To update previous review: I have avoided this location due to my previously noted concerns, but I was in a rush -and it's the closest to my house- I went there. They have done some remodeling and it feels a lot like a ROSS store now. Even more cluttered than before, and the same checkout layout, complete with zig-zagging you through a bunch of junky items before you reach a cashier. I went to customer service to return an item and was told they now ONLY DO AMAZON returns there. Customers have to wait in the checkout lines in the front of the store to do returns. So basically they made the situation even worse than before; worse than my previous review. read more

I have not been to a Kohl's in years. I was looking for a few things to pick up my mood. They had a nice selection, shelves were nicely stocked and faced. Prices were mostly easy to determine. Great beauty section. A lot more expensive than TJMaxx, Home Goods, Ross, etc. So, I didn't get to finish my pick me up mission here. Checkout wasn't too bad and didn't take long. Store was relatively empty. Plenty of close, easy parking. They had some cool stuff, it just wasn't the right price for my budget and what I was trying to do on this trip. This company is a joke! Not sure where to start or end for that matter. They scam customers into thinking Kohl's cash and online coupons are for most things. When IN FACT, there are more exclusions, fine print crap ... by the time one uses it... you save NOTHING! Overpriced, junk is what they sell! You can get a better deal at Goodwill! Their selection is better than other stores which is nice. Also plenty of easy parking. Not many people in the store as you shop but that's because they are all waiting in line to check out. It really shouldn't be so hard to give them your money. read more

I originally stopped by here after work to pick up some new boxers, but when I saw the outrages price they were asking for them, I decided to wait and buy some down the street at Target. They wanted $32.00 for 4 pairs of Hane's. I can get the same brand for $12 less at Target. It was not all a lost though, because I saw some cool Levi's decorated t-shirts. Always a great experience with the cashiers at this Kohl's. They are just so nice and helpful! I went in to make a return with Amazon...wasn't going to buy anything. Until...I saw something on sale that had my attention. Well, $138 later... My cashier was so nice the way she folded my items and said with each thing...'oh, this is a nice color' or 'such a cute top'. Nothing earth shattering but it really made me smile. Are you kidding me? The line to return items is wayyyy too long. I really am not interested in waiting the 30-60 minutes in one of two lines just to return an amazon item. I could tell you the line had like 30 people in it but I ran out of fingers an toes to count on...so go somewhere else if possible. Otherwise expect a long wait to get to a register, they only have 2 open by the way. Two for the entire store. Customer service is not something they know about here...I get better customer service from an automated teller system than I did at kohls. read more

" Wow ! Salma In Customer Service Is Amazing ! " I went to the Kohl's in Rancho San Diego today to return some shoes because I was sent the wrong size from the Kohl's warehouse. Salma was working alone at the customer service counter and was very quickly handling the 8 people in line. When I got to the counter I asked Salma to call the Kohl's Corporate offices to reorder my shoes in the correct size. As she was on the phone working out my details, she kept taking care of the people in line with their returns. Using her computer, scanning items, talking with the customers, and answering additional ringing phone calls to the customer service counter. She also at the same time was answering questions from other employees who were walking by the customer service counter. She was actually doing 6 things at one time ! What an employee ! Great customer service! Excellent return policy looked up my shoes without the box or receipt because I charged it on my Kohls credit card. Three different associates helped me out from customer service returns to looking for something for my girlfriend to checking out at the register all were great. If you have a Kohls charge and forgot your coupons they will let you do a scratcher to see if you get 20% or 30% off or 15% off. They also have complementary gift boxes and gift receipts. Very friendly and patient staff and very helpful everyone was willing and able to help me with any questions I had. This is out of my way but I will definitely return one of the better more organize Kohl's I have been to. The return policy is everything comes back that was bought here! read more

What an experience today was I lost my Kohl's cash coupon and came to the store to inquire on what could I do. I went straight to customer service and was greeted so pleasantly by Teresa (NOT) . She told me that i needed to call Kohl's. Com and they would be able to help me. I then sat in the store and called and of course!!!!! Anna the representative told me that since the store gave it to me. They have the ability to take care of me. I put it on speaker so TERESA could hear. Anna apologized. I absolutely love Kohl's I typically go in and leave with way more than what I intended. Almost 100% of the time they have what I need, and if not I can always order it online. However, Kohl's Rancho San Diego seems to practice discrimination. The associates just followed my daughter and I around the store the entire time we were there. I came iwith my own shopping bag containing a oair of shoes to exchange for my nephew. I worked at Kohl's as 2:7 and in the cash office. And even worked at the rancho San Diego during the holidays. im super disappointed. Oh, the sales floor associatee should turn their headsets down (let's just say that). I have purchased clothes from this store twice in the past year and both times when I washed the items they came apart. I didn't dry them. Usually they are good and returns but this time Claret wouldn't allow me to return my item because it was on my husbands charge card and he wasn't with me. I was able to return items a month ago without him and without his charge card with no issue. She said it's a new policy that started a couple months ago. Too bad I did this with in a couple months. I came to this kohls the past week about 3 times to start shopping for the holidays, I've went to buy a couple things however their amazing quantity of gifts clothes and accessories amused me to buy many wonderful things that will put a smile on my family and the kids. The best part of this shopping experience is the end. Sadly I forgot my 30 percent off in addition to all the sales they already provide. However the very sweet cashier named Karam gave me a sweet deal and ended up counting the 30 percent for me. I really liked this young man not only because of the deals but because of the service, how nice he was to me and even the little things such as dressing nice. I like Kohls I used to come to this location in Rancho San Diego/El Cajon a couple times a month with my 80 year old grandmother. She loves poking through the deep clearance racks and she looks for her coupons to combine and get a killer deal. Now I have had a problem with SOME, not all of the cashiers being rude to me and my grandmother. I'm assuming this is because the line is a mile long and an 80 year woman goes a little slower. They also get weird and have attitude about coupons its like they have a problem with you getting items too cheap. That being said the store clearances the merchandise and let's you use coupons on top of it, how is that something I did wrong? I've also had a few shady encounters with a red headed cashier that worked in returns. One time she told me because I paid with Kohl's cash that I wasn't entitled to a refund, but if I didn't want the item she would take it. There's a couple of problems with that scenario but I did get my store credit,I just had to go to a less shady Kohl's. Meaning I had to leave the El Cajon location and drive to the one in Santee. Anyway, I just shop online or go to the one in Santee now. read more

The prices are great I love the 10% discount and Kohls bucks I'm you really save a lot of money through the app on top of the dead little discounts this in the in the mail or through email as well. There in stock with a lot of their products him some products there aren't because they're fast sellers so that's to be expected, but besides that I pretty much try to get everything I can from there because I've pretty much found the lowest prices and the lowest total I have for when I'm checking out so it's a win-win situation. read more

This was a great store. The customer service people were friendly and efficient, and the selection was pretty good. They could do a better job cleaning up the clearance racks, but I can't blame them for the stupidity of the customers who just mindless move things around anyway. Gotta love Kohl's Cash, MVC coupons, and the clearance racks! The only thing I really have to complain about is their lack of size options for men, but this is a pretty common problem in these stores. I don't think I am that odd of a size, but there are NO pants with lengths over 34 in the entire store, and I only found one of those but the waist was a bit too small. With everything going to the "slim fit," the size needs to be a bit bigger for any normal people to fit! read more

Very nice store and only crowded on holidays. I love their Kohls cash. you buy something then the give you play money you can come back on another day. Nice place to shop. I bought luggage and candles. On holidays expect a line at the check out. On the way into the store lady says they're closing I work there and they are closing. It's 8:45pm and yes they close in 15 minutes but they are open now. Disappointed to see the manager on floor be rude to her employees and customers. Kohl's is one of my favorite stores, I buy at kohl's all year long but today the experience was not the best. First I asked 3 different employees questions about the promotions and the answer was "I don't know" from all 3 employees. I was disappointed but at least they were nice and I understand some stores hire people for the holiday season. So I went on line and got most of the info I need it, I still had one last question so I went to customer service for the 2nd time hoping to get my question answered and be able to complete my transaction. What I found was a manager been super rude to her employees ....well that was happening, one of the employees was trying to help a customer In front of me, it look like the customer had questions so the manger jump in to the conversation and sure enough she was super rude to this person as well. If the manager is not happy with her job, she should look for another one, their is no need to be rude to her employees and even worse the customers. How can employees be more professional and nice to customers than the manager... unacceptable! And also unacceptable for a manager to mistreat her employees specially in front of customers. I really like kohls because it has everything you need with very good prices. The employees are very nice, friendly people. Last time i went to kohl's i bought 2 shoes, and like 4 shirts, i had coupons and some kohls cash too, so instead of spending at least $150, i only spent like $40 which is amazing savings.
