THANK GOD I WENT TO THEM!!! She was able to alter my *very expensive designer gown, purchased at a trunk show* when no one else could.

Yelp needs to update their reviews for this place -- anything less than 5 stars doesn't reflect their service or quality of work. I am genuinely shocked to see anything less than 5 stars! I would give a million if I could. I splurged and bought a very expensive, designer wedding gown from a trunk show in Orange County. It had this gorgeous, unique/custom lace pattern and as soon as I put it on, I knew it was **the dress** even though it was over my initial budget 0:) spoiler: worth it! Haha the problem was I needed to get it altered and couldn't afford to spend thousands of dollars by going through the dress boutique + having it done in time for my wedding! (Scammers.) Anyways, I was BAWLING MY EYES OUT when I took my dress to other tailors and they told me they wouldn't be able to help since it would mess up the lace pattern (there were a ton of individual pieces, which required each one to be removed so the dress could be altered, and then resewn on). My dad, desperate to comfort me, took me to this shop since he's always had a great experience and loved the owner. Sure enough, she saved me!!!!! Dress fit PERFECTLY and it only cost like $200. This review is long overdue (got married in the Fall of 2019... I KNOWWWWWWWWWW) but I hope all you brides out there come here for wedding dress alterations! She did a killer job and even added a bustle for my long-ass (beautiful) train hehe TRUST ME, THEY WORK MIRACLES AT THIS SHOP!!! Forever grateful for their work :) still obsessed with my wedding dress and so glad I spent the money I did **becauseeee** Elegant Formal made it fit just right.. making it totally worth it!

We had the best customer service ever. My son was very nervous looking for a tux for prom night and the people at Elegant Formal were great.

Unfortunately, I'm horrible with remembering names, but I was there January 10th and my appointment was at 3:30 PM (hope this helps get her a shout out). She made great selections based on the style I wanted and I ended up choosing the 3rd dress I tried on. This was my very first wedding dress appointment and I was suprised to have found the perfect dress so quickly. The prices were also very reasonable compared to other places I was looking into. Definitely recommend Prevue bridal!

I drove over an hour in heavy traffic with a friend to shop for a wedding dress and was turned away…read morebefore even making it through the door. On Tuesday, March 3, I called at 3:27 PM while driving from the UTC area. I saw 3:30 PM and 4:30 PM appointments available, indicating they were fairly open that afternoon, but explained I wasn't comfortable entering my credit card information online because reviews mention a strict 15-minute late charge policy. I told the associate I would try my best to make the 4:30 PM slot, and that if other brides arrived before me they should take priority. I also said that if it looked like I could arrive within the 4:45 PM grace period, I would enter my information while driving. I was communicating proactively because that day a fiery fatal tractor-trailer crash shut down southbound I-805 near I-8 for roughly 12 hours, creating traffic chaos across San Diego. As traffic worsened on the 52 East, my ETA slipped to about 4:48 PM. At 4:25 PM, I called again to explain that I likely wouldn't arrive before 4:45 PM and wanted to avoid being charged the late fee. I asked what options were available. I was simply trying to communicate proactively and avoid being charged for something outside of my control. I was repeatedly told that because I was not already in their appointment system before 4:30 PM, they could not help me at all. I suggested several reasonable options: (1) marking me as arrived so I could finish driving safely, or (2) simply working with the situation, but every suggestion was rejected. They offered to apply the $50 late fee towards a dress, but couldn't answer what would happen if I didn't find my dress there. The conversation continued in circles. At that point I was about 10 minutes away and would have arrived at 4:48 PM, just three minutes past their grace period. Despite calling ahead, communicating honestly, and making every effort to come to their store, they refused to accommodate me. My friend had come with me to help look for a wedding dress, so the situation unfortunately wasted both of our time. We ended the call around 4:40 PM, and I turned around and drove home. Ironically, at 4:45 PM, the store called back with a workaround: if I made an appointment for the next day, they could simply mark me as "arrived" in their system and take me in immediately. This made it clear they had the capacity to help the entire time, but had chosen to rigidly enforce their process instead of welcoming business. When I pointed this out, I was told they have been in business for 40 years, which makes the lack of flexibility and basic customer consideration all the more surprising. Based on this experience, I'm glad I learned how this business operates before even walking through the door. It doesn't inspire confidence in how customers are treated once they've committed, and it's not the kind of experience that would make me feel comfortable trusting them with something as personal as a wedding dress.

I have been to Gypsy Treasure several times in the past, but this was my first visit since they have moved to the Grossmont Center location (apparently about five years ago). I came in about 5 days before Halloween, primarily in search of makeup and a crown for my Day of the Dead festival look. When I walked in, the place was pretty hopping. However, I was quickly greeted at the makeup counter and walked through the white face paint options, and given information about some of the various color palettes. After some conversation and deliberation, I chose a white water-based face paint and a couple of color palettes. One was glow-in-the-dark. I then asked about flower crowns, and was surprised to find that they only had one. It was one of those cheesy costume kits that came with skeleton hand gloves and skull earrings, neither of which I wanted. However, the price was pretty inexpensive, so I purchased it just for the crown. I looked around for a hat for my husband's costume, but couldn't find exactly what he wanted, though they had some pretty unique hats. Gypsy Treasure has a large selection of costumes for rent, which appeared to be of much higher quality than the costumes for sale. I saw several cute vintage dresses and hats for women, as well as some pretty elaborate costumes. I did feel that several of the costume items in the front of the store were the same quality you would get from any Halloween store. However, I would definitely return for makeup, or if I had costume needs outside of the Halloween season.

The whole mall feels lively in a way that surprised me, because every corner had something different going on that teenagers would enjoy a lot. When I walked through the main areas, I noticed so many teenagers hanging out together, laughing, taking pictures, and just enjoying the freedom of being in a place that feels safe and full of energy. The atmosphere there reminded me of the kind of spot where teenagers can be themselves without feeling rushed or judged. One thing that stood out to me was how many stores had bright displays and colorful setups that made the whole place feel more exciting. Even the seating areas around the mall had this relaxed vibe that made it easy to stop and take a break without feeling like you were in the way. I saw teenagers sitting together in groups, sharing snacks, showing each other things they bought, and taking fun photos around the mall decorations. Everything about the environment felt welcoming and easygoing, which makes it perfect for teenagers who love spending time somewhere that feels both fun and comfortable. It is a familiar mall to me, but I didn't realize how much there was to enjoy there until I walked around inside with a more playful mindset. I really appreciated how easy it was to have fun there without feeling overwhelmed. The whole experience felt smooth and comfortable, and I never doubted that the visit was going to turn out the way I hoped it would. I only visited Parkway Plaza one time in my life before I made this review, but that one visit was enough to show me how enjoyable and welcoming it is. It was one of the most lively and teen‑friendly places I've been to in a long time, and I would highly recommend that even teenagers go there because it gives them a place to hang out, walk around, shop, take pictures, and feel creative.

This one is inside a mall... an inside mall (sorry I'm use to the outdoor malls) and didn't expect to walk inside and inside mall. The mall was near abandon but it's a nice mall and very spacious. From the outside you think it's just a few big stores but on the inside many small stores but also many vacancies. There are eateries and a food court that the local residence to go to. Surprisingly there is a movie theater inside too. Doubt I'll ever be back but it's a good to know what's out here.
