There were three employees and three customers. One was just about finished at the register and one was requesting a size. The woman asked if I wanted a shoe and I said sure, I'll try the slim in an 11. She said "that shoe is only for narrow, NARROW feet" - okay. I say, so the regular, not slim, would be a NON NARROW equivalent? She says yes. I'm thinking for a second (literally maybe 2-3 seconds) because they look a little different and I preferred the slim and this woman acts as if the store is slammed, while holding the back door open with her foot she says, "Do you want the shoe or not?" My daughter was highly upset when we went to the Vans store at Twelve Oaks Mall yesterday around 5:30pm. She wanted to look at some high top Vans to get for her birthday next month so their were 4 associates all talking amongst themselves and she grabbed the shoe she wanted to try on. None of them paid attention to us so I kindly ask can any of you get a size 7.5 for her in this shoe. They were still talking and not paying attention to us. So I said someone, anyone can she get some help? So they looked at each other and the look on the face of the girl that helped was as if 'well I guess I have to' . Immediately after the girl went in the back my daughter said that store was racists. I told her don't think that way because all people aren't racist. Then the people that came in the store after us were being greeted when coming by the shoe area. Every last one of them but we didn't get a hello or can I help you with anything at all until I asked. Finally the girl came to us from the back letting us know they were out of her size and wanted to know if she wanted to go up a size. My daughter kindly shook her head no and I told the associate thank you, we will just go to Journeys. My 12 year old never wants to go to the Van store at Twelve Oaks again because their customer service towards us was terrible. I'm not calling that group of 4 young Caucasian associates racist. One of the best customer service I have ever seen. I was helped by what I believe was the store manager named Kevin. He was extremely helpful and was very wise with his product knowledge and knew exactly how to help my two little daughters along with my 17 year old. Wish I didn't have to give the entire store a bad review because of one person. This employee named Beth should not be working in customer service there. We changed our mind on a item we set up at the front desk while shopping and wanted a different item and she was so upset and acted VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. I didn't understand how it was such a huge inconvenience . I said sorry and She rolled her eyes at us and threw the other item on the ground. She didn't say one word to us and pretty much threw the bag at us with a Dirty look. I never want to go to that location again. I love vans store but I'm disappointed and hope a manager reads this so her behavior changes because paying customers don't deserve to be treated so poorly!
